Chapter 628
Chapter 628:
As their eyes met, it felt like they were back to their first encounter.
Back then, they had been opponents, both guarded, each ready to pounce and take a piece out of the other.
Now, however, there was a thrill of something deeper, an electric charge that blurred the lines between rivalry and something far more dangerous.
Allison stretched her arms and triggered the lift cabinet’s descent. As it slowly lowered, she led the way to the underground practice room.
Kellan grabbed the jacket she had left over the sofa and followed her into the underground space.noveldrama
The practice room was spacious and meticulously designed, outfitted with an array of equipment. It was an ideal place for the kind of no-holds-barred encounter he suspected they were both craving.
Allison picked up a gun from the cabinet, balancing it lightly on one finger as it spun in a smooth arc.
She shot him a challenging look, eyebrow raised. “I assume I don’t need to go over the basics? How about a shooting contest first?”
Kellan smirked. “Sure.”
No sooner had he spoken than Allison raised her arm.
Her stance was relaxed, yet there was a razor-sharp focus in her eyes.
Her face transformed instantly, her gaze narrowing with steely intensity. It was as though the entire room had fallen away. In her eyes, there was nothing but the sniper scope.
Boom, boom, boom—
Ten rapid shots cracked through the air, and the large screen above them zoomed in on the results.
“Ten shots, nine rings.” Allison squinted, flexing her wrist with a slight frown. “Looks like I’ve gotten a bit rusty after three years off the trigger.”
Kellan chuckled, a gleam of admiration in his eyes. “If that’s rusty, I’d hate to see you on a good day. Even seasoned pros can’t match that.”
He turned to the target range, taking his own stance.
Allison observed, tracking his every movement.
Kellan’s arm tensed as he steadied the gun, each muscle in his forearm forming taut, deliberate lines.
His motions were exact, almost mechanical in their precision.
He didn’t even blink when he fired.
It was rare for Allison to see this side of him, focused and lethal, like a predator on the hunt.
Boom!
The screen flashed: eight rings.
Allison raised a brow, smirking. “Not bad, Mr. Lloyd.”
