Chapter 70 An Ingrate
Chapter 70 An Ingrate
Larry got James's overtones, so he glared at him with a long face.
"James, just cut to the chase!"
James held onto Kara's small hand wrapped in gauze and sneered coldly, "I sent her here to study, not
to be abused!"
"Why are you injured?" Larry frowned. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
"It's not a big deal, I accidentally cut myself."
Kara was surprised about what James had said.
When James said that he had something to tell Larry downstairs, she thought it would be something
important. She didn't expect he would talk about her injury.
"Don't you know that the hands are very important to a painter?" James asked seriously.
Kara lowered her head.
She didn't dare to speak.
"The first class turned to be physical education. I'm really impressed by Larry's teaching method!"
Larry couldn't understand James's anger. Yesterday, when he asked Kara to clean up the small studio,
she got injured.
Back then, this small studio was filled with debris. It was her mother who tidied it up bit by bit and made
it her own studio.
Now that Kara was going to study with him, so at first, he wanted her to clean it up by herself, but he
didn't expect that she would get injured. It was partly his fault.
He angrily sent someone to get Frankie. Didn't he tell Frankie to help Kara yesterday?
Frankie came over, but before he realized what was going on, Larry scolded him seriously.
"Master Larry, don't scold him. I was too careless. Uncle Frankie helped me a lot, and the studio
wouldn't be tidied up without him."
Kara felt guilty and braced herself to explain.
"That's what he should do."
Larry put on a long face and blamed Frankie sourly, "She called you uncle, but you still let her work.
Frankie, are you ashamed?"
Frankie didn't dare to refute, so he could only lower his head and keep silent.
Kara didn't want to see Frankie being scolded, so she tugged at James's sleeve coquettishly, hoping he
could say something for Frankie.
James glanced at Frankie indifferently and asks coldly, "Will I get benefits by doing this?"
His voice was deep and magnetic. When she heard this, she trembled and a special feeling raised up
in her heart.
Kara looked at him with her big eyes. She didn't expect that he would make requests.
"I, I'll give you a massage, okay?"
James thought of her soft hands. It would be very comfortable if she used them to massage his head.
He wondered what it would feel like if it was another part of his body.
However, his face was indifferent, and his brown eyes were too deep to be seen through.
"Master Larry, Kara asked what class you are going to have today."
This topic diverted Larry's attention. He introduced seriously to Kara the rules of the examination of the
School of Arts in University A.
Kara realized that James had solved the problem in a word. She was very impressive and admired him.
James pursed her thin lips and left the classroom.
As soon as he got in the car, Libby called and said that Kathleen had come to the villa to see Kara.
He narrowed his eyes as he thought about what the Quains had done to Kara. His eyes were filled with
bloodthirst.
"Libby, tell her to wait!"
Then he called Nolan to ask about the situation at the Quain's.
Meanwhile, at the Quain's.
It was Sunday, so Rose slept until almost noon, then went downstairs to find something to eat.
Seeing her messy hair and her pajama, Sophia scolded seriously.
"Rose, you are a girl. You should dress up to meet the guests downstairs. You got up so late. Luckily,
we see you as a daughter. If it's at your place and the whole family is waiting for you to cook, then you'll
all starve to death."
Rose was awkward. She understood that Sophia was picking on her.
She couldn't argue with her, so she went to the fridge to get two pieces of bread, turned around, and
went upstairs.
"Rose, do you know how to be polite? How could you just take your things and go away without
greeting me? You are such an ingrate, and you have such a bad temper!"
Sophia was so angry that her face turned green. She was very depressed.
She wanted to get rid of Rose, but there was no good reason.
At first, Rose was obedient, so Sophia just took Rose like keeping a pet. She gave her shelter and food
and asked her to keep an eye on Kara. She once liked Rose at that time.
However, ever since she saw Rose and Adam hugging each other that night, she began to feel
uncomfortable every time she saw Rose.
Rose had become an eyesore.
After dinner, Sophia waited in the living room for Adam. She wanted to discuss with him about sending
Rose away.
Late at night, Adam was finally home with a smell of alcohol on his breath. She frowned while holding
his arms.
"Adam, I have something to discuss with you."
"What?"
Adam went upstairs in a daze. He just wanted to take a bath and go to sleep.
"Adam, I want to rent a house for Rose and ask her to move out. What do you think?"
Adam was stunned and pretended that he couldn't understand, "I have a headache. I want to sleep."
"Sleep, sleep. You can't do anything else. Can't you talk to me for a while?"
Sophia lost her temper. She had to take care of the Quains every day, and she had to put up with
Linda.
Now that her husband was back home and she just wanted to talk to him, he ignored her, which made
her really depressed.
"You're being ridiculous. I've been working all day and I have to entertain the clients at night. I'm tired."
Adam was impatient. When his mother wanted him to divorce Sophia because she couldn't give birth to
a boy, he did not agree.
Now he could only feel bored with her awful face.
Sophia was furious. Did he mean that she wasn't busy every day?
"Adam, it is a tiring job to run the house. Can't you understand me? Or you don't want to talk to me
because you have someone else to talk to now?"
Adam was somewhat guilty, "Sophia, don't be ridiculous. If you don't want me to sleep here, I'll sleep in
the study!"
"Go ahead, who cares?" Sophia was also very angry.
Adam stood up irritably and left without hesitation.
When Sophia saw him left, her face was twisted in anger. She scolded him to get away. She heard the
door slammed, then she cried with her hands covering her face.
Adam went downstairs and poured himself a glass of water to refresh himself. He heard someone
coming over, then he decided to hide behind the sofa.
Rose had been waiting for everyone else to go to bed. She ran downstairs and found something to eat
in the kitchen, then quickly ran upstairs.
After eating and drinking, she took a shower and turned off the lights to get ready for bed.
Suddenly, there came a black shadow, and she was hugged by someone.
"Help ..."
Her mouth was covered, and she became more terrified. She struggled violently.
"Don't move, baby. Do you remember that night?"
Rose's eyes were wide open. It was Adam!
She was an adult, and long as she felt it was worthwhile, she didn't care to sleep with a man.
So, she was not surprised at all about what Adam was doing. She only felt sick at his bad breath.
"Your aunt wants you back to your hometown. If you don't want to leave, then be a good girl." Rose
was so scared that she didn't dare to move.
If she left the Quain's, there would be no place to go, especially in these days when she was about to
take the college entrance exam.
Therefore, when Adam was asking for it, she could only endure.
