Chapter nine
Chapter nine
Philip stood agape and stared at the weirdoes pourin meg blood on the Loo's floor. When we humans gasped and glanced at our muses, Clinton dashed into him and possessed him. We just watched and wondered what his intentions were. The other ghosts didn't seem bothered.
Slowly, he made Philip walk out through the door. Moments later, he appeared back to where we were.
Curiously, I gawked at him and bit my lip, "How did that help?!"
Clinton smiled and gave his cheeky snicker, intentionally popping that cute face on, "I uhhhh... Kinda erased his memory of the past two minutes. Made him forget he was ever headed to the bathroom." "Sick," I heard Edna gasp.
I just rubbed my eyes and laughed. It was not a dream. I was part of the best cult ever.
Back to our evil plans of massacre...
Fred broke the mirth, "Edward, the knife."
God knows I was praying he wouldn't remember that. Angrily, I retrieved the blade from my pocket and stared fearfully at it. Bringing it up to my arm, a sudden emotion ran through me.. fear.
I glanced up at them, their expectant looks urging me to go on. Then... I swallowed, closed my eyes and.. sliced.
I smashed my eyes open and gasped at the sharp pain in my arm. It was the worst moment watching red blood drip down my arm to join the rest on the floor, "Darn it... Why me?"
The person I hated the most in the group chuckled and replied to me, "At least you didn't spend five pounds on cow's blood." Anthony.
I gave him a hard glare and snarled, "What do you say we switch places?"
Edna cautiously stopped our small exchange of words as she stepped between us, "Can you both quit it already? Edward, now you've cut your arm.... Scream!"
God knows this girl was doing something to me. She was the most innocent I had ever seen, with small round glasses and cute cheeks and that figure that could make you go bananas. Darn it! Marshall was glaring at me!
Immediately, I shouted, "Help! Someone help!"
Jessica sighed and spanked her forehead, "Go out through the door you scum!"
The nine vanished from their position, leaving me as I staggered out through the door with a slit arm to attract attention.
The janitor was the first to sight me. He rushed to me and held my arm, "What happened to you kid?"
I screamed in response to avoid answering that.
Immediately, he rushed me to the school's nurse and kept me on the bed. The sweet lady closed the door after the janitor had gone and gave me the reassuring smile nurses normally faked.
She turned to the wardrobe at the corner to retrieve the first aid kit. When she turned back to me, we had company. David stood by me and winked at her.
She just gawked, "Who are you? How, when did you get here?"
David stalked towards the scared nurse and held her. They then had this long eye contact when David made his eyes a shade of blue. A few seconds of muse hypnosis and she fell unconscious in his hands. As if it was all planned, the rest of my clan appeared right on the spot.
David placed the nurse on the bed after I had left it, then I held my wounded arm in silent pain. Marshall somehow understood me best. And we were a match because of that. He came to me and covered my wound with his palm.
I felt a little ting of warmth round the spot... Then the healing came. When he removed his hand, the wound was gone.
He then patted me happily, "You should really go for acting."
"I'm flattered," I smiled back, "how are we gonna be sure the fallen are aware of the blood?"
Clinton answered instead, "They have a dog."
I frowned and glanced at Marshall, "Is this a real dog or just one of your muse terms again?"
Marshall widened his eyes at me in surprise and faced me fully, "Well, we call him a dog. His name's Harold, the sensitive one. When he was alive, he was stalking a naked girl a whole kilometer away. He can smell the lunch you had yesterday in your breath. He.... Is a dog."All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
Chris seemed to be done with his oath of silence, "And now I have that little weird feeling that they should be here any second."
"How about now," Anthony inquired from the cheeky one.
Clinton stood, arms stretched thirty degrees sideways, eyes closed, trying to sense the tiniest spark of possible negative energy from the fallen. That is, if they were here. I prayed eagerly that they were. All the pain I went through today shouldn't be in vain.
Finally, he opened his eyes suddenly, "Library!"
God I was about to have my first encounter with thes guys. I wonder how they'll be."
Chris helped us teleport to the school's library. I think it was still break time, so no one was meant to be there.... Well except the librarian. Kella immediately possessed the man and wiped his memory the last five seconds he sighted us. Then she put him to sleep from the inside. How did they do that shit?!
Fred moved around and began throwing orders around, "Kella, Chris. Go to the school's restroom now. Just in case they go there. Now!"
They both vanished immediately in obedience.
