Stay away from her
The whispers in the air didn’t go unheard by her.
She took in everything.
The way Jayden and Emilia mingled with the crowd, the way he had draped his coat over her to provide warmth.
The world saw them as the perfect couple, and their actions only confirmed their closeness.
She saw it all.
The only difference this time was that she felt nothing. Unlike the first time, when the sight had pierced her heart, this time she felt a numbing detachment.
She downed the glass of wine and turned away from the scene below. Walking towards the open lawn, she found a secluded corner, away from the buzz of the crowd.
Her heart, once warm and full of hope because of that man, had now grown cold.
A gust of wind and rain blew over, causing Nina to shiver. However, the external cold couldn’t compare to the deep chill that had taken root in her heart.
“Is it okay to torture yourself like this?” a gentle voice questioned as a warm coat was draped over her shoulders.
Feeling the warmth on her shoulder, Nina turned her head to see Tyler, looking at her with his eyes filled with concern.
“I’m fine,” Nina responded in a hoarse voice.
After knowing her for a long time, Tyler could see through her facade. It was clear just how deeply the situation had affected her.
Being part of the same society, he had heard the ongoing rumors and conversations that transpired during the event.
He could see the intense love and admiration she had for that man, only for it to be destroyed in the end.
And Tyler couldn’t bear to see her suffering. She didn’t deserve the pain she was enduring.
If only she allowed him, he would be the source of her happiness, caring for her in a way that he believed she should be.
As Tyler’s heart yearned to comfort Nina, he raised his hand subconsciously, intending to offer her a comforting hug.
However, before his hand could reach her, a sudden gust of wind came from behind, flinging him away.
Shocked, both Nina and Tyler turned to see the intruder, and their expressions changed.
Standing before them was none other than Jayden.
“Are you tired of living?” Jayden’s chest heaved in rage as he shot a murderous gaze at Tyler.
Earlier, he was surprised to learn that Nina was also present at the event.
After being separated for a week, he missed her terribly. He wished nothing more than to hold her in his arms and breathe in her intoxicating scent.
Seeking her out, he made his way to the open lawn, only to witness the scene in front of him.
How dare this bastard touch his woman?!
Tyler snorted at Jayden’s protective stance and felt that he was a bit of a hypocrite.
After enjoying with his ex, it was only now that he remembered he had a wife?Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
Jayden turned his attention towards Nina and his face darkened when he noticed the coat on her shoulders.
“Why are you wearing his clothes?” He immediately confronted her.
Nina’s face turned cold, and she replied sarcastically, “What am I supposed to do? My husband is more worried about his ex than his wife. Of course, I have to find someone else to keep myself warm too.”
Jayden’s jaw tensed, infuriated by her words. It could be seen how hard he was trying to suppress his anger. He pushed her against the pillar and reached out to tug at her coat. His actions were rough and impatient as he unbuttoned the coat, one button at a time.
Seeing his actions, Tyler was enraged. “Mr. Luxton, I know you have your pride, but can you at least think about Nina? She’s shivering from the cold.”
However, Jayden ignored his words.
No man could tolerate his woman wearing another man’s clothes, and Jayden was no exception.
Nina stood there, not resisting his actions. Her gaze remained cold as she watched the unfolding scene.
Taking the coat off her body, Jayden threw it in a nearby trash rather than returning it to Tyler.
His possessiveness and jealousy were evident, as he did not even want her scent to linger around another man. Then, he proceeded to remove his own coat and draped it over Nina.
Thankfully, he had only given his outer jacket to Emilia.
After wrapping it around her, he was left with a thin white shirt covering his body. The cold breeze made him shiver, but he seemed unfazed by it.
He pulled Nina by her waist and landed his dark eyes on Tyler.
“Stay away from my wife.” In a low and threatening voice, he warned. If he wasn’t her friend, it might not have been a simple warning.
Tyler wanted to respond but Nina shook her head, telling him not to speak as it would only exacerbate Jayden’s anger.
Jayden noticed Nina’s subtle gestures and felt his temper flaring out of control. Without a word, he held her hand and led her out of the event venue.
Once they were in the privacy of their bedroom, Nina felt the extent of his wrath.
The man lifted her onto his shoulders and threw her on the soft bed.
Nina felt pain and furrowed her delicate brows. She pummeled him with her fists, wanting to escape. But her vision went dark as the man’s broad figure pinned her down. He used a hand to prop himself up on the bed, while another hand tore her dress.
Jayden knew he was being very sinister and terrifying now, but he could not control the rage in his heart.
Even though he knew there was nothing romantic between her and Tyler, the thought of someone else touching what belonged to him drove him to the point of madness.
“From now on, you are not allowed to see him.” His muscular chest heaved as he issued a stern warning.
Nina let out a scoff at his words. “So, you’re allowed to spend nights with your ex-girlfriend, but I can’t even meet my friend. Why the double standards, Jayden?”
“Shut up!” His cold voice cut her off and in the next moment, he lowered his head and captured Nina’s lips fiercely.
His hand glided down as he unbuckled his belt. In a swift movement, he put his member inside her core.
He bit and nibbled on her lips before rolling his tongue inside her corners. Nina wanted to resist but found herself overwhelmed by his kisses once again.
Suddenly, Jayden’s cell phone rang, interrupting their intense moment.
He halted his actions to check the caller. It was Emilia, who was likely calling him to inquire about his sudden departure from the event.
Without answering the call, he was about to toss his phone aside when Nina grabbed his hand. She saw the caller ID on the screen and smirked. “Why aren’t you picking up the call? Are you afraid that your sweetheart would hear what we are doing?”
Jayden narrowed his eyes and held her gaze, as his hand reached out to press the answer button.
“Hel-”
Without a warning, he thrust into Nina, making her moan due to the sudden pleasure.
“Ah…”
His long shaft moved in and out of her hole as he rammed into her.
The call was still connected, and Emilia could hear Nina’s moans and Jayden’s occasional groans.
As a grown-up, she immediately realized what they were doing. Feeling embarrassed, she immediately hung up the call.
The next few days, Jayden punished Nina until she could no longer get out of bed.
The cold weather only worsened her mood as he clung to her, refusing to let her leave even for a moment. And as the so-called obedient wife, Nina certainly acquiesced to his demands.
With her head resting on Jayden’s lap, Nina lay on the couch as they watched TV together.
Jayden wasn’t interested in the drama they were watching, but he still accompanied her.
As they sat in harmony, Jayden suddenly broke the silence. “It’s your birthday next week.”
Nina was surprised that he actually remembered it. “So?”
“Let’s celebrate it together, just the two of us.”
Without even looking at him, Nina swiftly declined. “No need.”
Jayden pinched her cheek dotingly and chuckled. “That’s it? Won’t you continue to act as an obedient wife anymore?”
The past few days, he noticed her obedient behavior as she quietly gave in to his demands. She hadn’t resisted when he had taken her by force, nor had she thrown her usual tantrums at him.
While it did irk him, it was fine as long as he had her by his side. Even if it meant a quieter and less challenging version of her.
Nina finally sat up and met his gaze. “I have already made plans with my friends, so no.”
She and Nora, along with her other friends had decided to celebrate her birthday in Country C. And given the recent complexities in their relationship, she had no desire to spend her special day with him.
However, Jayden wasn’t someone who would take no for an answer.
He pulled Nina into his embrace and leaned back on the couch’s armrest. “I’ve already informed them to cancel the plans.”
Nina was furious.
She was about to fight with him, but Jayden held her in place.
“Please, baby,” he implored, tightening his arms around her. “I’m sorry if I’ve hurt you directly or indirectly. But trust me, it was never my intention.”
