Chapter 252
Chapter 252
Chapter 252 The Grand Finale 2
As Alyssa approached Deborah with a donut in hand, Deborah woke up.
Deborah opened her eyes, glanced sideways, and took a look not far down the hallway.
It seems unintentional, yet not quite.
Alyssa followed her gaze, but saw nothing.
Ashton left, disappearing without a trace.
Alyssa suddenly wondered if Deborah hadn’t been sleeping so deeply just a moment ago.
She might know, might have sensed it.
Even so, Alyssa simply handed over the donut, holding back those words and not. asking.
Deborah reached out, grabbed a donut with a spoon, and took a bite.
She laughed and said, “It tastes good, but it’s still not quite as good as what you make. with Mr. Black.”
Alyssa, acting as if nothing was wrong, sat down beside her and nodded in agreement.
“Ah, Mr. Black’s cooking skills are truly incomparable to ordinary people.”
Deborah smiled as she grabbed another spoon, scooping up a donut to feed her.
“You have such a sweet tongue.”
Alyssa opened her mouth to take a bite of the donut, but noticed that Deborah’s eyes were red.
Deborah reached out and gently embraced her, “Alyssa, I’m sorry.”
Alyssa smiled with a puzzled expression, “What is Mom talking about? I didn’t provoke her. If Mom is in
a bad mood, Mr. Black and the three uncles will all give me a hard time.”
Deborah looked at her and said, “No, Alyssa is the most important one. No matter what, even after her
little sister or little brother is born, Alyssa will always be the most important one.”

Alyssa’s eyes reddened slightly as she hugged Deborah, “I know, thank you, Mom.’
Deborah soaked up some sun and then returned to the hospital room with Alyssa.
In the hospital corridor, I happened to bump into Zayne, who was wearing a white lab
coat.
Zayne approached with a smile and greeted her, “Deborah, you’re looking better and better.
Congratulations!”
Deborah smiled, “Dr. Gaige seems to be in a good mood too.”
Zayne suddenly thought of something, took out his wallet from his pocket, and handed
a bank card to Deborah.
“Whatever Simone owed you before, I’ve paid it back on her behalf.”
During the time when Simone and Damian were going through their divorce lawsuit, Simone owed
money to the Zeller family. It was Deborah who stepped in and helped
cover the debt for her.
Deborah looked at the card with a smile, then turned to Zayne, “What is this?”
She teased, “Shouldn’t Dr. Gaige come up with a reason before paying Simone back?”
Zayne then took out an invitation and handed it to her, “I originally planned to give this to you when the
wedding date was closer. But I’ll give it to you now. It’s for my wedding with Simone, and I hope both
you and Joseph can attend.”
Deborah then reached out, taking both the bank card and the invitation together.
“If you say so, then I won’t be polite anymore.”
Zayne smiled as he watched her leave with Alyssa.
One year later.
Deborah sat in the rattan chair in the front yard of Moxley Manor, helplessly watching Adrian
monopolize her son’s attention.
Steven, Norman, and the rest of the Moxley family were all eagerly waiting to take their
turn.
Joseph sat with Deborah, and they both couldn’t help but laugh.
Adrian held the baby swaddled in a blanket, playfully refusing to hand the child over to
anyone else. C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
“Look at this, my little Louis Black only likes me, his uncle. As soon as I hold him, he stops crying. What
can I do about it?”
Steven couldn’t wait any longer. He moved closer, wanting to embrace but not daring to
snatch.
Stretching out both hands, he eagerly said, “Let me hold him for a bit, I bet he won’t cry when I do.
Adrian, I’m your big brother. Come on, let Steven hold you for a while.”
Norman immediately became unhappy, as Steven had already hugged her before.
Now, it’s his turn.
Norman approached with a serious expression on his face and said, “The way you’re
holding the baby is unprofessional. Come on, I’m a doctor. Give the child to me, and I’ll
demonstrate the proper technique for you.”
Joseph was feeling rather upset, “Can you guys stop arguing for a moment and consider how I, as the
father, feel? I’ve been waiting here all day, and I haven’t even been able to
touch my son.
