Chapter 1854
Seeing the murderous glare in Saul's eyes, Alba did a double take and soon laughed in disbelief. "What's that supposed to mean? Are you going to kill me?!"
"I never said that!"
Saul narrowed his eyes, his voice quiet but threatening. "But I will eliminate traitors for the sake of our family!"

Alba stumbled backward until his back touched the window, and he smiled in despair.
"Dad..."
On the bed, Megan's tears were streaming down her dry cheeks, and she continued to convulse in anguish as the brocade mites continued to devour her from the inside.
"Dr. Georg!"
Seeing his daughter's torment and that his own brother was forbidding him to contact Frank, Alba pinned his last hopes on Dr. Georg.
He dropped to his knees with a thud, kowtowing three times to Dr. Georg as he cried, "Whatever you do, just save my daughter... You have to do it..." "Mr. Quill..."
While Dr. Georg was shocked by Alba's reaction, Saul turned away, refusing to look.
It did not matter what happened he refused to let Alba contact Frank.
He was fine with letting Dr. Georg do his job, however-in fact, he would allow anyone else, other than Frank, free rein.
"I-I'd like to help too..."
Dr. Georg was stammering, flustered, though he soon smacked his head.
"Wait... Yeah!!!"
Alba's eyes widened at Dr. Georg's words, as he remembered Frank saying in the hallway that he had once beaten Dr. Georg's mentor.
If he was not lying, then Alba could contact Frank through Dr. Georg's mentor and ask Frank to return and treat his daughter!
With that in mind, he eagerly took Dr. Georg's hands and urged, "Yes, yes, quick! Contact your mentor... Do that, and you can have anything you want! I'd agree to anything tosave my daughter!"
"Oh... Megan..."
Meanwhile, Isla was sobbing as she picked up a pair of tweezers to pull off some of the brocade mites latching to Megan's face. However, the mites' legs were basically stuck to Megan's skin-when Isla pulled one out, it tore off Megan's skin with it.
Horrified, Isla dropped the tweezers, burying her face in her palms as she bawled.
Seeing that, Dr. Georg certainly understood that he had messed up terribly.
"Alright, I'll contact my mentor right now!"
With that, he whipped out his phone and called Professor Roberts.
Meanwhile, Frank was sitting on a buggy with a couple of soldiers.
He leisurely admired the scenery around, while explaining to Winter and Jean the taxonomy of the parasite infecting Megan.
"It's called a brocade mite—it's a
malicious parasite. It isn't
particularly poisonous, but itse
are well concealed, and it's a real bother when it hatches..."
The soldiers were actually engrossed listening to Frank's dissection, with one of them giving him a look before sighing
ne
exasperatedly. "I didn't take you to be a real miracle worker. Even
someone like me can now understand that Ms. Quill wasn't suffering from an allergy."
