The Tales of a Pregnant Luna

Chapter Two

A knock on my door had woken me up. I sat up, before sleepily saying a faint come in.

“Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you Colleen. Happy birthday to you. ” Lillian came in singing.

I couldn’t help but smile. Although my mom isn’t well, she’s always by my side. Through good and bad. She’s my best friend.

“Awww, thank you.” I said to her, hugging her.

“You deserve it.” she smiled hugging me back. We sat there for a moment. “Okay. Come on. We’re going out. We have to get you ready for tonight.” she said confusing me.

“What’s happening tonight?” I questioned her.

“Your birthday party of course. And you can’t say no, because I’ve been working on it for days now.” she said. “And who knows, you’ll probably find your mate!!” she screeched. I smiled.

Finding my mate would be a dream come true. But I don’t want to hope too much. You never know what kind of mate you could get. But hopefully my mate will love and cherish me, forever and always.

“Okay, we can go. But wait I need to shower and tend to mom.” I said laughing. I don’t know why but I feel quite happy today.

I got out of bed as Lillian said she had work to do. I jumped into the shower under the hot running water. When I was done showering and dressing, I walked into mom’s room with a bowl of food, ready to feed her.

I sat by her side as I shook her awake lightly. Her eyes fluttered open as she smiled towards me. “Happy birthday, Angel.” she smiled. Those words had such an effect on me, that I myself couldn’t help but cry all the time. No matter how bad things got with her, she always told me she loved me, wished me happy birthday and gave me pet names.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

“Thank you mom.” I said gratefully. “It’s breakfast mom, you need to eat, please?” I said. I helped her to sit up and the I slowly blew on the food making it cool enough for her to eat.

After I finished with mom. I gave her, her medicine and told her I was going out. She simply said be careful and have a nice party. I smiled walking out of her room.

A knock echoed through the house as I collected my purse. I walked to the door, and Lillian stood outside anxiously and impatiently.

“Ready? okay let’s go.” she pulled my arm not giving me a chance to answer. We got to her car and I buckled my seat belt. She drove off into the streets towards my worst enemy. The mall.

It had been 2 hour since we got here and I had bought enough. My feet were aching and a headache was coming along. “Can we go now?” I questioned my shop-aholic friend.

“Yes, yes were done now quit your whining..” we got to the car and we drove off to my house. Lillian pulled into the driveway.

“You Need to sleep enough and then in three hours get ready, I’ll pick you up at six, how does that sound?” she asked me. I nodded on acceptance and I walked inside my house, shutting the door behind me.

I walked up to mom’s room, and shook her awake, asking I’d she needed anything. She simply asked for water and I had gave it to her. Once I was done there I headed to my bedroom. I dropped the shopping bags into the bedroom’s wooden floor and dragged my feet to my bed flopping into it.

Wow, I can’t believe I’m eighteen. I can find my mate, get a family and do things. Wow. I shifted a bit higher getting to my pillow and smiled.

Looking at the ceiling I began to wonder. What if my mate rejects me because they think bad of my mom? No, I won’t let that happen. I’d choose my mom over my mate anyway, because she’s been my life support. Even now, No matter how sick she is.

I continued to think and think and think. And my questions were getting to no end. Slowly my eyes began to shut and open, not being able to keep them open, I finally fell asleep.