When they had teleported there, the janitor was about to mop the floor clean when Chris put him to sleep as they normally did and dragged him aside. Then, there they were, waiting patiently for any trace from the fallen. Back here, Fred asked his fellow muses, "Do you feel that? The energy... It's so strong from up here. They are here!"
Marshall looked around casually and replied, "And that means they are feeling ours too. Do you think they'll run away?"
I panted fearfully. Cheee! The fallen were around me, "Let's find them."
Then finally. Right from behind the shelves, we heard a voice that said, "Ain't no need for that friend. We ain't cowards."
We turned around and found him, Harold, the sensitive one.
He had this smirk and a deadly scar across an eye. His own stripes were on the left side of his face. That seemed creepy to me.
He walked towards us nonchalantly, "My name's Harold."
Marshall who had been leaning on a table, pulled his hands from his pockets and folded them over his chest, "I am very sure none of us cares. Where's my sister?"
Harold smirked some more and turned around, "Amaya."
Just out of no where, a teenage girl appeared by his side.
Damn it, she was beautiful. Owning the blackest hair I had ever seen. She glanced at Harold, turned casually to us and gasped when she saw her brother, "Marshall! You're a muse too? I wonder what task you left incomplete." Marshall smiled at her in disgust and stated, "Getting your ass kicked."
His sister seemed to fake concern, "Oh don't tell me you still bear hatred for me."
He stood upright and moved closer to her, "No I don't. It's more of disgust."
Amaya showed white, pearly teeth and waved her hair away, "Nice to see you again dear. I'm Amaya Godwin, the brave one."
Marshall snickered seriously and glanced at her in surprise, "Brave? You! I'd call it pride if you ask me."
"Call it whatever you want sweet heart, "she spat, "you must be..... The fierce one if you ask me."
He seemed to admire her wit. God she sure was perfect... for deceit, "Fierce muse. The wisest you've been in ages."
She looked at the rest of us and grinned beautifully. She seemed polite to me. Again, she faced her brother, "As much as I hate to say this, you were really a fierce one before you died."
Marshall's frown returned, "Where's Kuma?"
Amaya opened her mouth in surprise and looked at Harold who just smirked some more. When she looked at Marshall, she admitted, "Owww.... And here I was thinking you came for a family reunion. You want Kuma! God I knew you could never look for me. Well let me break your hopes then.... He is halfway full. And once I go back to life, I'll ruin that person you made everyone believe you were. And again, did you really think I would tell you where the idol was?"

His sister smiled at his reaction and faced us again, "Who's your host?"
Out of little respect I developed for her, I raised my arm, "That would be me."
She glanced at me and said sweetly, "You are so sweet. Why not do yourselves a favor and tell your muse to get out of my way. I mean all of you."
Okay... Not sweet!
Clinton frowned in worry and tried to explain for one last time, "You don't get it. If you make a wish with Kuma, the muse world will be gone and our existence will cease."
A loud groan escaped from Amaya's mouth as she turned to him, "Why do you guys say that every single time?" Reluctantly, she sighed softly and continued, "Let's assume you are correct.... I don't care. Thing is I'm going back to life no matter who it affects."
Amaya turned her gaze to every side of the library and looked at her brother. Then she frowned and widened her eyes, "It's a set up."
Darn it! She figured.
And from her worried actions, she was about to vanish away.
Quickly, she rushed her words, "Harold! Get the blood! Let's leave!"
From the looks of it, she led the fallen. And their escape isn't going to be good at all. In fact, Marshall wouldn't let that happen, would he?
Somehow, immediately his sister disappeared, he did too. I think a muse thinks of where he wants to go to and teleports to the area. There was no way my muse could guess where Amaya intended to go. So how did they teleport at the same time? Was it to the same place?
Afterwards, Harold left too, probably to the bathroom with blood.
I turned to Fred and inquired, "Where'd Marshall go?"
Fred smiled wickedly and looked down, "That was smart of him." He glanced at my direction and smirked, "Your muse is a smart one. I think he kinda linked energies with her."
"Linked energies?"Edna frowned.
Fred blabbered with admiration in his voice, "You all still have a lot to learn about muses. Thing is... We can link out muse energy with that of another muse. With that, we can disrupt and interfere with the powers of the victim. When Amaya teleported while her energy was linked with her brother's, it made him join her to wherever she goes."
Clinton added proudly, "Even more, we can control our victim's powers. Well, it's both ways. Depends on who's sharper."
I was impressed with all these muse talks. Still, the fact they were dead dissolved all the good stuff, Let's go help Chris and Kella."
