“Ziu Lee,” she groaned, corked the pistol and put it back into the drawer. She squeezed herself into a tuxedo suit, and snapped into the mirror, next she let loose her ponytail which spread to her neck as she looked as a diva. Earlier she had visited the saloon and made sure it was well washed and made into sheen. She had also visited the tattoo shop and drew herself a tattoo on her neck, arm and left leg. The tattoo was no other thing than the name of the Chinese billionaire Ziu Lee, which was written stylishly with sign of love beside it; she never intended to draw his name as tattoo on her body but it was one of her tricks of trapping him down. She smiled as she glared at the piece of tattoo on her arm. She wore her fragrance and went onto her closet to pick up her travelers bag, which she opened to confirm some of her travel documents. She winked at the passport and visa to China and then she wiped it twice in her palms before she put it back, and reached to her stiletto shoe. She looked into the mirror for the very last time, wore her sunshades, picked up her bag and had a walk.
Soon she was in the taxi on her way to the airport. She looked nervous as she stared at the trees and houses that threw past as they drove. She was nervous because she was on a mission of no return. Whatever that would become of her would be her fate. Come to think of it she had survived just some yards away from death. She wondered why the billionaire spared her life. Did he see her and fell in love with her or he had pity on her? The police had told her vividly that the billionaire instructed them to let her live. Or was it because he found the software- she had heard two of the police men discussing it when she regained consciousness. Perhaps he was happy that he had defeated and there was no need flogging the dead horse. She perceived he must be richer by now, because he might have started putting the soft ware to work. The world would be in his palms by now. She was ready to face the good the bad and the ugly. Going for her pound of flesh was just the only thing left. Staying back was never going to make her happy for the rest of her life. She had lost everything to him – everything! Love, happiness, money. It was end of road for her but not her alone this time around.- Ziu Lee would go down with her. She would ensure she brought down all about Ziu to zero. The world would no longer be his again.
The taxi dropped her at the airport and she hastened to the departure terminal where she would board her flight to China.
Soon she was on the plane, well seated to a white guy with long hair that tapered like black wet pasta. She took off her sunshades to behold this cutie sitting next to her. She stared him from head to toe. He was well built like modern robot, his nose well carved like the beak of a bird, his kiss-it-lips were red as though vampires just feasted on them. He was reading a magazine and each time he smiled, those well arranged dentition of his sparkled in their glory. Who is this guy? Why do I have to come across cute guys all my life? She started of a discussion.
Is it your first time to China?” she asked, and watched as he shook his head still focused on the magazine.
“And you is this your first time” he asked, flipping through the magazine and still staring into it.
“Opula smiled, “No, because I have visited it so many times in my dream.” She answered jocularly.
They laughed briefly and he looked at her for the first time since the journey. He admired her skin type and the bust that pushed onto her sleeves. “So why are you visiting?” he asked, his face smirked with smiles that Opula was paused to wonder if she was the reason for the smile or the magazine in his hand.
“I am just visiting to have sweet look at the awesome city. Or isn’t china the ancient city of the world.” She cautioned herself never to reveal her mission to anybody. She was on a mission of no return yet it was worth the secret.
“Yes it is,” the cutie said and closed the magazine to focus on his interesting companion. I promise you a wonderful stay as you visit.”
“Are you Chinese,” she asked swiftly, really feeling the urge to ask him all along because he never looked Chinese yet had commitment to it.
“I am American but China is my maternal home. I only visit during summer or the fall, but I look forward to relocate to China in future,” he said, fondled into his bag and brought out a folded paper. “Here is your guard map as you tour China.” He handed her the map and she smiled hugely in appreciation.
She opened it and started glancing through the cities.
“Which city are you visiting first?” he asked, staring at her expectantly for reply.
“Eh,” she said using her stares to comb around the map, really confused about the city to mention but sure of her mission, “Beijing, yes Beijing or Kowloon, just anywhere. Do you know those places?” she asked coldly.
“Yes I do beautiful places. They are awesome to behold, with skyscrapers and mighty world industries,” he replied and stole a glance at her fingers to observe there was no ring. She was single anyways and he was also.
“Do you know Ziu Tech,” she asked, still kept to her smile so as not to arouse suspicion.
“Ziu Tech? The Ziu Tech of this world? Wow! Who doesn’t know Ziu in China? It is one of the richest ICT Company that is owned by Ziu Lee, a powerful billionaire. I think you would love to visit Ziu Tech.” he said and handed her the magazine, “see in that magazine is a software he just launched some months ago. You can read it up yourself. Ziu is taking over the world,” he said
She smiled, took the magazine and read how he had converted their soft ware to investigative software which Chinese government adopted. Bastard. I am coming for you, she thought and said, “I am Opula and you?”
“You can call me Fanny.”
“Nice name, Fanny. Can you be my tour guard?” she demanded and felt like telling him how cute he was too. Their eyes locked; the magic just begun…
