Chapter 8 Dominating Sugar Daddy
The night was as cold as water.
The Blue Sky neighborhood in downtown Blue Whale City was a neighborhood that would soon face demolition, and most of the residents in it had already moved out. Few people still lived here.
Ava’s home was in The Blue Sky, but even the most dilapidated house in Blue Whale City was not hers. The landlord had already got the demolition money, then he no longer cared about this house, thus Ava has not moved out yet.
The whole neighborhood had seven buildings in total, but from the time Liam drove into the neighborhood to the downstairs of the building where she lived, he did not see a single person.
“Ava, is this where you live?” Looking at a dilapidated building with only six floors, of which even the windows had been weathered. On the first floor, the word “demolition” was printed on the building. So eye-catching and scribbled!
Even though she worked so hard that she went to school during the day and worked at night, barely ate or slept in order to earn money, and was as thin as a sheet of paper, she still couldn’t move out of here.
At that moment, Liam’s heart hurt so much.
This was the first time he had sent Ava home, and he really didn’t expect that she would live in such a place.
Seeing Liam’s depressed expression, Ava’s heart inexplicably ached, pierced by a feeling called inferiority complex. She should not have let Liam send her back. Otherwise she wouldn’t have seen her even poorer situation.
“Well, my family has lived here for many years, I have feelings for this place. I’m still a little sad to tear it down, and when it does come down after a while, I’ll go out and live there.” Her voice was light as a breeze, struggling to find reasons for herself.
But her hands were clenched in a death grip, and her nails were almost sunk into her palm.
“Ava, do you fool others as much as you fool yourself? You want to leave this place, this nightmarish, dark abode, more than anyone else.” Ava mocked at herself in mind.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
Growing up with her father, her only memory was that her father would be at her after he came back from drinking, scolding her for being a drag, and she would do nothing but cry, or beg for mercy, but nothing helped. The only memory she had of this house was fear, even now that she was grown up. Jack was not home anymore. Every day when she returned to that house, she would be afraid, as if the memories of her childhood were engraved in her soul and indelible, and when it got dark, she couldn t help but curl up with the covers over her head to find safety and barely sleep. She used to be able to work outside part-time until dawn, and never come back, and when she went to school she also tried to stay in the dormitory and not go home.
But in the face of such a place like a nightmare, she was still what she called home, because in addition to here, between the vast heaven and earth, there was no place for her, if the house existed no more, she was really homeless. All the money she earned had been given to her father for medical expenses, and she couldn t even afford to pay for her own meals, except for the 50-cent buns, which she didn t eat every day, and some cookies and bread saved by her classmates, which were given to her, but she still went hungry from time to time.
In such a luxurious and extravagant twenty-first century, she was living such a poor and starving life, perhaps, giving up study might make her life much easier, but study was the only thing that she had stuck down for herself since childhood. If she didn t study, what would the future be like? If she didn t get a good job with her education, how was she going to live? Would there be any hope for her future? So she had to persevere, because she wanted to change her life now more than anyone else. She didn t want too many things, she just wanted to live a peaceful life.
But it’s too hard. Because she would soon be homeless, the so-called “move out” day, was the day she is homeless.
How could God be so cruel to her?
Ava gathered up her inner pain, still smiling, unbuckled her seat belt, got out of the car and said to Liam, “Brother Liam, thank you for helping me so much today.”
“That’s all right, it’s all I should do.” In the meantime, Liam also got out of the car, “Let’s go, I’ll take you up.” His voice was as gentle as the warm June sun, but it made her heart ache even more.
She couldn’t let him send her up there again, seeing where she lived would only make her more groundless.
“No need. Brother Liam, I’ll just go up myself.” Ava still smiled, but subconsciously took a step back.
Please. God don’t be so cruel, that he saw her poor living house was enough, enough down and out, she just wanted to save some pride in front of the person she liked.
“But, I just want to walk you upstairs just… want to see if you have any neighbors around you that can be company, if not, I’ll call my friend and help you find a place to live…’ Liam’s heart hurt. At that moment, he could almost determine his own feelings for Ava, he did not want to let her suffer again and he didn t want to leave her alone.
He had already seen her desperate and despondent situation during the day, and realized at night that she was even more miserable than he had known, so how could he let her go?