Nora walked over with a smile, “Alright Adrian, come on, give Louis to Mom. Mom will
let Joseph hold him for a bit. Joseph just became a dad and hasn’t had enough of it yet. You guys can
take turns holding him later on.”
Adrian noticed Evelyn coming out from inside, and realized it was not appropriate to compete with his
own mother. Reluctantly, he handed the little child over to Nora’s
arms.
Joseph immediately stood up and reached out his hand. “Thank you, Mom.”
Nora took the sweet-smelling baby in her arms, her eyes filled with joy as she held him close, “Joseph,
let Mom hold Louis for a bit, and then I’ll give him back to you, okay?”
As Joseph waited, Nora held the child for more than half an hour without handing him.
over.
The Moxley family’s three brothers gloat as they watch him wait.
Taking advantage of the crowd, Evelyn stealthily moved closer to Adrian. Standing on her tiptoes, she
leaned in toward his ear and whispered a sentence softly.
As soon as the words were spoken, Adrian’s face lit up with joy and he exclaimed, “Two lines, doesn’t
that mean you’re pregnant?”
Evelyn’s face turned bright red in an instant, and she slapped him hard, “Why are you so loud? Can’t
you lower your voice? What are you yelling about?”
Adrian was overjoyed, scooping up Evelyn in his arms and heading inside.
Nora handed Louis over to Joseph, then hurriedly caught up with them, both excited and worried. “Be
careful with this little guy,” she warned. “Put Evelyn down quickly! Don’t let her get bumped or hurt, you
hear me?”
Adrian could hardly contain his excitement. As he prepared to take Evelyn to the hospital for a check-
up, he couldn’t wait to call his in-laws and share the wonderful
news.
Deborah sat in the yard, looking through the floor-to-ceiling glass at the overjoyed Adrian and Nora in
the living room.
Deborah was genuinely delighted and immediately instructed Steven and Norman to go inside and see
if there was anything they could help with.
Norman is a doctor, while Steven is calm, competent, and good at managing the overall situation, so
perhaps he could be of help.
Steven and Norman reluctantly let go of Louis and entered, still feeling a lingering
attachment.
Joseph brought baby Louis, swaddled in his blanket, over to Deborah’s side.
Deborah picked up a delicate porcelain doll from beside her and playfully dangled it in front of Louis.
The baby was very interested, following the porcelain doll in Deborah’s hand with its
gaze.
Far away in another country, Ashton looked at the photos on his phone, showing Deborah and her big,
happy family enjoying themselves.
He looked on, fascinated, with a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
Then, he raised his hand, wanting to touch the face in the photo.
His hand slowly lifted, but before it could touch her, it fell back down.
The phone slipped from my hand and fell to the ground.
The heart rate monitor emitted a piercing sound.
Rebecca, with her eyes red and swollen, burst in from outside.
Ashton spoke softly, “After I die, bury me here, and don’t tell them.”
He would stay in a foreign land, and no longer bother them.
Rebecca’s hands clenched tightly, her teeth chattering as she looked at him.
“Don’t you have anything else to tell me?”
Ashton glanced at her, and his eyes gave her the answer.
No, she was never in his heart.
He slowly closed his eyes, his expression peaceful.
Debby, in our next life, please, let’s not meet again.
Deborah held the porcelain doll in her hand, slowly swaying it in front of Louis’ eyes.
She laughed, and suddenly, for a moment, she seemed lost in thought.
The porcelain doll suddenly fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.
The sound of shattered porcelain abruptly yanked her thoughts back to reality.
Joseph immediately took her hand with concern, “Are you alright?”
Deborah shook her head, “It’s fine. The wind is picking up, let’s go inside.”
Joseph nodded, holding Louis with one arm while helping her up with the other.
Deborah stood up and noticed Alyssa nearby. She reached out and pulled Alyssa into an embrace.
Joseph held baby Louis in his arms while tightly holding Deborah’s hand.
The most important things in his life were now within his grasp.
Deborah quietly held his hand in return.
The past has faded away, and the rest of my life lies ahead, a smooth path to follow.
They walked inside together.
The warm glow of the setting sun bathed their silhouettes, creating a cozy and beautiful scene that
seemed to stretch on to the very end of time.
