Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

18、Leaving Again

**Lisa’s POV**

I and Leon got back together again. It was a satisfying feeling that I didn’t give up my feelings for him and I didn’t give chances to those who wanted to get into my heart. I nearly considered the proposal of William, but seeing the complication of the relationship that I will get into if ever I accept his proposal, I back out. Thank goodness that I was stuck in the problem of Sheena for having fallen for William. That will give me more complications at the end. Not only for myself but also with my work.

A week after the examination that I took from the military installation, me and Leon were constantly in touch. If he’s not coming to take me home because of work related reasons, he would call. If he could come, he would call at lunch time to let me know that he will be coming. That was my everyday schedule with Leon, it was a heartwarming feeling. As if my life is complete again.

I was so surprised I got an early call of the day. I was thinking who could it be. To my surprise it was Leon.

“Hello baby!” He excitedly calls me.

“Yes, hello! What’s the matter? Why are you excited?” I was confused.

“You passed the examination! I never doubted you a bit. You really made it. I’m proud of you.” He proudly said.

“What about you? How did you score?” I asked him.

“Nah! I’m not really expecting to pass that examination, besides it was hard. It seemed like a Statistics and Probability examination, like how the computer works. It is not my forte anyway. It is really for you. Though I gained more than what I expected from that examination because I saw you and now, we’re together again.” He reasoned.

“Yeah, I know. I’m sorry though you didn’t pass. At least you try your best.” I answered.

“Don’t be sad baby. I can still come and send you home. It is like going to work and leaving for work after office hours. I will be waiting for you after your class.” He consoled me.

“Did they announce the start of classes?” I asked.

“Yes, the classes will start two weeks starting today and you need to register to let them know that you are interested to join. Because there are some wait listers that would fill your place if you failed to fill your registration on time. This could be an added knowledge and achievement at the same time. Very seldom people are given this chance, so grab it babe.” He explained.

“Thank you for the encouragement.” I told him.

That afternoon I filed for a half day leave at the office to take my registration process at the military installation. After that, I called Leon and said that I have done my registration and I’ll be waiting for him at the snack bar in the lobby of my office building after office hours. I still need to go to the office to file my resignation. It needs 30 days for the approval of my resignation. So, I have to work for the remaining two weeks and the remaining days will be filed as leave to consummate the 30 days approval of my resignation.

Things went well for the remaining two weeks at my work as well as my relationship with Leon.

The start of my class at the military installation has come and I am so excited to start the day. But while I was preparing for the day, Leon called me at home and told me that he would pick me up after class and he would be waiting for me at the lobby of the camp. I was so happy that he is a caring boyfriend and had never failed to call each day to let me know that he is always there for me.

The first day of the class went well, not to mention some other attendees were surprised to see women entered into this kind of facility. Just like in school I came from women were treated no less because we were just women. We need to excel to prove to them that we also have brains. I and my friend Elizabeth were the two women who passed their examinations and we want to prove them wrong that we were not just women, we can make the difference when it comes to computers.

A month before the end of our course on the military installation, Leon talked to me about his plan to go abroad. I have nothing against his plan because it can help us a lot to prepare for our future as he said. So, I agree since my parents have not yet known that we have been together. They have not seen Leon ever since the last time he went to our house. I don’t know if it is an advantage or disadvantage because of our previous situation. Sometimes I have the urge to tell my father my current relationship with Leon. Though Leon just waited for me to decide to tell or not to tell my parents our relationship now.

His contract is for only two years and after he finishes his contract, we will get married. What a dreamy plan, I just hope it comes to reality. Though I don’t dream of having a grand wedding, just close family and friends will do.

The seriousness of his intention to go abroad gives him anxiety. Sometimes I saw him staring at nothingness.

“Leon to earth. What are you thinking? Is there any problem? Since you plan to go abroad, you have been silent. What’s the matter?” I asked himExclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

“I was just thinking, what if I left you for two years and your parents still don’t know that we’re back together again. What would they say if after my contract was finished and asked for your hands in marriage, would they not get angry after knowing that we already have a relationship again?” He asked.

“Is that what you are thinking? Well, if that bothers you a lot, we can talk to them if you like. You just need to face the wrath my father would have against you.” I told him.

“I don’t mind, anyway it is still my fault for not coming forward about my problem then.” He reasoned out.

“If that is what you want, I can’t say no.” I agreed with him.

“I will just let you know when I am ready once my flight is already confirmed.” He confirmed.

My training has nearly come to an end and Leon has already signed his contract abroad. He just needed to confirm his flight schedule so I can talk to my parents regarding our plan. I just hope it will turn out right.
