Chapter 1021
Aisha was fuming when she saw Cecelia. "Cecelia, who do you think you're insulting?"
"You, obviously. What's the matter? Can't understand because you've lost your marbles?" Cecelia smirked, taking a step closer. "You're over your time. Move along, it's my turn now." Cecelia knew all too well how Aisha had been trash-talking Flora behind her back. And now, dragging out her shoot to make Flora wait? Did Aisha really think Cecelia wouldn't get upset? "You take the shot?" Aisha snapped, her eyes narrowing. "In your dreams! As long as I'm here, you won't be shooting anything!"
She then turned to the photographers, "What are you standing around for? Keep shooting!"
The photographers were on edge, not daring to intervene. Both women were out of their league to challenge.
Seeing them hesitate, Aisha's eyes grew cold, but she quickly regained her smug composure. "Cecelia, even if you're the lead, what does it matter? I'm the one calling the shots here. My godfather sunk four million into this project! Does Henrik care about you that much? I doubt he'd spend that kind of money on you."
Cecelia couldn't help but laugh at Aisha's audacity. Bringing money to the table and acting so entitled?
She was about to put Aisha in her place when a calm, amused voice cut in.
"Four million? That's quite a sum."
That voice!
It was so familiar! Aisha's head whipped towards the door.
Two people walked in. The one in front was a crew member she recognized, and behind was a girl wrapped in a down jacket, sporting a maroon scarf and mask that hid her face, yet she seemed oddly familiar...Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
The crew member, hearing Flora's
comment, nearly stumbled over her own feet. She turned, alarmed, thinking Elora wasn't really cut out for the entertainment scene. Was she out of her mind? She was practically baiting Aisha, known for her fiery temper!
This girl, working here and not knowing her place!
Cecelia saw Flora too and felt a mix of irritation. The young lady rarely joined her, and now they had to deal with this nonsense.
"Who are you?" Aisha glared at Flora, her eyes practically boring holes into her.
"Ms. Aisha, she's Cecelia's assistant. She's not very articulate, so don't mind her," the crew member said awkwardly, trying to shield Flora. The girl looked so young, having t to work at such a young age, especially in showbiz, must be tough, right? Maybe, like her, Flora came from a family that favored boys, pushing her to work early.
"Cecelia's assistant?" Aisha relaxed, casting a dismissive glance at Flora. Just an assistant. She had thought it might be Flora herself.
But then again, how could it be
Flora? Aisha had only seen Floraca couple of times, months ago, in the summer. Now it was winter, and everyone was bundled up, soshe didn't recognize her.
"Cecelia, coming from the sticks with no manners, your people are no different. Since when does an assistant get a say in our conversation?"
And talking as if four million was a fortune-well, it is a lot. More than they'd earn in a lifetime!
Cecelia was amused by their eagerness to dig their own graves. With Flora's extraordinary presence, how could they mistake her for just an assistant?
Flora gently placed her hand on Cecelia's shoulder, signaling her to stay silent.
Hmm... Watching a fool trip over themselves was sometimes quite the show.
"Since you're an assistant," Aisha continued, "you should know your place. Why don't you get me a glass of water?"
