The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 10 A resetting slap

CHAPTER TEN.

Author’s Pov.

“I’m not getting married.” Fanuel yelled at his mum.

“Fine! Sit and watch the company crumble.”

“There has to be another way Mum! Jayden why are you silent, say something!”

“I don’t know what to say.” Jay said and Fanuel gasped.

“For goodness sake, what does marital status have to do with a contract or a loan?”

“‘Cause it’s only eligible for married men, I think they kind of command respect. Your dad was asked to fill a marital status form when he was trying to register the company, and luckily for him, he was married.”

“Mum! This is no time for jokes, I’m serious. I need to visit dad at the hospital and ask for another way.”

“ARE YOU CRAZY!!” Jayden and his Mum both screamed.

“I’m not okay, I’m not ready for marriage. It’s not even on my list of things to achieve in the next ten years.” His mum gasped.

“Are you impotent Nuel?” His mum asked and he shrieked in horror.

“What the fúçk Mum?!!”

“Stop cursing at mum!!” Jayden yelled.

“Didn’t you just hear what she asked me?”

“I was about to ask you the same.”

“Really? Fine, I’m done here.”

“You haven’t answered my question Fanuel!!”

“Mum!! I’m not okay? It’s barbaric to be asking your son such”

“Then why don’t you want to get married? Don’t you want to have children?”

“Eww!! Mum not now okay, the thought alone freaks me out”

“Gosh! I wonder who gave birth to you.”

“You did mum and you can’t deny me right now.”

“I gave birth to a potent guy who will get married soon and save my husband’s company and his future company with grandchildren. If you think you’ve got time, then you’re playing with fire. The Investors have no patience. They are like lions waiting for their prey to attack, they seem to admire your success and goals but deep down they pray for your downfall so that their own legacy may stand while yours perish. So do something before something happens to you or the company.”

Fanuel sighs deeply in frustration and runs his hands over his hairs.

“What do I do?”

“Get a bride.” He glared at Jayden.

“I will help you with one” His mum said and he gritted his teeth.

“I can do that myself Mum, I’m not a baby.”

“You’re my baby, now get out and go fix the mess.”Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

He stood up at once and walked briskly towards the door carelessly and collided with a girl carrying a tray of hot coffee. It was a blast as hot coffee splashed on his white shirt and caused a burn on his flawless skin.

He screamed dramatically with shock as he didn’t expect to bump at anyone on the door.

“Oh my God!! I’m so sorry, I’m so…. sorry, It wasn’t intentional.” Christine shakily apologized but a loud slap was sent across her face, sending sparks of pain cursing through her face.

“Damn you!! Ah! Are you blind or something? What the heck are you even doing here? I told them to lock you up!!” He yelled furiously.

“I asked them to free her today, she’s a human being not a stick. You won’t want her to stay there without food or water, a bath and a change of clothes.”

Jayden said to his astonished brother.

“You ask like I care? Is she here to enjoy any of those bullshits you just mentioned? She burnt my skin with a hot coffee, are you happy now!!”

“I’m such an elated brother.”

“Mum?”

“I think you’re being too hot tempered on a beautiful girl, we know her dad put you through all this stress, but you’re playing Vampire on this innocent human.” His mum said and he bit his lips in anger.

He was raged.

No one seems to be taking his side, his skin hurts like hell and all they are concerned about is this thwart whose father brought a heavy yoke upon his neck.

He pushed her with force and went out, he needed to see Edward.

Edward must have something to say about this marriage madness of things.

I was shivering and freezing like hell in this room I was locked in. It was really big and beautiful but I’m too hurt to admire the exquisite works of art in the room.

I just want to cry, I’m tired of holding back.

Is this how my life will be here? I wasn’t expecting a fantasy though, but my day here is already ringing hell?

I wish I wasn’t born by mother, maybe my real dad would have been alive or my real mum couldn’t have gotten married to a monster to keep me in this mess.

I would have gotten a job, rented an apartment with Easton….. ah Easton!!

I wonder how he is, or he’s feeling right now. He was one of the reasons my life was at ease. He cared for me Like his life depended on it, he made me smile and treated me like his kids sister.

He made me wish for sickness, Lol…. I literally don’t do anything at all and all my cravings will be provided. I just wonder how he is.

I would have been independent and live my life, fall in love and get married to the man of my dreams.

But here I am stuck in the web of someone’s crime. Someone who did a whole lot of damage in my life.

The Air conditioner in the room was maddening. I’m allergic to cold or too much air as it stirs panic attacks and triggers my heart.

It’s not asthma, and I seriously don’t know what it is.

Hospital isn’t my favourite place so I don’t have plans of going there anytime soon.

The door knob twisted and was pushed open. A gorgeous Jayden peeped inside and gave me the most heartwarming smile ever.

Who is this angel? I stupidly smiled back.

“Hey! Are you okay?” He asked and I nodded.

“Do you need anything?”

I silently nodded my head negatively.

“ummm…. you don’t have to sit and wrap yourself on the floor like that, you can get on the couch or even lie on the bed until further notice okay?”

“Okay, t.. t.. thanks a lot” My clattering teeth betrayed me as I replied to him.

“Shit!!” He cursed and came over to feel my temperature, he cursed the more and went over to switch off the air conditioners and other cooling devices.

“Do you want to freeze to death? Why will you turn everything on to the very last volume?”

“I didn’t do that”.

“Damn…Fanuel!! Hey come over to the fireplace and get yourself warm, I will get you something to change up” He said and held my folded hands to a beautiful place. It burned fire with cackle sounds and the pavement over it was decorated with beautiful gold flowers with glass frames from the top to every edge of the fireplace.

It was more like a fire in prison.

I felt so warm as he left to get what he said while I slept off.

I woke up feeling extremely famished, I needed to eat something so bad that I stood up with all hope that the door shouldn’t be locked.

I heaved a sigh of relief as I found it open. I stepped out and the first person I came in contact with was a queen.

She was arrayed gorgeously with the finest apparel. She looked like those Indian queen mother’s I watched on zee world or starlife.

She came closer to me and I immediately bowed my head down, greeting her.

“Are you the manager’s daughter?” She smiled and asked while I nodded my head in shame waiting for a slap or a kick.

“Get me a coffee, bring it to the first floor living room. Two cups please.” She said and left while I stood there in awe.

Ooops! I wasn’t expecting that. How I managed to trace the kitchen and the dinning remains a terrible story as I kept bumping into rooms and entering living rooms.

Now here I am finally, going to give the queen her coffee after so much effort, only to be spilled by this arrogant boss.

A resetting slap crashed my face and I wince in pain, gosh!! I think I need to start getting used to this slap.

I bowed and apologized to the queen whom I just discovered to be Mrs Hudson and Jayden seated next to her just gave a wry smile.

I was packing up the tray and broken cups on the floor to get another coffee when Mrs Hudson said something.

“Maybe Fanuel should just marry this one, what do you think Jay?”

Well the tray slipped back from my hands as I turned to look at her in shock.
