Swept Into a Fairytale Marriage 41

Chapter 41 Are You Out of Your Mind

“Very well. I’m feeling quite energetic.” The old man smiled with a benevolent expression. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.

He asked expectantly, “You two must share it with me immediately if there’s any good news! I’ve been looking forward for Fay to have a baby soon.”

Farrah’s face flushed with embarrassment at those words as she leaned against Adrian. A wave of awkwardness washed over her.

“Don’t worry, Grandpa.” Adrian’s lips curled slightly into a smile. “We’ll make sure you’re the first to know. about it.”

“Great.” The old man didn’t want to keep them too long. He exchanged goodnights with them and ended the call after urging them about having a baby

Farrah sat up and stretched her arms before Adrian grabbed her by the arm just as she turned to get off

the bed.

She jumped slightly and turned around. “What is it?”

He put his phone aside and pulled her back under the cover. “Since Grandpa’s so keen on a baby, shouldn’t we fulfill our duties as husband and wife?”

He turned over and wrapped his arms around her after saying that.

“Adrian, are you out of your mind? Farrah crossed her arms before her chest and couldn’t believe he was

serious.

The truth was, she had unwittingly enticed him by leaning against his chest earlier.

Moreover, her inquiries about Enduring Moments had haunted him the entire afternoon. He had been thinking of the girl who had captured his heart but was now lost to him.

Besides, there was indeed a certain resemblance between Farrah and Sierra…

Therefore, Adrian found his feelings shifted in certain moments…

How could she possibly resist if he truly wanted it?

Farrah didn’t resist. Instead, she extended her arms and wrapped them around his waist. She took the initiative to unbutton his shirt and suddenly became bold.

Adrian’s eyes deepened with intensity. Her unique fragrance filled the air as he gently caressed her smooth skin under the warm glow of the room. She had leaned forward to kiss him before his lips could

meet hers.

Farrah leaned in closer toward him with her hand pressing against his shoulder. She whispered in his ears with a hint of triumph after their passionate encounter “Adrian, I’m the one who claimed you tonight, not the other way around.”

Adrian’s gaze darkened under the dim glow of the nightlight. He bit her lips with a mix of dominance and punishment.

It was undeniable that the moment of passion had seemed to awaken something within Adrian and broke down his long–held restraint. After all, he had always kept his distance from women and prided himself on his self–control.

Adrian didn’t wake her when he woke up the next morning even though she had to go to work too.

Farrah groggily opened her eyes as the alarm rang and fumbled for her phone to turn the alarm off.

It was only then that she noticed he was already up. He was standing by the bed and getting dressed. His tall figure and striking presence were impossible to go unnoticed.

He carried a cold expression on his handsome face and exuded an air of aloofness.

Adrian didn’t spare her a glance even though he knew she was awake.

His indifference this morning was completely different from the warmth and passion of last night. It was as if everything that had happened was just an illusion

Adrian suddenly came to his senses. The woman in his bed was not the one he truly loved. She was not Sierra

He grabbed his custom–made watch from the nightstand before turning around and left.

Farrah felt a sense of emptiness inside as the door closing sound echoed in the room. She lay in bed alone for a long time. Her mind went blank. It was as if everything from last night was nothing but a dream.

It wasn’t until her alarm went off again that she regained her senses and pulled herself out of bed to prepare for work.

Why should she feel sad?

Farrah smiled faintly and comforted herself that they were simply partners getting through life together. There was never any love involved between them.

What had happened last night was simply a human instinct. It had nothing to do with love.

Kenneth opened the Lamborghini’s door for Adrian when he saw him walking downstairs. “Good morning, Mr. Locke ”

“Good morning” He bent down and got into the car.

He felt an inexplicable sense of heaviness on the road. The memories of the previous night lingered in his head.

Adrian found himself distracted even at the office. The faces of Sierra and Farrah kept appearing and overlapping in his mind.

The feeling he had when having sex with Farrah was something he had never experienced before. It had filled him with a sense of pleasure and joy

He no longer disliked her as much as before even though it wasn’t considered affection yet.

He was frustrated with himself for allowing himself to sleep with a woman he didn’t love.
