Chapter 377 A Nostalgic Reunion
Peyton burst out laughing, but her smile faded slightly as she remembered how Nathaniel had rushed into the fire, nearly burning himself to death, to save Frey.
Sometimes, she truly couldn't understand the depth of their bond as their love seemed indescribable and ineffable.
Koen started the car, relieved that tonight's show was finally over and he could relax for a bit.
When Mr. Nathaniel was in love, not only was he exhausted, but so were they.
"Where are you going, Ms. Peyton? Can I take you back?" he asked.
Peyton pondered for a moment. "Send me to the cafe. I've been too busy today to prepare any ingredients."
"Okay, but you owe me some tea later!" Koen teased as if he practically lived at Peyton's cafe.
Peyton chuckled. "Mr. Koen, there's a small bar 0.3 miles ahead. I'll treat you to a drink. You never finish your drinks when you come to my cafe. Don't you think that's a waste?"noveldrama
Koen paused, a brighter smile spreading across his face. "Alright, sounds good!"
Meanwhile, at the lighthouse, the wind blew through the window, bringing a chill.
Nathaniel gently held Frey's hand as they descended the stairs and carried her to the car.
He couldn't control himself when he was with her, kissing her tenderly like a devout believer.
The sound of waves crashing against the shore echoed in the night, which grew darker.
The next morning, Frey woke up in the soft bed of Ocean Villa, her body aching from Nathaniel's passionate embrace.
Nathaniel had left early for the
company. She tried to get up but fell
back into bed, her cheeks flushing at the memory of their night together.

After managing to get up and shower, she went downstairs.

Ms. Lovett beamed at her. Nathaniel had been in an excellent mood, humming songs as he left for work, feeling rejuvenated and full of energy.
Frey finished breakfast and, still sore, called Mandy to chat before lying down again to catch up on sleep.
By noon, unable to stay in bed any longer, she got up, opened her notebook, and began sketching.
The master bedroom door opened, and Nathaniel walked in, his steps light and full of energy. Frey had never seen him like this before.
"Mr. Nathaniel, why are you back at noon?" Frey asked, surprised. Nathaniel usually stayed out for lunch, busy with meetings.
The term "Mr. Nathaniel" dampened the warm atmosphere. Frey realized she was used to addressing him formally.
Nathaniel's expression shifted slightly, but then he smiled, leaning over to kiss her smooth forehead.
"While having lunch in Brusville, I
found a small stall I used to love as a child, he said. "My mother always disliked street food, but I loved the pancakes there. I was only five then and remember it clearly."
Sitting beside her, he took a paper bag from his haute couture suit pocket and opened it to reveal a pancake.
What do you think?
