The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 906

Just as Ocean's reassuring efforts started to work, Jack vomited blood. Not just him, but so did the regular citizens here, such as all the waiting staff in the yard.

"Crap!" Felix stopped quickly. Only then did he remember that regular folks were also present. The martial artists could still resist the effects of the poison somewhat, but the ordinary citizens not versed in the martial arts didn't have a chance. Based on his brief resistance against the poison, he could confirm that an ordinary citizen would die within one minute. How could he watch his best friend die just like that?

"Anyone with silver needles on hand? Take them out!"

With a flick of Felix's hand, all his needles flew toward all directions. Even so, only half of the regular people present were rescued. The others collapsed onto the floor in agony.

"Am I going to die, Felix?" Jack stared at his blood on the ground, his face frozen in disbelief.

"Shut up! As if I'd let you die!"

Milo rushed over to ask Felix, "Are there any substitutes for the needles?"

There were no traditional medical practitioners present, so why would they have silver needles with them?

A harried Felix caught sight of a corner of the yard covered in pebbles, and he quickly said, "Shape the pebbles into needles. Hurry!"

He unsheathed his sword, which prompted everyone else to rush to the pebbled area. The martial artists present all had a strong enough control on energy, so shaping pebbles into needles was still within their abilities.

Even Aiden had started doing something, as he felt something out of the ordinary happen to his body as well. Five more minutes at most, and he'd no longer be able to suppress the poison in his body. When that happened, he would have no choice but to rely on Felix. Almost three minutes later, everyone sat cross-legged on the floor, with many needle-shaped stones attached to their skin.

"You can make an antidote, won't you?" Ronan looked beseechingly at Felix. He'd finally met his future wife after many difficulties, so of course he didn't want to die.

Everyone turned their gazes toward Felix hopefully. He was now their only hope.

As martial artists, they knew the current situation of their bodies well. The acupuncture treatment, coupled with their own strength, could only suppress the effects of the poison temporarily. No one knew how long this could go on.

"I can only try," Felix said.

A terrified Ocean kept on sending Aiden telepathic messages. "What should we do, Aiden? What if Felix succeeds in making an antidote but refuses to give it to us?"

Aiden was worried about that as well. He could only say resignedly, "Who should I ask? You can only hope that Felix upholds his moral standards as a traditional medicine practitioner."

Felix walked over to a waiter and performed the Seven Points of Transcendence routine. The waiter, who looked pale and wilted, recovered quickly.

Upon witnessing that, everyone felt joyous, as it was clear that Felix could heal them.

"You're amazing, Felix!" Ronan called.

Felix ignored that, though. He bent down and took the waiter's pulse, and the results made him frown.

"What's wrong?" Everyone's

attention was on Felix, so they could notice even the slightest change in him, not to mention such an obvious change of expression. It seemed like something terrible was happening.

They were right. The venom in the waiter's body was not fully cleansed, with a remnant of it left. However, when Felix took his pulse, he noticed that the venom was spreading in his body at a terrifying speed. noveldrama

"Damn it! Even the Seven Points of Transcendence can't do anything to it! What on earth is this poison?"
