Revenge After rebirth (Mayra and Anderson)

Chapter 52

"She went back."

Mayra was extremely tired. She slipped under the sheets and buried herself underneath. "Andy, sleep early. I have school tomorrow."

Anderson waited until she was sound asleep. Listening to her rhythmic breathing, he rose and turned off her bedside lamp before he left. The room was enveloped in darkness once he closed the door.

Half awake, Mayra fumbled for the switch next to her bed with her eyes closed. She turned on the bedside lamp.

The next morning, a sliver of morning light shone into her room. Lisa knocked on her door.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

"Ms. Mayra, it's time to wake up and have breakfast. You have school today."

Still feeling drowsy, Mayra glanced over at the time. It was still around five, and the sun had just risen. She managed to haul herself up, knowing that she had to go to school. Lisa entered with her uniform.

"Ms. Mayra, this is your uniform. It has been washed and ironed. Mr. Anderson is waiting for you to join him for breakfast downstairs."

Mayra sauntered to the bathroom to freshen up. She finally felt awake after brushing her teeth and washing her face. She changed into her uniform and went downstairs with her bag.

Anderson was dressed in a suit and leather shoes. He sat cross-legged on the retro leather couch, holding a cup of tea as he skimmed through the finance news.

He seemed gentle when he was engrossed in something, unlike the cold demeanor he had during work.

Lisa pulled out a chair for her and brought a set of sterilized tableware over. "Ms. Mayra, breakfast is ready."

Mayra didn't head to the dining table. She strode toward Anderson instead. Standing behind him, she clasped her hands behind her and bent down beside him.

"You're so focused. What are you looking at?"

Anderson glanced over at her,

noticing a tiny mole on her neck.

They were merely inches away from

each other. He could smell her scent from her uniform, emanating a fragrance similar to his.

Sensing his warm breath on her back, Mayra glanced over at him and met his gaze. "I don't understand a word it says. Andy, let's have breakfast." She turned and left, but her fragrance still lingered around him. He couldn't get rid of it.

"Ms. Mayra, this will be your seat from now on."

Mayra sat in her seat, obediently waiting for Anderson to come over before she could eat. Despite being a guest, she still had to abide by their rules.

Anderson set his newspaper aside and rose. He looked dazzling in his impeccable suit, and no one could tear their eyes off him. She would never get tired of his looks no matter how old she was.

The entire mansion was brightly lit, but it was still fairly dark out.

Anderson settled into his seat. "Ignore the rules. Just behave like how you used to, and treat this place as your home."

Lisa served some chowder for her. Mayra noticed some gooey, seemingly nutritious bits and pieces in it. "Andy, do you usually go to work at this hour?"

Anderson fished her some food. "Sometimes."

Sipping on her chowder, Mayra glanced around the spacious living room. A crystal chandelier hung in the middle of the living area.

"Andy, don't you feel alone living in such a huge house by yourself? Why won't you let Isa move in with you since both of you are already engaged?"

"I'll get people to pack your stuff today. Do you want to move in with me after you get off school?"

Mayra rejected his offer blatantly. Shaking her head, she answered "No. I'm really fine living there. And most importantly, it's nearer to the school. I can even join the evening classes."

Anderson's gaze darkened. "Evening classes? It'll be late by the time you go home. It's not safe. Be a good girl and move in with me."
