Chapter 4 Found A Wife
Jocelyn's worry was making her a nervous wreck. Tammy was the child she was most worried about because she was trusting and naive and would follow anyone who offered her snacks home.
"Don't worry, mommy. The good news is, Tammy, is wearing a tracker that allows me to monitor her location in real-time." Jeffrey acted as though he had a brilliant idea.
"Great! What are you waiting for?"
Jocelyn had no choice but to pin all her hopes on Jeffrey.
When Jeffrey launched the program on his laptop, he was able to pinpoint exactly where Tammy was. "I have located Tammy, Mom! It looks like they're making their way to Tundra."
"Katie, let's go!"
Katie began driving down the road Tammy had taken.
Tammy quickly arrived at Fallcastle, which was located on Tundra, a mountain.
Tammy saw a villa the size of a castle after Calvin carried her out of the car. She was taken aback and exclaimed, "Do you live in a castle, Mr. Austin? Are there any princesses or princes?"
"There's a prince here, but no princess."
"Wow! It's fantastic to live in a large castle. I've always wanted to live in a one!"
Tammy, with a gleeful clap of her hands, exclaimed.
The servants were taken aback when Calvin walked into the house with Tammy.
They were thinking to themselves, "Who's that little girl? Could she be Mr. Austin's love child?"
Tammy was treated like a princess at Calvin's place, as he had the cook prepare a lot of delicious food for her.
Tammy imagined herself in heaven as she gazed at the table piled high with her favorite foods. It was as full of delectable food as her fantasies.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Austin. You are so thoughtful." Tammy wolfed down her food while giggling at Calvin.
"It's my pleasure."
Calvin said gently and stroked her little head. He was baffled as to why the young girl, who couldn't find her parents, didn't appear to be in the least bit worried.
He thought children would always cry when they couldn't find their parents.
Calvin left the living room after spending some time with the little girl.
"Have you found her parents yet?" he asked of his assistant Oscar Jones.
"Not yet, Mr. Austin. Nobody has reported their kid missing to the police yet."
"That's so weird!"
Calvin was even more curious about who the girl was.
Calvin returned to the living room at ten o'clock at night to discover that the little girl, who had been perky for the whole day, had lost her energy like a dead phone.
Not only had she stopped eating, but she also appeared to be exhausted. She tried to raise the strawberry juice cup, but it toppled over and splashed all over her. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
"Tammy, what's wrong?"
In an instant, Calvin had a tissue ready to help her clean up the spilled juice.
"I'm so sleepy."
Tammy would fall asleep on time every night until 10 p.m. when she was too drowsy to keep her eyes open.
After saying this, she collapsed on the couch and fell asleep.
Calvin couldn't help but laugh when he saw the way she acted.
"Mr. Austin," Oscar said as he walked in, "a woman is at the door saying she's here to see her daughter Tammy."
Calvin thought things were heating up. He met a little girl out of nowhere, and then a woman arrived at his house looking for her daughter.
He was very interested in learning who the child's mother was and what she was planning.
"Let her in!"
"Yes!"
Jocelyn noticed her daughter lying on the couch as soon as she entered the living room. A man sitting next to Tammy seemed like he was about to do something to her.
"Ah! Bastard! Let go of my daughter!"
Jocelyn sprinted over to the sofa and pushed Calvin off of it.
She was so scared that she thought the jerk would have ruined her daughter if she had arrived a little later.
Calvin landed on the couch. When he realized that the woman was the same one who had kissed him earlier in the hotel, he stared at her in disbelief.
Calvin pursed his lips as if he could still taste the sweetness of her kisses.
"Damn! Is she pointing the finger at me? But I've never blamed her for what she did to me in the past."
Jocelyn was completely focused on Tammy. She screamed in terror when she saw her daughter lying motionless and her clothes stained with red liquid.
"Ah! What have you done to my child? Why is she drenched in blood? You hideous beast! You murdered my daughter! I'm going to kill you!"
Jocelyn became so agitated that she turned around and grabbed Calvin by the neck.
Calvin shook her off and said, "Stop it, you crazy woman! Your daughter had just fallen asleep. And, it's strawberry juice, not blood!"
After Jocelyn smelled Tammy's shirt, she realized it smelled like strawberry juice. She then believed her daughter was sleeping when she reached out and touched her.
Jocelyn was no longer tense, but her eyes widened in shock as she realized who was the man beside her. "It's you?"
"Hmph!"
A solemn expression crossed Calvin's face as he rearranged his suit jacket. He glared at her disdainfully, then stood up and walked away.
"Nice try! Previously at the hotel, you came up to me on purpose and then ordered your daughter to fall in front of me. You took advantage of the situation by arranging for your daughter to go back home with me. Tell me, what exactly do you want from me? Why are you following me?"
"I'm not following you!"
Jocelyn took a few steps forward and continued, "You haven't answered my question! Why did you kidnap my daughter? Are you a pedophile? Did you take her home because you thought she was cute?"
"Are you calling me a pedo?"
Calvin abruptly turned around.
Jocelyn was caught off guard and collided with his chest, and her nose hurt from hitting his firm pecs.
"Aren't you? You almost lay your evil hands on my daughter just now!" Jocelyn said. She could not rely on anything other than what she saw.
Calvin found her charge ridiculous. His indifferent eyes widened and hardened into a glare as he pushed Jocelyn up against the wardrobe.
"Ah! What are you doing?" Jocelyn let out a terrified scream.
"I'm going to demonstrate right now that I only like mature women and I have no interest in children."
She had a faint pleasant body scent, and he could detect it because they were so close together. He bent over and passionately kissed her on the lips as if he couldn't control himself.
Jocelyn's eyes widened in horror after he kissed her, but she didn't reject his kiss for some reason.
Calvin became engrossed in the kiss because Jocelyn's lips were so sweet and tender. He started to feel like he couldn't live without her kisses.
However, at that precise moment, a woman at the door said, "What, Calvin's already back? Hmm? What's with the high heels in here?"
A beautiful woman with impeccable taste walked through the living room door shortly. Soon after she spotted the woman's high heels on the floor, she noticed her son was kissing a woman by the wall.
She saw a sexually suggestive picture was too much for most people to take in.
"Calvin!"
Beatrice Austin could hardly conceal her excitement. She began to thank God and even her forefathers.
She was overjoyed that her son, who had been single for years, was finally finding love.
Jocelyn was startled by Beatrice, so she pushed Calvin away in panic.
