The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 468

The burning cigarette butt fell right onto Brad's foot like a sizzling coal. Feeling the stinging pain, he danced on his feet and kicked off his sandals. The pain snapped him back to reality, and he was shaken beyond words.

Brad planned to have Matthew clash with the Wood family and seize the opportunity to dig up their dirty secrets. Then, he would team up with other forces to kick the Wood family out of the military.

But who would have guessed Matthew would take out the Wood family's heir right from the start? Moreover, Isaac was Horace's grandson. How did Matthew find the nerve to go this far?

Dominic heard some screams from the phone, but then everything went quiet. He became even more anxious.

"Isaac's body is here with us, Mr. Miles. We have nothing to do with it. Matthew was the one who killed him."

Brad took a deep breath. As Skylar retrieved his sandals, he put them back on.

Hearing Dominic trying to shift the blame, Brad snapped, "What's wrong? Are you scared of the Wood family getting back at you?"

Realizing that he'd been called out, Dominic blabbered, "The Wood family is too formidable. I just want to protect the Larkin family."

Brad coldly grunted. "Who knows about this? Please tell me it hasn't gotten out."

Dominic swore, "I haven't told anyone, not even my dad. If words get out, I'm ready to be court-martialed." Brad's gaze turned intense. "This is an order. Isaac's death is classified information. If news of it leaks, you all will be court-maritaled. Besides that, keep an eye on Matthew and someone to deliver the body to me."

After ending the call, Brad tossed the phone back to Skylar and stared blankly at the curb.

After a while, Brad cursed out loud. "Fuck! He looked so soft like a fresh graduate. Can you believe he had the nerve to kill Isaac? He's much crazier than me. No doubt about it, he's the successor of Juprus Ring.

Next to Brad, Skylar couldn't help but twitch his mouth. Brad didn't often use foul language unless he was pissed off or excited. But when he did, he would swear up a storm.

No one would believe it without witnessing it firsthand. Brad, the bigwig in the military, actually cursed this much.

Skylar waited for Brad to calm down before asking, "After Isaac's body gets here, what do we do next?" Brad coldly replied, "Freeze it, and keep the news of Isaac's death under wraps too."

Skylar figured he couldn't keep Isaac's death a secret for long. When the news got out, it would be earth- shattering and stir up a massive upheaval.

But after seeing Brad knitting his brows together, Skylar knew Brad had already realized it without needing him to talk about it.

...

Renae trailed behind Matthew on the

sixth floor of Gembrooke Building After checking out the laboratory, she came outside and asked, "Why did you bring me here?"

Matthew replied with a smile, "The working environment here is great, and we research health issues. You're a doctor, so you know more about the human body-"

However, Renae cut Matthew off by saying, "I'm a traditional medicine practitioner, and they're researchers. It's like an apple and an orange. What are you thinking?"

Matthew furrowed his brows. His medical philosophy aligned with Harmona Sect in the traditional medicine community.

He was all about bringing traditional

and modern practices together and

enhancing the application of traditional medicine, but clearly, Renae didn't see it that way.

Matthew scratched his head. "If you're not keen on being here, then I don't know what to do with you." Renae gazed at Matthew. "You're a traditional medicine practitioner too, so I'll just tag along with whatever you're doing."noveldrama

Matthew chuckled. "I need to find the successor of Thermodra Sect. It can be dangerous. Are you sure you want to come with me?"
