“Hello! I’m the maid from the Fisher Family, Old Mr. Fisher sent me with nutritional supplements, flowers, and some cold compress patches, just in case you might need them. He originally intended to visit you in person, but something came up.” NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.
The maid placed the pile of items on the table next to the sickbed, and Elisa hurriedly expressed her thanks, feeling touched by Old Mr. Fisher’s thoughtfulness. Although she hadn’t met him yet, Old Mr. Fisher seemed to have considered everything, even preparing cold compress patches.
Elisa reached up to touch her neck, feeling a dull ache where Yan’s mother had struck her with the bag.
“Thank you very much. Please convey our gratitude to Old Mr. Fisher,” Elisa said as the maid left.
After the maid departed, Elisa’s mother sat up.
“Though we haven’t met him yet, the people from the Fisher Family are very kind, even preparing so much for us. Elisa, when you meet him, you must express your thanks properly, Beatrice said, though inwardly she still hadn’t fully accepted the fact that her beloved daughter was marrying a vegetable.
Elisa approached the chicken soup and smelled the herbs even more vital, making her stomach growl.
Elisabeth took a spoon, filled a large bowl for her mother, and went towards her.
“Mother, try it, this soup looks delicious!” She exclaimed, looking at her mother. “You’re only eating these hospital meals or even the fast food I bring, they’re not nutritious, so have some of the soup to replenish your body.”
Beatrice just took a sip from the soup bowl in silence. Only after a while did she say something.
“I must admit, it’s delicious! Dear, you can drink too. You need it, too!” Beatrice said.
“Don’t worry, mother,” Elisabeth said, taking another bowl and drinking with her mother.
It had been a long time since they had done this, eating fresh and healthy food.
In the Nursing home.
“Mr. Robert, your sweet little wife is in trouble. The Barson family is shameless. They intimidate her ir every way. Would you like to help?” Charles said.
Robert’s eyes fell on Charles, thinking about the woman who provoked his anger but refused to take responsibility, thinking about the woman who made him pretend to be dead to act with her, he felt a surge of anger rising within him. He couldn’t believe he had previously helped her suppress the news!
With these thoughts in mind, Robert responded coldly.
“Next time, if you dare to let me hear you call her my wife, you will automatically disappear in front of me!” He roared, clearing his throat, and added, “Why are you so sure that she was intimidated? And what is said on the internet is not true?”
