My Gentle Wife is a Real Divine Being CHAPTER 1078
“12 outfits? Are we hosting a flowing banquet?” Debra was astounded.
Marion smiled indulgently, “Then we won’t change.”
“You can’t skip that part.” Caleb’s voice suddenly came, and he hobbled in with his cane.
The attendants quickly stepped aside.
Caleb smiled and walked over to Debra. “That’s not too many. Marion’s mother did the same at her wedding. This is a once–in–a–lifetime event, and you’ll have the best of everything.”
“Well, this is my second.”
“There wasn’t even a ceremony. It doesn’t count
Debra was amused, and Marion chimed in, “Changing outfits takes time and energy. She looks great without changing anyway.”
“What do you know?” Caleb almost poked his cane in Marion’s face. “It’s the custom. No negotiation.”
With that, he signaled for the attendants to bring the dresses. noveldrama
Soon enough, they brought a wedding dress for Debra. “This is a designer piece with a five- meter–long train.”
“How long?” Debra thought she had misheard.
One of the attendants replied, “Five–meter–long train and six–meter–long veil.‘
Caleb urged, “Go ahead and try it on. If it’s not grand enough, I’ll have them adjust it.” “Thanks, Grandpa.” Debra walked up to the dress
The dress was beautiful. Any woman would be attracted to it, but putting it on would be exhausting, not to mention there were 12 of them.
“Don’t just stand there, kid. Go try on your suit in that room,” Caleb said, poking Marion with
his cane.
Marion reluctantly went to change, and Caleb shook his head.
In this aspect, Marion couldn’t match up to his father, Dwayne. Back then, to please Itzel; Dwayne accompanied her to try on dozens of outfits.
About ten minutes later, Debra came out of the fitting room. The wedding dress was a bit complicated, but it looked amazing. It cinched at her waist perfectly, and one of the attendants marveled, “Madam, this dress looks amazing on you. Mr. Houston will love it.”
“What is Caleb?”
“He left for a bit. He said this is a young couple’s fun, so he won’t interfere.”
Just then, Marion walked out of the changing room. He usually dressed formally but never wore a tie. This time, in a black suit with a tie, he looked striking. His tall, broad frame made the suit fit him perfectly, adding a touch of quiet elegance.
“Mr. Houston, what do you think of Mrs. Houston’s dress?” asked the attendant.
Marion looked up at Debra and smiled softly, “Gorgeous!”
