The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 23 Getting used to being his wife

Tihana came out of the house with the maids behind her.

The maids were with her and Aiden’s luggages though she had tried to carry hers by herself but they insisted it was their duty.

She and Aiden were going for their supposed honeymoon today but she wasn’t one bit happy about it.

She entered the backseat and was surprised when she saw Aiden already in the car. No wonder she didn’t find him around in the house.

She changed her expression to a straight one and rested her head on the seat.

The maids finished putting the luggages into the car booth and the driver drove out of the compound.

No one said anything to each other till they got the airport and Tihana loved it that way.

“Good morning sir Aiden.” A man in suit walked to them.

“It is ready sir.” He said again in a smile.

“Lead the way.” Aiden tells him and they all followed the man in suit to where an airplane was.

They entered into it and she found a place to sit near the window while Aiden sat in another place.

Tihana looked around the plane and saw there were the only ones inside.

Well, what was she expecting? For the arrogant CEO to use a public plane? Nahhh. He was just too jerky for that.

Three female flight attendant came in with their luggages. They kept it in the plane cargo hold and infiltrated.

The plane took off almost immediately.

Tihana stole a glance at Aiden who sat at the other side of the plane. He was resting on the seat with a ear pod on, and his eyes were on his phone.

She sighed as she also brought out her phone and started playing games on it.

*

HOURS LATER*

Someone tapped Tihana repeatedly.

“Wake up sleepy head.” The person said and she slowly opened her eyes.

Her eyes met with that of an annoyed one. She sat up instantly and Aiden scoffed.

She must have slept off while she was sightseeing in the plane.

“You better get off now if you don’t wish for me to send you back to America.” He said grumpily and left.

She looked out of the window and saw the plane had landed.

She cleaned her face with her hand just in case for any drool on it.

She got out of the plane and the wind blew her hair to different direction, scattering it in the process.

She smiled a lil bit as she smoothened the hair with her hand.

She followed the ladies with their luggages to a parked car. The ladies dropped the luggages in the car and she entered the backseat.

The driver ignited the engine and drove away.

As usual, there was silence in the car as no one said a word.

After minutes of driving in boredom for the couple especially Tihana, they finally got to their destination.

They all alighted from the car except the driver who went to park properly in lot.

Tihana stared at the description in front of her and knew they were now in a hotel.

Aiden took the lead and she followed.

They went to the reception and she made to keep a little distance from him.

“We want to check into one of the rooms.” Aiden said as he tapped his fingers on the furniture in front of him.

The receptionist stared at the both of them for a while before typing into her computer.

“Are you Mr and Mrs Turner from America?” She asked as her eyes and fingers still remained on her computer.

Aiden scoffed at the lady in front of him. How does checking in has to do with being Mr and Mrs Turner?

“And how does that……”

“Yes, we are.” Tihana intruded.

“A room has been booked for you, room 132, the second floor. Here is the key.” The receptionist gave the key to Tihana.

Tihana could see Aiden staring daggers at her from the side of her eyes but she didn’t care. All she cared about right now was to sit and have a proper rest.

“By who?” Aiden asked as his mind drifted to grandfather.

“Mr Dennis Turner.” The receptionist answered.

He knew it. That old man couldn’t just mind his business but one thing he doesn’t understand was why he booked the room?

Aiden didn’t say a word again as he left and Tihana followed behind but not without muttering a thank you to the receptionist.

They got to the room number and Aiden stretched out his hand for the key. Tihana gave it to him and he opened the door.

They entered and Tihana paused at the door to see where Aiden would head to. When she saw him go into a place she guessed to be the bedroom, she stayed back in the sitting room.

She looked around the place in amazement. The sitting room was well furnished and looked well equipped.

She sat down on the couch with a sigh. She was so tired from the journey even if she didn’t do anything. The thoughts she was having in the plane alone was enough to stress her out.

Someone knocked and she went to check who. It was two hotel attendant with their luggages.

“We’re here to drop your bags ma’am.” One of them said.

She paved way for them and they went into the same direction Aiden took.

They came out minutes later and bowed before leaving.

Tihana took out her phone from her pocket and pulled off her jacket. She was wearing a blue jean trouser with a white shirt and a blue jean jacket.

She unlocked it and saw five missed calls from Diana.

She almost forgot about her best friend.

She had earlier put the phone in silent mode to avoid calls for a reason she also didn’t know.

She called her back but she didn’t pick. She tried out Diana’s number again and this time, Diana picked.

“Sorry, I left my phone in the office while I went to submit a file to my boss.” Diana said immediately.

“It’s fine. I just saw your missed calls now and I decided to call back.”

“Yeah, I’ve been calling you but you didn’t pick so I concluded you might be busy.” Tihana just hummed.

“Have you guys gotten to Canada yet?” Diana said again.

“Yeah. We’re currently in a hotel.”

“Wow, that was quick.”

“It was a private plane.”

“Life of a billionaire.” Diana mumbled but Tihana still heard her.

“So, how was it?”

