Chapter 378
She looked up in surprise, "Why is it you?"
"Why can't it be me? Disappointed to see me?"
Orion leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on her.
Lemira leaned against the doorframe, "I thought Thaddeus would be here, not you. Looks like you're quite the dedicated consultant." "Come here, did you find any issues?"
Lemira walked over, standing in front of the desk, "I did find a small glitch. We'll need to have a meeting to sort it out."
Orion tapped on the desk, "Come take a look. Is it the same issue you found?"
He's testing too?
Lemira circled the desk to stand beside him.noveldrama
Orion stood up, offering his seat to Lemira, then poured a glass of water and set it beside her.
Lemira scrolled the mouse, eyeing the error he pointed out, "I thought there was something off. You noticed it too." Admittedly, Orion had a bit of an edge over her.
He leaned in to look at the computer, "Actually, it's quite obvious."
Resting one hand on the edge of the desk, he calmly explained the issue, showing patience.
At first, Lemira listened intently, but then she turned her head, noticing their proximity.
He was leaning over, almost as if he was encircling her in his arms.
Suddenly, Lemira couldn't concentrate. She grabbed the glass of water and took a few sips, quenching her thirst. Orion then paused, glancing at the glass in her hand, "Thirsty?"
Lemira nodded.
He smiled, "That's my glass."
His glass?
Lemira felt her face heat up, quickly setting the glass down, "I'll get you another one."
"No need, let's go grab some dinner."
Orion straightened up, widening the distance between them, as if the moment of closeness had never happened.
Lemira rose from her seat, "It's getting late. I should head back to the dorm before it's too late."
The dorm had a curfew.
Orion glanced at the time; indeed, t was late. He remembered Orvin University dorms closed at 11 PM.
"I'll drive you."
Lemira joined Orion in leaving the office, sitting in the passenger seat.

conversation, "Thaddeus
come in today?"
"Did you need him for something?"
"He brought in that lawyer for the lawsuit, you know? Mr. Alfred, the famous one!"
Orion responded evenly, "Yeah, I know."
"What's the deal between Thaddeus and Dorian?"
Lemira knew Thaddeus was wealthy, but she didn't realize his connection to the Draven family. Orion's car stopped at a red light, "Why do you ask?"
"Dorian
to court with Evelina

odd, implying Mr. Alfred took the case because of his cousin's influence."
Lemira didn't mention Dorian's insinuation about her having an affair.
Orion knew he couldn't hide it any longer.
After a moment, he said, "He is Dorian's cousin."
Lemira was stunned, "Thaddeus is an heir to the Draven family?"
She hadn't realized Thaddeus' background was so significant.
She looked seriously at the man driving beside her, "I had no idea your buddy was so loaded."
Orion felt slightly guilty, "It's okay, I guess."
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"It wasn't necessary."
Lemira thought it over; maybe there was no need, perhaps Thaddeus didn't want his identity revealed.
Soon, the car stopped outside the school.
After getting out, Lemira waved at him, "Drive safe."
"Lemira, ditching your sugar daddy. to date this broke guy? Playing both sides, aren't you scared Mr.
will find out and dump you?

Evelina, reeking of alcohol and perfume from a night at the bar, approached them. Orion's expression turned cold instantly.
