Chapter 55 – Wedding Plans
"Good morning Mrs. Fontanilla!" Lyken greeted when she answered his call.
"Good morning, my love!" She replied sweetly.
It's only been a week since he proposed, and now, he's out of town with Kobe to work on their projects. Whenever she looked at her engagement ring, Jada would feel her heart swell.
She can still remember what happened that day. Everything was crystal clear to her. After he proposed and received greetings from their friends and parents, they went out to the restaurant's balcony. Jada thought they were just checking the sights he mentioned while eating, but then a chopper showed up. It rolled down a banner that said, 'I love you, Mrs. Fontanilla!!
After that, they went sightseeing with their friends and parents. Then they went back to the restaurant for dinner.
When the event was over, Lyken took her to his condo instead of hers. There, they shared a hot and sizzling night. It was the best she's ever had with him so far.
The next day, Lyken took her home, and they were both surprised to see their friends gathered in her living room. They looked like they just had finished having their lunch. "Why are you all here?" Jada asked, glancing at Lyken, confused.
"Well, we're here to plan your wedding!" Honey announced. "I'm gonna help you look for an organizer," she added.
"Ah, Honey, Jada wants to organize our wedding on her own," Lyken informed her.
Honey sat down on the sofa, "Are you sure?" she asked, and Jada nodded. "Then I'll help you check out some suppliers for everything you need. What about your wedding dress?"
"I've decided to leave that to KC," Jada informed her.
Her smile widened immediately, "Sis, you made the best choice!" she exclaimed, knowing that KC would be designing her wedding gown.
"Hmm, then I guess I'll have to talk to Miss Benitez regarding that gown or gowns," Lyken butted in as he rubs on his chin.
Jada knew he'd say that. She looked at Honey, and they both giggled. They know he wants to talk to KC, so he can tell her not to make the gowns too sexy.
"So! If Honey's helping you with your wedding preps, then the pinks will take care of the bridal shower!" Ada announced as he pointed at himself and Bambi. "Then we'll take the stag party off your hands," Robin chimed in.
Jada looked at Lyken only to see he was already looking at her, then they both chuckled. She loves how their friends are very supportive and helpful in preparing for their wedding. "Okay, we'll leave both parties to you guys!" All four of them looked ecstatic.
"Since you all got your tasks well-taken care of, we will focus on our projects," Kobe commented. "We still have some pending projects we need to finish before your wedding because he asked for a month off," he stated while looking at Jada. Lyken turned to the man next to him, "Sorry, I forgot about our projects, dude!" He told Kobe as he scratched the back of his neck.
Kobe shook his head in disbelief, "You're that excited about your wedding?" he asked, and Lyken nodded right away.
"Don't worry about the wedding Ly, I got this. Just do your job and don't stress your best man," Jada told him, pointing at Kobe. He just nodded at her as he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close to him.
And now, he's calling to check on her while they're in Soria. Their current location is their last project before the wedding.
"Did you just woke up?" he asked.
Jada lazily stretched out her arms as she rolled on her stomach, "I woke up for five to ten minutes before you called. I'm just too lazy to get out of the bed," she giggled.
"Does the preparation exhaust you?" he asked worriedly.
She sighed, "Actually, it's Honey who's exhausting me," she told him truthfully before letting out a hearty laugh.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
"I knew you'd say that," he said. "Kobe told me about how she prepared for her wedding. For example, they picked twenty-six different styles and designs for their centerpiece. After a week, they managed to narrow it down to five. Then it took Honey another week to finalize what they're using for the wedding," he narrated.
"Exactly! I already have my choices for the flowers, gowns for the entourage, centerpieces, tablecloths, and everything else. But she still insists that we look for two more choices before I make my final decision," she complained.

Jada heard someone ask Lyken who he was talking to. He responded and mentioned Honey's name while mumbling something. He was talking to Kobe.
"Baby, make sure to have lunch on time, okay? I need to go back now. Kobe needs me to check something."
"Sure baby, don't miss out on your meals too," she reminded her future husband. They exchanged I love you's then they ended the call.
While she was still on her bed, Jada checked her email if there was anything important. Confirming that there was none, she pushed herself up.
Tying her hair into a bun, she opened the door and walked out of her room to the kitchen. Midway, she heard people talking, so Jada stopped by the living room only to see their friends huddled there.
"What's up?" She asked as she walked up to them. They were all startled that they suddenly stopped talking. Robin even grabbed something from Ada and hid it behind his back.
Steve glanced at Robin and the pinks before he smiled at Jada, "Nothing! We're just planning for the parties," he stated.
She looked at them one by one before turning on her heel. She headed to the kitchen instead. She grabbed a glass, poured water into it, then stood close to the kitchen's entrance.
It's as if her friends knew that she was spying on them. They remained quiet. Jada strode to the living room and glared at them. "I hate you!" She spat, but they just laughed at her. "Go back to your room! The parties won't be as surprising if you knew the details," Robin called her off as she pushed her into her room.
I look at Bambi and Ada, but they're just looking back at me. Steve, on the other hand, is grinning widely. I stuck my tongue out to him before getting in. 'They're up to something!'
