The CEO’S Secret Mistress

The dining incident

Mavis was beyond surprised to see that Blaine and Pedro have a mother. He never mentioned any mother to her as far she could remember so she found this woman who was dressed in expensive jewelries very odd, yet Blaine and Pedro seemed quite fond of the woman in seconds. Mavis stared at Blaine in astonishment as she watched Blaine and Pedro giggling as if they weren’t just about to hurl curses at each other seconds ago.

“Well, honestly Miguel I really wouldn’t have been here had it not been your crazy father who has found a way to involve me in his very foolish plan to hide his identity.” She said before she sipped some tea from her cup and made a very displeased expression. “I think you guys should just leave tea making to those English folks – really the tea here is shit” she muttered and for some reason Mavis found it funny that like her, this woman also hated the tea.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

“Who are these people?” she asked Blaine when she saw Mavis trying to hold back laughter after the face she made at the tea. She asked the question in Spanish so Mavis would not know what she asked.

“That is Blaine’s mistress; she is pregnant with his child.” Pedro said surprising Blaine who didn’t expect that Pedro would not call Mavis a whore like everyone else.

“Wow…I…I thought you couldn’t …” the woman muttered to herself before she just smiled at Blaine and then gave him a serious look almost immediately as she asked. “Why is she here? Is your father aware of this – and if he is, why the fuck would he let all these unskilled people get involved?” she asked angrily.

“AH…ROSA! Not even a minute in and you’re already badmouthing me. What do I do with you?”

” I wasn’t badmouthing you, I just don’t understand why you’re saying you need to keep your identity hidden, you’ve basically told the whole world by letting these people get involved!” she said without looking at the face of the one who had just entered the dining room.

“Ah…I see.” Blaine’s father said as he walked to his seat and sat down without caring about the way the woman was looking at him.

“What’s for breakfast anyway…oh that’s not bad, I’ll have some.” He said and then began eating his food in silence with Blaine and Pedro’s mother regularly scoffing at him.

“She must be so surprised that he is doing this instead of just addressing the meeting he held.” Lisa whispered to Mavis but she shook her head at her sister’s suspicion. “I’m pretty sure surprise is not what she feels but anger. He must be known for this, no one else in the room seems so upset about it except her. The rest of us are used to it but she probably has been away from him for so long that now she can’t even stand seeing him do what he normally does.”

“Are you some psychology student?” Lisa teased making Mavis smile. This was one of the reasons that she wanted Lisa to be with her, Lisa always had a way to make her feel less tensed or angry in situations like this.

“That was a nice meal.” Their father said as he finished his own meal of Migas de Arepa. Every other person had a different meal and most of them were even eating. He looked at Mavis and asked, “Aren’t you supposed to be eating? I thought you really care about your pregnancy, seems to me like you’re trying to get rid of it already with your negligence.

” I just want to be able to get proper antenatal services like every other woman, why am I being accused of trying to harm my pregnancy when in truth I have no idea whether or not this food will harm my child.” Mavis responded before she glared at Blaine.

“It’s completely harmless, don’t be scared.” Rosa said with a reassuring smile before she turned to Blaine’s father and said,” Julio, why haven’t you found a nurse for her?”

“We did but she kept rejecting them because she wanted to go to a hospital instead of getting professional help here.” He responded before he drank a glass of water and wiped his mouth clean. “It’s quite unfortunate for those women. In the end I had to kill them all since they knew your identity, I have no intention of killing anyone else.” He said leaving Mavis speechless. If she had known that he would kill them afterward then she would not have rejected any of them! How could he even do something like that?

“You didn’t have to cause such a tantrum, just stay indoors and stop trying to defy the order of the plan.” Pedro said with a smirk, he knew that his father most definitely killed those women and he knew Mavis was currently regretting her decisions.

“Let’s go over the new revised plan to keep my identity hidden, shall we?” Julio said despite knowing that Mavis was still thrown about him killing the nursed because of her.

Before he could even say another word, Mavis fainted. Knowing that her displeasure with these women had caused the death of someone’s mother was too much for her to handle.
