Pertemis: A Wolf’s Tale

Chapter 33 Tale of Warm Welcome

Chapter 33 Tale of Warm Welcome

Percy’s Point of View

Dizziness but the blurry image was starting to scenes. Percy vision clear and the first thing he saw, no the first person was an angry Artemis staring down at him.

A very furious Artemis.

Before he could say a word, she slapped him with such force that Zeus's thunder would have no match that his head buried into the white pillow.

"Ouch!" Percy held his swollen cheek and glared at her. "What was that for!?"

Artemis leaned back then put a hand on her hip, the other held up the tube that was used to exchange their blood.

"Why did you risk your life to do this?" She said as humanly, or as godly calm as possible. "I didn't endanger my life to save you so that you can risk it again."

She was glowing, and when she glows, things get bad.

"Calm down first, you are glowing" he told her. The last time she glowed silver, a dagger had buried in his torso.

She huffed, but her power had been submerged.

"You were dying!" He said. "What do you expect me to do?"

She turned away from him, ignored his reply, her arms folded at her chest.

Percy pulled out the needle at his inner elbow and stood up, he held her chin and turned her face to him. His eyes bored on her silver's.

"I've promised in front of mother" he told her. "I'll protect you no matter what. So I won't let you die on me Artemis"

"Talk the guy who's the cause of everything" She huffed, but couldn't stare at him as she said so.

"We are both wrong in this ok?" He sighed. "If I could get over my insecurities, then I wouldn't have ran away and if you could come over your stubbornness"

"I'm not stubborn!" Artemis opened her eyes and defended herself.

"Yeah right" Percy snorted, but that seemed to get the goddess angrier.

She slapped him again, his head seemed to have spun a 360 degrees.

"Would you stop the slapping!" He groaned. "You just came back from the death you know!"

"But it might bring out some senses for you" she knocked on his head.

"Sometimes I'm still questioning if we're actually related" he pouted, rubbing the spot where she knocked.

The flap of the tent opened and Apollo walked in, the moment he saw Artemis, his eyes lit up like candles.

"LITTLE SIS!" He lugged at Artemis and she attempted to dodge. Percy saw opportunity opening, he slightly pushed her forward towards a running Apollo, no a Rugby League player. Apollo tackled her into a hug, Percy could've heard a crack.

"Oh little sis it was soooo boring without our scowling and shooting me"

Percy couldn't help but snickered, only to received consistent glares from Artemis.

"And also there was no one to stop me from hitting on your hunters." He added with a smirk.

Artemis pushed him away and growled. "Apollo you dared."

"Relax I was joking" he laughed. "None has fallen for me...yet?"

His cocky smile made Artemis even more furious. She immediately summoned her bow as Apollo summoned a table and held it in front of him as a shield.

"Routine already?" He said. "That's fast!"

Artemis gave out a frustrated sigh. Clearly she was not in the mood for fighting. She turned to Percy.

"Let's go" Artemis ordered

"Uh where?" Percy frown, looking at Apollo was was as oblivious as him. Maybe she wanted to get back him because of the tease a moment ago.

"Meet my hunters of course" Artemis rolled her eyes. "They wouldn't appreciate it if I don't show you to them"

"Wait I forgot to talk to aunt Hestia" Percy snapped his finger, however sweats were starting to for, on his forehead. "I haven't met her for awhile "

The thought of facing the hunters was terrific. He was the reason why their lady got into this mess, that was not included the fact he nearly got her killed. If his genital was not cut off, then his head must be prepared. They must have been sharping their knives for awhile now, and they must be hating his guts.

"Don't you dare hiding from them Perseus" Artemis growled. "I'll hunt you personally if you do"

"But they will kill me!" He squirmed. "You just said you didn't endanger your life to for nothing right? I'm trying to not let your sacrifice be in vain"

"You also saved me Perseus!" Artemis chimed in. "That would be a solid reason fo them to keep you alive... At least."

"If you have a choice to jump into a pit of snakes and a pit of fire. Which one will it be?" Percy said. "Of course you wouldn't jump into any cause you're not stupid. I'm trying to save myself here."

"Blablabla excuses blabla." Artemis rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry cuz," Apollo raised a thumb. "My hospital opens 24/7"

Ok that just doesn't make the situation any brighter, Percy thought.

Artemis turned and narrowed her eyes, a weird yet happy feeling slowly developed within her.

"Since when did you two become buddies in arms?"

"Since you got your butts landed in the infirmary" Apollo said casually with a smirk. That got him an arrow.

The hunters gathered around, their faces crunched with displeasure when they notice Apollo. Guess the guys got a lot of reputation amongst them. Percy tried to stay as close to Artemis as possible, hiding behind her back despite the fact Artemis was quite uncomfortable with it. His breathing fanned the back of her neck kept sending chills down her spine. She suddenly felt hot, liking really hot. A weird feeling was starting to build up, a desire that she never experienced it before. She took all he composure no to turn back smack her lips on that idiot behind her.

"So guys, I've brought the...". Before Artemis could say the next word, arrows were already flying at her direction. With her quick reflection, Artemis jumped aside immediately, leaving Percy an opened target.

The arrows pinned him to a tree, the hunters seemed to satisfied since his face was as white as a paper. Apollo was even funnier since it was priceless.

"Sis" Apollo stuttered, trying to get the words out. "I think your hunters are descendent of Native Americans"

He immediately got glared and gulped.

"Uh I think my mama needs me" Apollo pointed his thumb backwards. "See ya cuz and farewell"

He disappeared after a blink.

"Now girls" Artemis smiled at them. "Satisfied?"

Percy just got back his senses and the next thing he saw made him nearly wet his pants.

The daughter of Zeus was marching to him.

She gave him a punch on the cheek, sent him to the ground and Artemis had to wince since she heard a crack.

Go girl.

"That's for making up the meals I haven't got for an entire week!" Thalia snarled and stormed off.

Reluctantly, the hunters followed her. Annabeth gave him a smile and mouthed welcome back before strolling off with her sisters.

Percy groaned as he tried to sit up. Rubbing his swollen cheek, the blood dropped on the ground. "Damn that girl can pack a punch"

Artemis chuckled as she knelt down in front of him.

"See it wasn't that bad"

"You weren't in my situation" he sneered. "Of course it never appears terrified to you" Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Artemis lift his chin with her fingers, turned it side to side to check for any injury. It seemed Thalia didn't dislocate his jaw, which Artemis was glad since it would not appear to be nice on that strong jawline of his.

She leaned closer and gave him a perk on the swollen spot. Percy's eyes widened in surprise.

"For your bravery" Artemis smiled. "Welcome back, Perseus."
