Chapter 29 Garmaine Dumbstruck
Based on Germaine’s estimation, the bill would come up to about 50 thousand dollars. All the items Farrah had picked were designer Items. Just as she thought Farrah couldn’t foot the bill, she saw the latter pull out a gold card. “Charge this card.”
The sales clerk swiped it, and Farrah keyed in the pin. Then, the sales clerk asked, “Is this Mr. Adrian Locke’s card?”
“Yes.”
Germaine was gobsmacked when she heard that. The card belonged to Adrian? She was still rooted to the spot in disbelief after Farrah had paid and left.
How could this be? Why did Farrah have Adrian’s card? It was a limitless gold card, too.
She thought about how Farrah had called Adrian’s name in public on the day of his appointment. She also thought about what Adrian had told her in the elevator on the day she’d warned Farrah–he’d stood up for Farrah and told her to focus on her work.
Germaine also thought about how Adrian had taken Farrah with him when they’d visited Corey at the hospital. He’d even allowed Farrah to sit in the front passenger seat of his car.
Germaine put two and two together–she was sure something was going on between Adrian and Farrah. Her blood froze when she arrived at that conclusion. Did this mean Farrah was Adrian’s mistress?
