Chapter 1020
Flora: "Huh?"
"You know, being a star's assistant is all about handling things with finesse," a staff member, assuming Flora was just another overworked employee like her, couldn't resist giving some advice. "Look at you, not even offering to carry Cecelia's bags. When Cecelia goes to change, you just sit there on your phone. It's only because Cecelia is so nice that you haven't been shown the door yet."
Flora: "..."
"Jobs aren't easy to come by, so treasure the one you've got," the staff member sighed, giving Flora a supportive pat on the shoulder.
Flora could only chuckle awkwardly, not really knowing what to say.
Once Cecelia had changed and done her makeup, she emerged to find the staff member and Flora chatting animatedly. Curious, she wandered over to see what was up.
As soon as the staff member spotted Cecelia, she jumped up with a smile, "Cecelia, you're all set! I was just having a chat with your assistant here. She's really sweet and was singing your praises the whole time! She kept saying how kind and thoughtful you are to everyone!" Cecelia was puzzled.
Wait, since when did Flora become her assistant?
"Is the person inside not ready yet?" Cecelia asked, glancing toward the studio.
Each person had a set time for their photos, and the previous one was already running late.
"Not yet," the staff member replied, a bit embarrassed. "I tried to hurry them up, but it might take a bit longer."
"Alright, we'll hang tight then."
Cecelia wasn't bothered, though she hoped Flora wasn't getting impatient.
"I'll go nudge Ms. Aisha-"
"Hold on," Cecelia cut in, "Who did you say is in there?"
"Miss Aisha," came the reply.
Cecelia chuckled.
Oh, it's her.
She could wait for anyone but Aisha!
"Hey, just hang out here for a sec, okay?" Cecelia said to Flora before marching into the studio. "Wait, Cecelia "
The staff member hurried after her,
something might go down,

Flora.
Inside the studio.
Aisha was striking pose after pose.
The photographer was fed up but kept his mouth shut.
The show's investor had a close tie with Aisha, making her untouchable. "This angle is off, do it again," Aisha insisted, dissatisfied with the shot.
"Ms. Aisha, Ms. Cecelia's been waiting outside for a while now..." the photographer said, exasperated Aisha was only the second lead, while Cecelia was the star. If this kept up, Cecelia wouldn't have enough time.
"Just take the picture, stop whining," Aisha snapped.
She wasn't having the best of times lately, with Cecelia snagging all the good opportunities.
Even as the second lead here, she was overshadowed by Cecelia.

Knowing Cecelia was waiting, she dragged things out on purpose.
With her stalling, Cecelia wouldn't get her photos done today.
The studio was caught in a bind since Aisha's presence came with financial backing.
Just as Aisha smugly returned to pose again,
a voice cut through the air.
"Lady, no amount of photos is gonna help. Quit giving the photographer a hard time."
Everyone in the studio froze, eyes darting to the door.
Who dared to call Aisha out like that?
Aisha's face turned stormy, her eyes blazing as she glared at the entrance.
A striking woman leaned casually against the doorframe.
It was Cecelia herself.
