The Wolf Who hated alphas

Chapter 28 – The Honor of an Alpha

The Ramesses’ house was beautiful with glass windows and a beautiful garden outside and stood on a hill above a river of crystal clear water.

Verena waited for them in front of the door with a smile. When Sera and Karim came out of the car holding hands, she ran to hug them.

Sera smiled, at least Karim’s mother didn’t seem averse to her like his father.

“I’m glad to meet you. You don’t have to get so tense. Otto’s not home right now. Come on, I prepared what you asked me to, Karim, honey.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, ma’am. Your house is beautiful.” – Sera wrote.

“Oh dear, thank you.” – he said directing his gaze to Jae Hyun. “Nice to see you Mr Kim.”

The house inside was cold floor and cream-colored walls. Verena took them to an office with the papers on a wooden table. Sera smiled upon seeing pictures of the family on the table. This made her wish she had something of the sort someday.

Quickly, with no time to observe further, the group began to read the Ramesses family papers.

“Mom, can you tell us something about my aunt’s death?” – Karim asked.

Verena denied in a gesture, immediately answering:

“I was pregnant with your brother when it happened. Almost in labor. I tried to get information from your father about it, but got no answers. Realizing that it would not work, I stopped insisting.”

Karim watched her for a few seconds and Sera could see how they were alike, both possessing a gentle look. Obviously, when your alpha wasn’t being an arrogant jerk.

“And where was she buried?”

Venera took a long breath.

“It’s a secret I don’t know to this day.”

Verena left them alone to analyze the papers. Those containing ancient languages were handed over to Jae Hyun. While Karim and Sera took care of the rest.

There was nothing important so far, only historical issues of family and family tree. Sera looked at the papers, disappointed.

“I found something.” – Karim exclaimed with a smile.

He showed Sera a drawing of a silhouette of a seated woman.

“I discovered this painting as a child, while playing with Theo, my brother.”

Karim walked around the office looking for something. Soon he stood in front of a portrait of an Egyptian gentleman with a long beard and removed him from the wall. Behind him was another portrait, painted with the same silhouette of the paper. But now it was possible to see a young woman with gentle eyes, black hair and yellow eyes, in a beautiful white and gold dress.

Karim looked at the portrait with a homesick smile.

“It’s her for sure, Aunt Damia.”

Karim also removed her portrait and behind it was a white-bound notebook. The alpha opened it and Sera began to read with him, silently.

“Dreams intensified last night. I thought they were silly things, but I woke up with the memory of my wolf staring at me.”

“Mother appeared to me today. She has a wonderful energy that I can’t explain. I can’t believe we forgot her. Today I woke up with tears in my eyes.”

“I’ve been trying for months to convince Otto to set up an altar for Mother. He won’t listen to me. I’m afraid that will have consequences.”

10/08/2004

Lincoln Cohen has been looking at me strangely. It must be me.

15/09/2004

Lincoln invited me to be his omega. I rejected it. He seems like someone cold and insensitive. I don’t want to have any relationship with him.

I feel dirty… n… n… I don’t believe that …. He… he did it to me. I took more than three baths today, this feeling does not disappear.

If Otto finds out, there’ll be a war.

This part was stained with tears and Sera fell to her knees. She felt the tears running down her face, knowing exactly how Damia felt.

Karim hugged her as she relived memories and cried in sobs.

Now, they understood Otto’s anger at the Cohens. That’s how Lincoln Cohen really was a monster.

Sera wiped away the tears and indicated the diary, asking them to continue reading. She couldn’t let herself go at that moment.

For the first time, my wolf got out of control. I can’t remember why I was angry. But I know it hurt a lot of people. Maybe it has something to do with the Cohen thing?

I’m scared of myself and my wolf. My power seems uncontrollable. I don’t know how many people I’ve hurt.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Today my nephew, Karim was born. He is mayor. The only good thing in the midst of the madness I am living.

The last date of writing was 6/24/2010, near the date of birth of Theo Ramesses.

“There is nothing here about her body. Did you discover something, Mr Kim?” – Karim asked.

Jae laughed out of her immersion and smiled.

“It is not necessary to be so cordial. Call me Jae Hyun.” – noting the roles, he denied. “No, there is nothing.”

Everyone was silent, trying to find a solution until they heard agitated footsteps approaching.

The door was opened suddenly by none other than Otto Ramesses, with an expression of anger.

“This girl is not allowed to be here.” he shouted.

Karim stood in front of Sera.

“I invited her. So she can, yes.” she said raising her voice and facing her father.

“Get out of the way, boy. I’ll finish what you couldn’t.” – Otto growled.

And at that moment, Sera was surprised to feel his power and anger. It was a feeling that drove her away by showing the anger of her alpha, but also welcomed her, because she was protecting her.

Otto was not intimidated by his son’s reaction. His eyes became even more yellow and he growled, showing his pointed teeth.

“Fight for your omega, that stupid child. Get out of the way before I kill you too.”

Karim growled and transformed. Sera held her breath when she saw her Lupina form once again. He had not lied, the one who protected her had always been Ramesses.

Otto gave his son no chance to attack and turned into a double-sized wolf, attacking his son, throwing him out the window.

Sera tried to act, but Jae Hyun held her.

“That’s something for Karim to sort out.”

The fight continued in the garden. Karim was faster, but Otto was stronger. The son managed to dodge the father’s attacks, but one bite was enough for a serious injury to be done to his stomach.

Karim fell and soon stood up in pain. His eyes stared at his father with hatred and determination. He growled and attacked directly into his chest, when the elder swerved, he quickly took a jump against his back, biting him in the rib.

Otto howled and then pulled his son with his teeth and pressed him against the ground. Sera looked at it with wide eyes at the sound of something breaking.

She ran to Karim, but could not reach him. Strong arms held her at once, squeezing her neck.

Sera suffocated as Karim stood up, still dizzy.

“Let her go.” – said tired.

Otto ignored looking into Sera’s eyes.

“Your filthy bloodline ends now, daughter of Lincoln Cohen.”

“Vo… you are not di-ferente de-le.” – she said trying to breathe.

That speech infuriated Otto who tightened his neck further. When Sera thought he was going to die, two white wolves jumped at his attacker.

“Release her now, Otto.” – Sera heard Verena’s voice coming from the lesser wolf.

The man smiled wickedly and in quick steps approached the edge of the hill and said.

“With pleasure. I will have the honor of doing what your weak son could not.”

And having said that, he released Sera, causing her to fall into the river.
