Chasing Back My Ex-wife

Chapter 45

Chapter 45

Lucy was worried that Arthur would misunderstand their relationship and attack the Pate Group again, so she distanced herself from him. "I'm fine."

After that, she took the initiative to hold Arthur's hand and lead him to her car. "Let's go home."

Maddox stood where he was and watched as the Audi slowly disappeared from his sight. His heart ached badly.

He... was still so useless!

In the Audi.

The car was pretty spacious, but because Arthur was sitting in the passenger seat, it felt cramped.

The air seemed to have become heavy, and Lucy struggled with every breath. She felt like she was drowning.

A few times, she wanted to explain herself to him, but she didn't know what to say.

Arthur had always been a stubborn person, and he never listened to others' explanations. He only believed in what he saw and what he thought!

"Stop the car." Arthur said suddenly. His voice sounded slightly hoarse and tense.

Lucy turned to look at him. "We're only minutes away from Lindbarry Chateau... Arthur, what are you doing?"

Arthur put his hand on hers on the steering wheel and stepped on the brakes.

The Audi swerved for a while before coming to a violent stop amidst the harsh sound of brakes.

The brake was too sudden, and Lucy jerked forward uncontrollably. She had thought the impact would hurt very much, but unexpectedly, Arthur's hand held her forehead and took the pain for her.

"!"

Her heart skipped a beat, then started beating wildly.

"Arthur, you... oh!" Lucy looked up, wanting to ask Arthur why he had protected her, but he gripped her chin and ravaged her lips like a madman.

"Arthur, are you...are you mad?!" Lucy struggled to lower her head and bit him on the shoulder.

He had gone mad indeed. She had driven him mad!

At that moment, all he wanted to do was to f*ck her. Only then could he feel that she was really still with him.

Humiliation! Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Humiliation overwhelmed her. She felt like dying on the spot to escape that sense of humiliation!

Only when Arthur kissed her again did he realize that her face was stained with tears.

He paused, and he felt as though his heart was being ripped apart. The pain nearly took his breath away.

However, because of that very reason, he felt even more determined to have her!

She wanted to leave him so badly. She would only stay by him willingly if he had a child with her!

Ring—

Ring—

A phone started ringing in the silence.

"Don't be like this. Don't be like this, please?" Lucy looked out the window, her vision blurred. Did she really have to suffer such humiliation then and there?

"As I said, Maddox and I are just normal friends. Why won't you believe me?"

"Would normal friends kiss?! Lucy, do you take me for a fool?"

Lucy thought he really was a madman. "Arthur, you will always be this unreasonable!"

"I'm unreasonable? In your eyes, only Maddox is reasonable, isn't it?" Arthur grabbed her bra and ripped it apart forcefully.

He wanted her to know that no matter how hard she struggled, she could never escape his grasp!

Out of the corner of her eye, Lucy spotted the ashtray. She struggled against Arthur with all her might while reaching for the ashtray.

At most, they would die together that night. She wouldn't let him threaten her again!

The determination in her eyes stung Arthur. He gripped her hand hard, wanting to make her let go of the ashtray.

However, Lucy was hell-bent, and she put a lot of strength into it. He dared not grip her too hard for fear that the ashtray would hurt her, so they were caught in a stalemate for a moment.

Amidst the fight, Lucy's toes touched the phone screen and finally answered the call after god knows how many times the phone had rung. Lizbeth's fearful, trembling voice sounded out——

"Arthur, my... my heart hurts. I think... I'm having a heart attack!"

She said in agony and her voice was tearful.

Arthur paused, released Lucy, and grabbed the phone. He sounded a little anxious. "Where are you?"

Lucy turned away, not wanting to see the obvious look of worry on his face.

"The...airport. I... Arthur, I...feel terrible." Lizbeth stuttered. Arthur had gone pale.

He looked at Lucy, took off his coat, and covered her with it. "Wait for me at Lindbarry Chateau. Don't

try anything funny!"

With that, he got out of the car, flagged down a taxi, and left without even looking back.

Lucy looked down at his coat and smirked without even realizing it. A bitter look filled her eyes.

Then, she pinched the coat up and tossed it out the window without thinking twice!
