The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna)

Chapter 1287

Chapter 1287

They could hear the sounds of birds cawing.

A large group of seabirds was alarmed. They flapped their wings and danced wantonly in the air.

They were the largest seabirds they had ever seen. When they spread their wings, they appeared like

eagles.

The few of them were shocked and instantly tensed up. Jaydon looked up at the seabirds flying around

and was speechless. "Is this the kind of seabirds we are looking for?

"Fuck, why are they so big?

"How are we going to catch them?"

Bruce also looked up. He thought the birds would look like seagulls, but he did not realize that they

would be so big.

The three cages they brought probably could not hold more than a few of them.

"This is too scary. If this goes wrong, would they blind our eyes?" Jaydon was too focused on watching

the seabirds to pay attention to his feet.

Crack! There was a crisp sound of a dry branch snapping under his feet.

He let out a shout. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Be careful!"

Snap! Jaydon had stepped on a thick branch covered with leaves.

To his surprise, there was nothing underneath the dead branch.

Jaydon lost his balance and fell down the slope.

Fortunately, his reaction was fast enough. When he fell, he casually grabbed the withered vines at the

side.

That was how he halted his fall.

Jaydon let out a shout.

"Be careful!" When she saw this, Aria quickly went forward and pulled his wrist.

"Hurry up and climb up."

Jaydon's heart was pounding, and his feet were kicking wildly. He could not find footing at all.

There were more snapping sounds.

Because he moved too much, the withered vines in his hand could not withstand his weight.

He fell down again and almost fell into the deep pit. Fortunately, Aria had grabbed hold of his wrist and

prevented him from falling further.

"No, I can't hold onto him. Bruce, come and help."

When Bruce saw this, he couldn't care less about Miya and quickly went up to grab hold of Aria.

Then, he pulled both of them up in one smooth move.

"Oh my god! That was close!" Once Jaydon was out of danger, he collapsed on the ground.

He looked down at the deep pit and saw that it was filled with sharpened wooden poles. Each pole was

pointed upwards.

Jaydon felt hair-raising fear. He was so frightened that his heart raced.

If he fell into the pit, he would be skewered.

"This must be a trap dug by the natives. There must be other ambushes. We have to be careful." Bruce

looked around vigilantly, afraid that they would be ambushed by the natives.

"Let's be careful."

"Your arm's bleeding."

"There are too many mosquitoes here. Once your skin is exposed, it'll be very dangerous. We'll

bandage it ahead."

"Yes, yes. Okay."

"Let's go. Don't try anything funny."

"I'm not playing any tricks." Miya staggered a few steps, and an unfathomable disdain appeared in her

eyes.

The four of them began to walk deeper into the forest.

The deeper they went, the taller the trees were. The towering trees almost covered the sky. The vines

and weeds made it difficult for them to move.

Jaydon's arm was injured.

Fortunately, Bruce was in front. He used his machete to cut away the dead branches and weeds to

open up a path for the people behind him.

"Behave yourself," Aria said as she guarded Miya in the middle.

Jaydon was at the back.

Time passed bit by bit.

All their protective clothing was already drenched in sweat and sticking to their bodies. They were stuffy

and hot, and sweating profusely.

Jaydon's mouth was dry. He took a few sips of water. "Fuck! How long will this take? We've been

walking for an hour. Why aren't we out of the forest yet?

"Are we going to catch seabirds or explore the island?

"Is this woman lying to us?"
