Chapter 16 The Shirt
Tyler
“Morning,”
I was up at six that morning and look at her fridge with nothing but beer, water, and some eggs. So I decided to make some omelet and toast for breakfast to go with the coffee.
“What are you doing?”
“Making breakfast,” I answered while giving her a cup of steaming hot coffee.
“Half-naked?”
She actually smirked and teases me while roaming her eyes on my shirtless body.
Mmh… we’re making progress here…
“I’m wearing my pants, and you’re still in my shirt. Not that I’m complaining, it looks good on you.”
“Really?” she rests back to the kitchen counter while sipping her coffee, showing me her naked thighs, crossing her legs knowing that she’s not wearing anything underneath.
“Really.” I put my coffee down and slipped my hand under the shirt.
“You should put the cup down, I want to kiss your delectable lips.”
She did as she was told and wrapped her arms behind my neck and let me give her my morning kiss.
We spent our morning with an intimate breakfast and I give her another kiss before heading back to my place and get ready for work.
She was still wearing my shirt when she spilled coffee and told me that she was going to wash it out for me, so I left her apartment in just my jacket then slipped into the spare clean shirt that I always kept in my car.
I had a busy morning that day, golfing with clients, then continue with a lunch meeting outside the office. I arrived at the office just after two in the afternoon, but I didn’t expect to see Jessica talking to Kayleigh, laughing, looking beautiful in her black pencil skirt and what appears as an oversize man’s shirt. Her hair was up in a loose bun, her black heels finish off her looks sexily.
“I know that’s a man’s shirt she’s wearing, seriously, is she trying to pull off the boyfriend clothes look…” Elsie was to my side, sounding jealous while she gives me messages of my incoming calls from that morning.
“I think she’s wearing it perfectly and can you please ask Ms. Robinson to see me in my office? I need to discuss our three o’clock meeting before they arrived, and tell Kayleigh to bring me the client’s report that I’ve asked her for yesterday.”
“Tyler, I didn’t mean, look, I’m sorry about…” she was trying to be on my good side by apologizing but I was ignoring her, I just rather not deal with her drama.
“Elsie, please do as you’re told. I have a busy schedule.” I told her off and walked straight into my office.
I put the documents down and looked out the window, my mind was busy with the issue from Blackarc Holdings when Jessica came into my office looking sexually appetizing in a man’s white shirt.
My shirt.
“You look beautiful, tell me that that’s my shirt you’re wearing?” I asked after closing the door behind her, ignoring the curious stare from Elsie.
“Thank you, yes, it’s yours… turns out it’s very comfortable, and it’s clean so I’m wearing it.”
“You’re such a tease aren’t you?” I asked when she gave me her flirtatious smile.
We were interrupted by Kayleigh when she gave me the documents then excused herself out of my office. I would still gaze at Jessica, listening, as her words were flowing while she gives her inputs on the upcoming meeting. I know she’s smart, but I didn’t know that she has a very good opinion on how to solve the situation for later.
“Have you had your lunch?”
“Excuse me?”
“It’s fifteen past two, I’m asking have you had your lunch?”
She squinted her eyes but nodded when I didn’t budge and demanded her answer.
“Yes, I went out with Kayleigh earlier, didn’t have a sandwich if that’s what you’re wondering.” She sounded irritated but it made me smile at her warmly.
“You do look beautiful, Jessica.”
The woman blushed and tried to hide it by talking more about her client, and asked about my previous morning meeting.
“Blackarc Holdings, I don’t like the way they toy with their clients. It’s very risky and I’m actually thinking of stepping back from their dealings.”
“Ah, the great Kelvin Murphy Black,”
“Wait, you know him?”
“I went to school with him, he’s two years my senior.”
She smiled secretly and I didn’t like it. Kelvin was known for his player attitude, good with the ladies, and I definitely didn’t like that Jessica knows his middle name.
“Look, before you tell me to stay away from him, don’t, we’re friends he helped me with stuff,”
“What stuff? and I’m not jealous,”
I was actually furious.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“If you say so,”
She teased me again, and I wanted nothing but to bend her over the desk and smack her ass until they’re deliciously pink. I needed to calm myself down or I was going to have to adjust myself before I go into our meeting.
Jessica didn’t answer me, and I let the matter go and she was being professional when she walked with me to the meeting room. She introduced me to her client and I explained about our merger and she continue to proceed with the operational side. We were filling out each other sentences as if we’ve done them for years and the client looked satisfied and left the meeting room with a smile on his face.
“I have another meeting in half an hour, but I will pick you up for dinner at your apartment.”
“What? I haven’t agreed to a date?”
“You don’t eat dinner?”
“I do,”
“Me too, so I pick you up at six-thirty.”
I was gone without letting her say no. I can imagine her frustration and it was making me smirk while I walked to the elevator and headed to my next meeting.
The hours were long, but I made it through with the hope of seeing Jessica for dinner.
I was back at the office dropping off documents for Elsie to follow through and type up for my file in the morning. But I didn’t expect Jessica to still be in her office at six-fifteen.
“Why aren’t you back at your apartment? I’m supposed to pick you up in the next fifteen minutes.”
“I’m working,”
“No one is here.”
“Yet, here you are.” She retorted, like the little rebellious snarky woman she has been.
I chuckled, closed the blinds, and locked the door behind me.
“What do you think you’re doing?” she get up from her chair, looking startled and annoyed at the same time.
“Uhm, since I don’t have to pick you up in the next fifteen minutes I believe… I have time to do this,” I stepped closer and finally kissed her.
“I miss you, and I can’t stop thinking about you working in my shirt.”
She put her hands to my chest, then grasped my suit jacket and pulled me down to kiss her again.
“Me too, but that doesn’t mean you can set up our date without my approval.”
“My bad, I’ll go through Kayleigh next time and have Elsie set up our date.”
She giggled and pushed me down to the sofa, her skirt raised to her thighs when she sits sideways on my lap.
“Well, you’re in a good mood.”
“I am,” she whispered and let her hair down while kissing the side of my neck. My hands were on her back while telling her that we should really go to the restaurant.
“… we have a reservation, and I’m actually hungry.”
She pouted adorably, but then back to smiling when I tilted her head to deepen our kiss.
“Hey, I’m making sure you have your dinner first before I have you after dinner.”
“Okay,” she was back to her feet, took her purse, and held out her hand to me.
