Chapter 77
Happy reading.
It had never occurred to Elena in the slightest that her happy family would just be destroyed. Almost everyone who saw them would be amazed, jealous and curious. How can you build a family that happy without any problems.
Until a time came when Elena’s strong family was rocked by a storm.
That night Elena had just arrived home after finishing studying with her friends. If usually her parents would greet her happily, that night was so different. It wasn’t the sweet smile that Elena received but instead the cursing and swearing she heard.
Papa and Mama fought for the first time. Yes, at least that’s what Elena has seen so far.
“Papa… Mama….” Elena’s call made both of them silent. She glanced at Elena for a moment then looked away in all directions as if to hide what was going on.
“You two–”
“Elena, come into your room!” Melia’s orders were full of emphasis interrupting Elena’s words.
Elena thought that even if she stayed there she wouldn’t be able to help him obediently enter the room. The thirteen year old girl could only hope that her parents’ fight would end when she woke up in the morning.
But hope is only wishful thinking. They did stop fighting but separation became a choice. Elena really wanted to be angry with Melia, her mother because she knew that her mother was the one who sued her father for divorce. Later Elena knew the reason for her mother, all respect and respect for her father disappeared in an instant.
“Your father had an affair and chose that woman over us,” said Melia.
Yes. That’s a fact. Elena’s happy family was destroyed because of a woman who had stolen her father.
Since then Elena has hated women who are the third person in a relationship.
Why should you love someone who already belongs to someone else? Are there no other men out there who don’t have a partner yet? Is the self-esteem of a woman that low? Does achieving happiness have to be that selfish? At the expense of the family happiness of the man.
Elena always wondered, why is there such a woman?
She don’t know. Elena didn’t want to think about it. For her the most important thing now is how she will make his mother happy, who has been struggling to support them after her father left with the woman she was having an affair with.
Elena didn’t need a father figure anymore. She was very happy to have Melia who loved her so much. Their life is far from luxurious, but that doesn’t necessarily make them sad. They belong to each other, that’s the most important thing.

“Elena, do you mind if Mama remarries?”
One question that made Elena petrified in place. Hadn’t he said that he didn’t need a father figure anymore? Why did such a question suddenly appear?
Oh, damn it! Elena forgot that her mother was still young and still quite beautiful. Isn’t it wrong if the woman still wants a man in her life? But, does it have to be this soon? One year too soon for Elena.
“You loves someone?” Elena asked back carefully.
Melia nodded with a shy face. “Yes. That’s if you agree. If not….” The woman no longer continued her words because from the bottom of her heart she didn’t want Elena to disagree. She really hoped her daughter would agree.
Elena smiled faintly. She, who had been sleeping on Melia’s lap, got up and held tightly the hand of the woman who had given birth to him.
“If that makes Mama happy, I don’t mind at all,” said Elena. She can’t be selfish, her mother also has the right to be happy with the man of her choice.
But not the man now sitting in front of her. Elena glared at Mama and the man. She really regretted giving her blessing.
“Elena, listen—”
“I gave Mama my blessing not to marry this man,” Elena interrupted quickly when Melia was about to give an explanation.
“Elena—”
“Don’t call my name!” Elena snapped when the man was about to persuade her. “A treacherous man like you doesn’t deserve to call my name,” Elena said glaring at the man.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
“Elena, watch your words!” Melia said in a high tone. For the first time Melia snapped at Elena and it was for a man.
She chuckled. For a girl her age, Elena really shouldn’t say that. Especially on an older figure. But circumstances no longer supported Elena to be polite.
“Why? Did I say something wrong? This man already has a wife but instead is in a relationship with Mama. If not a traitor then what should I call him?” she asked.
The fact that her mother loves a married man makes Elena so disappointed. Isn’t it enough that their family was destroyed by the presence of a third person? So now why did the figure that Elena valued and was so proud of become the third person in other people’s household relationships?
“Mama loves Mr. Erwin.” That expression was self-explanatory to Elena. The words that also tore Elena’s feelings as if old wounds had reopened, but now it’s even worse because the person carrying the wound was the most valuable figure in Elena’s life.

In the end Melia marries Erwin while Elena chooses to live alone. She was too disappointed, or rather hate her own mother.
Elena thought that everything would end there. But she was wrong. Although her mother no longer lives with her there. The news about her mother becoming the second wife became a hot topic among her neighbors.
Temptation girl.
Elena’s new nickname. It doesn’t end there. The woman who claims to be Mr. Erwin’s first wife also always comes and beats Elena. Swearing and insulting seemed to be a breakfast menu. Elena was the perfect target for the woman’s wrath.
Elena’s suffering is complete. Want to go? But where? Elena has no goals. The woman even thought about dying. After all, there was no longer any reason for him to live.
It was then that Jayden’s figure came. A figure like a helper angel for Elena. The most comfortable and sturdiest place for Elena to lean on. Elena’s desire to die faded away because of the man’s presence.
“Should I do something about your father’s first wife?”
Elena’s eyes widened at Jayden’s words.
“Hah?”
Jayden rolled her eyes lazily. “Oh come on honey. She’s gone too far. We can take her to the police for molestation.”
What Jayden said was true. If Elena reported the woman’s actions, she would definitely be severely punished. Then, does that make Elena happy?
The answer is no. That’s not what Elena wanted.
“No need, Jay,” Elena said making her boyfriend groan in frustration.
“Then you’re going to let her continue to treat you like this?”
Elena shook her head. “Not really.”
“Lalu?”
“Take me away from them so I can forget everything.”
Jayden flinched at Elena’s words. The woman’s eyes shone brightly showing such great desire.
Emotions that had overflowed gradually subsided. Jayden pulled Elena’s thin body into his arms.
“I promise to take you away and I promise to make you happy, Elena,” Jayden said confidently.
Elena smiled sadly. “Thank you Jayden. I love you.”
