The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 1837

Frank had finally and earnestly accepted Governor Quill as his maternal grandfather and could not help chuckling as he remembered how Governor Quill referred to his father as 'little shit'.

He shook his head, not expecting that his father was the one who married into the Quill family instead.

In fact, the Lord of the Southern Woods had only reached where he currently was because of Frank's mother, who had most probably asked Governor Quill for a few favors!

It was certainly shocking to think that such an illustrious character was just another sugar baby...

"Eh?"

Frank frowned as he suddenly saw Helen Lane's face in his mind and muttered to himself, "Another? Wait, did I just lump myself with him?"

Still, it made sense now that he thought about it, since everyone else considered Frank to be living off Helen.

"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, huh?" he muttered under his breath but soon dispelled the thoughts.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Governor Quill's text then arrived, giving him the address of Quill Manor, as well as directions to a port and his yacht's hull number.

If he wanted to, Frank could just go to said port to ask where he was sailing to.

But for now, Frank put away his phone and took a cab to the coastal mansion district of Bralog.

He was left dumbstruck when he arrived, since Quill Manor occupied a good portion of the mansion district, and it was even more expansive than Turnbull Estate in Morhen.

Still, he was not shocked for that long.

He soon walked up to the grand red gates of the manor and approached one of the sentries.

Naturally, the sentries were each

fully armed soldiers and not your usual security guards. Even if Governor Quill was an important man in the military, a man of his stature would have made plenty of enemies, domestic and foreign, so this was a privilege he had

"Hello," Frank said as he approached one of the sentires. "I'm Frank Lawrence-I'm Ms. Quill's doctor."

"Frank Lawrence...?"

The four soldiers traded glances at Frank's words, but all of them shook their heads.

"Sorry," one of them said. "We

weren't informed of your arrival, and this is no place for anyone to nose around as they like. Please leave if you don't have any further business here."

While the soldiers were quite polite, Frank had actually expected this outcome too.

Smiling, he pressed, "May I ask you

to try again? Governor Quill is my maternal grandfather, and I'm sure my name might ring a few bells..."

One of the soldiers frowned before murmuring, "Frank Lawrence? Actually, your name does sound familiar..."

"Now that you've said it, I think I remember too..." Another sentry nodded, his eyes soon widening in shock.

However, just as Frank was pleased that they remembered him, they suddenly drew their guns and aimed right at him! "What...?"

Frank was caught off guard by their sudden overreaction, even as the other soldiers tensed up.

"Freeze! You demolished the exhibition hall that Droitner Inc. sponsored just a few days ago, didn't you?!"

"Yeah... And you're a martial artist!"

"Wait..." Frank frowned. "Weren't any of you informed? Governor Quill really is my maternal grandfather, and—"
