Chapter 401
Swoosh!
A streak of light flashed by and sliced through the ropes. Mrs. Swift was rescued.
Nearby, a dozen of the Western Forces soldiers noticed the shadow. They quickly reacted by raising their rifles to fire.
However, the shadow did not even turn its head as it simply threw a few darts.
The darts were so fast that they struck the soldiers before they could even pull the trigger. The soldiers collapsed, and the rifles clattered to the ground.
Each dart struck right between their brows and killed them instantly.
On the towering platform stood Gary Harmon, the General of the West. His pupils constricted in terror, and his gaze locked onto the shadowy figure below.
A battle-hardened warrior himself, Gary had an uncanny sensitivity to bloodlust.
He was certain that the shadow's ability to kill had far surpassed anyone in the Western Forces, even himself.noveldrama
Gary felt chills run down his spine.
Such a terrifyingly skilled individual was serving Dustin! The realization was unsettling.
"The Asura General..." Gary muttered under his breath. Suddenly, his eyes widened in shock.
"The Asura Hall!"
Legends spoke of an organization that existed only for the art of killing.
To them, the act of slaughter was survival and doctrine. Hence, they were named Asura.
The Asura Hall was the world's strongest, bloodiest, and most feared assassination organization.
Their top assassin bore the title of Asura General.
Such an individual was aligned with Dustin...
"You hired the Asura General?!" Gary exclaimed in shock.
The cost of employing the Asura General was astronomical. It was beyond what anyone could ever afford.
Yet what Gary did not know was that while the Asura General could be hired, they could never be commanded, no matter how much money one offered.
They answered only to the King of Asura Hall.
Coincidentally, the King of Asura Hall answered only to the King of Hades.
Few knew the truth, but the dreaded assassination organization was, in fact, a subordinate branch of Hell Hall.
A few years ago, Dustin had walked
into the Asura Hall alone with a sword in hand. He fought his way to the highest level of Asura Hall. He pressed his sword against the king's throat. From that day forth, the Astra Hall was his.
"Protect Mrs. Swift," Dustin commanded.
The Asura General gave a curt nod, then vanished into the shadows with Mrs. Swift.
It was as if they had evaporated into thin air in front of the soldiers of the Western Forces.
Nothing could stop Dustin anymore.
"Dustin, where have you been these past twenty years?" Gary asked darkly.
Dustin was no ordinary man. Anyone could see that.
"Running, hiding... learning a few things from some masters in seclusion," said Dustin with an icy face. "All thanks to you. "You were there, weren't you? When my family was slaughtered..."
Gary sneered.
"Indeed, I was.
"And I'll save you the trouble of guessing. I'm the one who leaked the news about the Fox family's si ring."
Dustin's eyes burned with fury.
So, Gary was the root of it all...
It was because of this man that the Fox family had been eradicated!
"Simply for reporting that, I rose
vel
through the military ranks and reached heights I never even dreamed of!" Gary's voice wavered, and his tone was prideful.
He then sighed almost wistfully.
"I deeply regretted not reporting about it sooner. I regretted not killing more people when I was in the Fox family villa and regretted letting you and your sibling escape, or I might've earned another star on my shoulder."
Dustin clenched his fists so tightly that his veins bulged.
He looked up, and his eyes bore into Gary.
He had to kill this man.
He deserved to die!
What do you think?
