Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 645

Chapter 645

“But are we just going to let them slander you online?” Jimmy was still frustrated.

“The trending topic has been taken down. Even if they continue discussing, they won’t get far. Something new will replace it in awhile, and today’s discussions will be forgotten,” Cynthia replied, maintaining her cool

Jimmy wanted to say more, but Cynthia decided to end the call. She asked him not to worry too much. Given her father’s interest in social media, he would not know about this short–lived trend. However, just because he did not know did not mean no one would tell him, like her cousin, Kendrick

“President, this is a trending topic from today. Would you like to take a look?” Lionel Tom held a tablet and handed it to

“What’s there to see about a trending topic Kendrick was busy with work. Once he cleared his workload, he could finally take abreak. During the holiday, he needed to discuss with Cynthia about taking over the Yates Group next year. He had been managing it for her for so long. It was about time he got a break, was it not?

Lionel, who know about Cynthia’s identity, held the tablet out and added, “The trending topic is related to the young lady.”

Kendrick paused. “Cyn?” He stopped what he was doing and took the tablet. When he saw the headline about a 200 million divorce, he frowned with puzzlement and disbelief.

Kendrick exploded after reading a part of it, his anger flaring “Can’t these people watch their words?

“They don’t know she’s Cynthia,” Lionel explained.

“So they can say anything they want because they don’t know? What if it was an ordinary girl? Is it acceptable to blurt out nonsense without knowing the facts?” Kendrick fumed, a rage simmering within him that threatened to explode. “Suppose she was just an ordinary girl; it’s not fair to her to form assumptions and place labels based on one’s own speculation without understanding the truth, is it?”

Lionel maintained his good behavior, understanding that the president was not to be trifled with when he was angry.

“Call a press conference immediately,” Kendrick commanded decisively. His first reaction was to publicize Cyn’s identity. He was infuriated, unable to stand the wild speculations about his precious younger sister. It was as if they thought she had no one to protect her.

“Go now.”

“Shouldn’t we discuss this with Ms. Cynthia? She has always been reluctant to publicize her identity. If you make the announcement without her approval, it might not be the best idea,” Lionel reasoned.

Kendrick’s fiery temper cooled considerably. He pinched his brows together, pondered, and realized the inappropriateness of his approach. Cyn was averse to public disclosure. However, he could not stand by while the worki gossiped about her,

“Do you have a solution?” he queried.

Lionel dared not make hasty suggestions. “No,” he admitted:

Kendrick sighed.

“However, the trending topic has been removed. It seems Ms. Cynthia has had it handled.”

Kendrick checked for himself and found it to be true. Supporting his head in his hands, he thought for a while before making a decision. “You can leave now. I’ll go find Cyn. Don’t bother coming to the company for the next few days; go home for the New Year

Most of the other employees at the Yates Group had already taken their leave. However, as the president’s secretary, Lionel had to stay as long as Kendrick had work to be done. Luckily, he finally got to take his leave now.