“Brother Liam… Ahem… Ahem… Ahem…” Ava didn’t want Liam to go upstairs and see her wretched abode, and in her haste she actually coughed.
Why did God have to be so cruel? Yes, she was very down and out, yes, she was very needy, but every word from the mouth of her favorite person was like a knife, telling her how cruel the reality was, how pathetic she was, how she deserved to stand with him and sit at a table to eat!
She didn t want to hear it, she really didn t want to hear it!
Liam froze and looked at Ava, seeing her wounded expression for a moment, a little at a loss “Ava, I just… want to help you.” Liam’s eyes flashed with a trace of regret, he was too anxious. He forgot how strong a girl Ava was, how many times he wanted to lend a helping hand, she refused. That’s why he admired her, even liked her. She was so stubborn and strong, even if the circumstances were bad, but also never gave in. Her toughness was engraved in his heart deeply, much indelible. “Sorry, Ava! Forget it, just ignore what I said. Take it easy, I have cough medicine in the car, and I just saw you have a water vendor over there, I’ll go buy you a bottle of water. Eat some medicine and then go up.”
Liam changed the subject with embarrassment and concern, then backed away with a smile.
“Thanks.” Ava also did not know how to face Liam again, despondently lowered her head and nodded
Liam knew Ava’s thoughts all too well, and he turned around and went to buy water without saying anything.
Watching Liam turn around, Ava subconsciously wrapped her arms around her shoulders. It was as if all the strength that she had just pretended to have disintegrated instantly.
So cold was the reality! The last thing she wanted was to be so lousy in front of the person she liked, but she could only accept his help and couldn t do anything…
A crystal tear slid down her thin as a knife-like meticulous face, not beautiful, but extraordinarily poignant.
The expression on her face was so beautiful that he wanted to break her more beautiful with his own hands. In the dark, a silver Lamborghini Hermes luxury car stopped, as a pair of stunning Italian leather shoes quietly fell to the ground, a man in a suit from that car, the air instantly turned condensed, only for his absolute pride in the world’s aura.
He quietly approached the young girl who was shivering in the cold wind as if to blend in.
Smiling coldly, like a cold wind, he dragged her into the door of the unit behind him, unceremoniously dragging her casually into a half-open door of a room.
Ava only felt a strong presence appear from behind her, covering her mouth and pulling her closer to the inside of the building, but also pushing her into a room on the first floor that was no longer occupied, pushing her onto the cold concrete floor.
Ava raised her head in panic and tried to call for help, but was confronted with a pair of eyes like a ghost in the dark night, so sharp that she could only shiver and let out a word, “Why are you here?”
A six-foot-tall man, wearing a black trench coat-style jacket with a stand-up collar, appeared to have his whole person ice-cold as an edge.
The handsome face was still perfect, more than Liam; the narrow eyes were flashing a great light; and his aggressive sharp sexy thin lips, with the corners of the mouth hooked, gave her a smile that was extraordinarily cruel, as if a cruel and bloodthirsty hit man.
“Shouldn’t it be me? You have other sugar daddy?” The corner of Noah’s mouth lifted a cold-blooded and merciless mockery, while his eyes were full of disgust, as if looking at a dirty and unpleasant piece of garbage.
Ava shook her head in surprise, no, she was not that casual woman, her sugar daddy was only him.
“I see that man out there is nice, is he your next target?” Noah sneered and took a step forward, his shiny black leather shoes making a sound on the concrete, causing Ava’s body to cower a bit.
“No, it’s not,” she couldn’t figure out how he could be here. Shouldn’t she have gotten rid of him? But why was he there? And what was he pressing her for?
“No? Or is that your boyfriend? That’s interesting, I wonder – does he know you’re out selling your body?” The bottom of Noah’s eyes were as dark and divine as a swamp, finally, he released a scaring hatred that almost wanted to devour her.
Yes, it’s hatred.
He hated the situation that the woman who was screaming lustfully under him and begging for mercy at his feet before, turned her head to another man! Even though she was a whore! Couldn’t she have waited to finish serving his rest 50, 000 before finding someone else?
He hated this feeling of being betrayed, which made him indignant and want to destroy everything! “If he knew his girlfriend was a whore, what would happen?”