“It was boring all through. I can’t believe I am still alive till now.”

“Did he say anything to you?”

“He didn’t and I preferred it that way.” Diana chuckled from the phone.

“Alright, I’ll call you when I’m done in the office.” Diana said in a little laugh.

“Yeah, bye.” Tihana replied lowly and hung up.

Aiden came out to the sitting room with a cloth different from the one he wore to the hotel.

He left without saying a word and Tihana found it as an opportunity to get a better rest as she found her way to the bedroom.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

She threw herself to the huge bed in front of her in a smile.

She was finally going to get the rest she wanted.

She positioned herself properly on the bed and before she knew it, she slept off.

Blossom stepped down from the car as she catwalked to the building in front of her.

She got to the secretary desk and made to walk past her like she always did but the secretary rushed to block her immediately.

“Ma’am, please where are you going to?”

“Where the heck is that question coming from?” Blossom said as she eyed the lady in front of her.

“I’m sorry ma’am, please pardon me but my boss said I shouldn’t let you in again.” The secretary apologized in a bow.

“Repeat what you just said.”

“I said my boss asked me not to ever let you in again.” The secretary said but before she could finish, a slap had already landed on her face.

She raised up her head in shock.

What did she do to warrant that slap from her?

“The day you talk to me in that manner again, I would make sure I tripple the slap for you.”

“But ma’am I was asked to by my boss.”

“I don’t care. Just don’t dare repeat that statement to me ever again.”

The secretary scoffed but it was within herself. She didn’t want to incur the wrath of Blossom again.

“Is your boss around?” Blossom asked with a glare.

“No, he isn’t.” The secretary replied still rubbing her cheek. The slap was stinging.

“Did he tell you to say that too?”

“No ma. He isn’t truly around. He and his wife went for their honeymoon.”

“Honey what?” Blossom asked with widened eyes but the secretary didn’t reply.

“When did they go?”

“I think it was this morning.”

Blossom hissed lightly. Aiden was really serious when

“When are they coming back?”

“That is what I don’t know.”

Blossom huffed and left the premises.

The secretary rubbed her cheeks as she went back to her desk. She has never seen anyone as arrogant as this lady.

___

“I have done everything you asked me to do so what else do you want from me?”

“Why would you book a room for me like I couldn’t do it?”

“It was all part of your honeymoon, remember, I sponsored it and I also have the right to add some spices to it.” Grandfather replied and one could easily detect the happiness in his voice.

“I didn’t ask for the honeymoon in the first place.”

“That is not my concern. I just want a grandchild and I hope you can make that happen before you come back to America.”

“Now, I know why you sponsored this worthless honeymoon.”

“It isn’t worthless and thank God you know the reason behind this honeymoon.”

“Just be quick with whatever you’re doing, you know I can’t wait for my grandkids.” Grandfather said again and cut the call.

kids? No longer a child?

Wow! Just wow!

“What were you saying before?” Aiden said to the hotel attendant in front of him.

“I went to your room earlier to serve your food but no one answered and we don’t enter a room without permission.”

“Really?” The hotel attendant nodded.

“Alright follow me.” Aiden took the elevator to their room and the hotel attendant followed.

They entered the room and the hotel attendant dropped the trolley at the edge of the room before he left.

Aiden went into the room and met Tihana sitting on the bed. She was pressing her phone and didn’t bother to look up when he entered.

“Where were you when the hotel attendant was knocking?”

“I was probably taking a bath.” Tihana replied still without looking at her and Aiden scoffed at this.

He moved closer to her on the bed and collected her phone.

“You don’t talk to me while sitting and pressing your phone, I am your boss, remember that always.” He glared at her.

Tihana stood up from the bed and put her hand behind her back. She would have replied him back but she didn’t want his trouble at that moment.

She made sure to keep a distance from him as she stood.

“Go and get my food from the sitting room.” Aiden sat on the bed and Tihana stared at him unbelievably.

She was his staff at the office and not his maid. Besides, he was coming from the sitting room so why couldn’t he get it himself?

She knew this stupid honeymoon was a bad idea in the first place.

“Why are you still standing there? I asked you to go and get me my food.”

Tihana, not saying anything because she doesn’t want his trouble, took her phone which Aiden had earlier threw on the bed and left to do as she was asked.

She came back to him with one of the covered plate she had seen in the trolley and the cartoon of juice with a glass cup. Everything was on the tray.

She dropped it on a small table in the room and brought it closer to Aiden on the bed.

“Is there anything else?” She asked with her head down.

“No.”

Tihana turned around to leave but paused at his words.

“Take anything you’d need right now because you aren’t sleeping on this bed. You’ll be sleeping on the couch.”

Tihana turned slightly to him but he looked like he hadn’t said anything just now.

She sighed and left. She also didn’t want to sleep on the same bed with him but she had at least expected him to sleep on the couch while she slept on the bed but who was she kidding?

She opened the second plate she had earlier dropped on the table before she went to serve Aiden and started eating.
