Under Protection
CHAPTER 31: Under Protection
– LIA –
KELLEON AND I just finished having our lunch together. We were on the sofa while watching some TikTok videos on my phone. His upper back is leaning on the armrest, and he’s lying on the sofa. I’m sitting in the space between his legs and leaning on his chest.
The sound of the phone is the only thing we can hear. Sometimes, a small chuckle from us or a loud laughter from me will be heard. It was peaceful.
It’s been two days since we went to the amusement park. The memory of Kelleon kissing me in the pinnacle of the Ferris wheel is still fresh in my mind.
Kelleon had kissed me before, a lot of times. But I don’t know why that certain kiss is so special for me that I always blush whenever I think of it. Maybe because we’re in a public place? Or maybe because the place is romantic? Or is it because he said something in Spanish after kissing me?
I tried to search for the translation of what he said, but my memory was so short-term that I forgot some of the words. The only thing I remembered is the phrase ‘te amo’.
Of course, I know what that means. I can’t help but think that he confessed his love for me!
I’m not delusional, right?
I wasn’t able to respond to him after that. The only thing I did was ask him what he said. He just chuckled at me and told me not to think about it.
He just told me that he loves me, but he’s telling me not to think about it?!
I just pretended that I didn’t understand anything he said.
“Madrid is a beautiful place, but there are also a lot of cities in Spain with breathtaking places,” Kelleon commented when the video we are watching is about the ‘places you must visit in Madrid’.
“I can take you to those places if you want, mi amor,” he whispered in my ear.
My eyes twinkled at his statement. I looked up at him with awe visible on my face.
“You will do that?” I asked.
He nodded and caressed my cheeks. “Of course. Just say the word, and we’ll go there.”
I turned my body to face his body and hugged him.
“After we captured Denisse, I want us to go to Spain,” I said and hugged him tighter.
Although the hug was harmless, I felt something become hard underneath my body. I grinned and moved my body side to side to tease him. It even grew harder, and I heard him groan.
“Stop, mi amor,” he said. “Let’s save that for later.”
I looked at him innocently. “Stop what? I’m not doing anything,” I said while slightly moving my body chest up and down on his crotch.
He groaned. He grabbed my shoulders to keep them in place before thrusting his hips. It looks like he’s fucking my breast.
However, the sound of the door opening disturbed us. I hurriedly got up and fixed my shirt which is now slightly wrinkled.
The door revealed Kelleon’s mother and her husband. They walked in my direction when they saw me.
I turned my face to Kelleon and pouted my lips to point to his parents. He stood up and greeted them.
“Mama, Papa,” he said. “Buenas tardes.”
He kissed his parents on the cheek before hugging them. My eyes got teared up just by looking at them.
Just a glance, and I can say that Kelleon is well-loved by his parents, something I haven’t experienced in my entire life. I felt envious somehow, thinking that my life would be complete if I had my own family.
“Good afternoon, ma’am, sir,” I greeted and bowed to them. I don’t know what to do. I want to kiss their hand or ‘magmano’ to them, but I’m not sure if that’s allowed in their culture.
“Good afternoon, hija,” Mrs. Gonzales greeted me. She walked in my direction and hugged me. Mr. Gonzales also did the same, although his hands landed on his wife’s back. It looked like the three of us were having a group hug.
“Oh my god!” Mrs. Gonzales exclaimed. “Are you okay, hija? Does something hurt? Why are you crying?”
I wasn’t able to answer her right away. I wiped my tears away using the back of my hand. Mrs. Gonzales handed me a handkerchief.
When I stopped crying, I apologized immediately. “I’m sorry, ma’am, sir.”
“Oh, you don’t have to apologize, hija. You did nothing wrong,” she said and gave me the sweetest smile I’ve ever seen. “What made you cry, hija?”
I looked down, feeling shy. “I just got emotional, ma’am. This is my first time to be hugged by a parent,” I exclaimed.
She caressed my face, a trait that Kelleon might have gotten to her.
“Call me Mama, hija. And you can call my husband, Killian, Papa,” she said.
My eyes widened. In my whole life, I don’t remember calling anyone like that. I don’t know who my parents were, and no one stood up to be my parent.
I was all alone. I never knew how it felt like to have a family I could lean on when I was sad. The only people I have are my friends.
“Thank you, Mama, Papa,” I said with shaking lips. It’s so new and overwhelming because I’m not used to it, but it felt good.
“You’re now my daughter, okay?” she said and gently pulled me towards the sofa.
She opened her bag and showed me the dresses she saw on Bonifacio Global City.
“I don’t know if you wear dresses, but my son told me that you like collared shirts. So I bought this,” she said and showed me a maroon dress. The top part of it looks like a collared shirt. The middle part of the waist is smaller but stretchable. The lower part is a layered skirt that I think will reach below my knees.
“This is beautiful, Mama,” I commented while holding the dress. “I like this style.”
She clapped her hands. “That’s good! Because I bought the other colors as well!”
She showed me more dresses in the same style but in different colors. There were pink, black, yellow, cream, and many more. Others are in the same color but the sleeves are longer.
“Did you buy all of their stocks, Mama?” Kelleon asked playfully.
“She did,” his father answered.
I can’t count the number of dresses she showed to me. After that, she even showed me the rubber shoes and low heels that she bought for me. I tried on everything, due to her request. The embarrassing part is that she took a picture of me trying every dress and shoes while the men were just watching us.
It took us almost two hours to do that.
“Mama, Papa,” Kelleon called his parents while we were having our snacks. “What brings you here?”Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Oh, right,” Mama said, as if she just remembered it. “Your Papa and I are going back to Spain.”
Kelleon looked surprised when he heard that. “I thought you’re gonna stay here until the end of the month?” he asked.
“We’re supposed to,” she responded and looked to her husband.
“There was an emergency in our business in Spain. We have to go back to check the problem and fix it,” Papa answered.
“Is it worse?” Kelleon asked while putting juice in my glass.
Papa shrugged his shoulders. “We can’t say it for now, but we can’t take it lightly.”
Kelleon sighed. “Please tell me if I can do anything to help.”
“We will, hijo. Don’t worry. We’ll just inform you about the progress.”
Mama and Papa stayed there for a few hours before heading back to their own vacation house. Their flight will be tomorrow so they decided to go home early to prepare.
“Does that usually happen?” I asked Kelleon when we were already getting ready to sleep.
“Which one?” he asked while putting on his sleepwear.
“Emergencies in your company,” I asked. “It’s just suspicious that it happened when your whole family is not in Spain.”
We lay down on the bed. “No. Actually, it’s very seldom for our company to have a problem before.”
“Before?” I asked.
“We encountered a lot of problems after Denisse left.”
I was somehow surprised by that, but I’m sure that there’s a reason behind it.
“Do you think she has a connection to it? Or is it just a coincidence?”
He sighed and touched my hand. “It’s too much to be a coincidence.”
“And I’m thinking that someone might have taken advantage of our company when we’re not there to supervise it.”
I touched his arms. “Do you want to go back to Spain?” I asked.
He gave me a small smile before answering. “There’s no need. Mama and Papa are there to solve it. Besides, they want me to stay here longer.”
I was somehow relieved when he said that. I actually don’t want him to go, but I don’t have the right to stop him.
There was a short silence after that. We were just listening to each other’s breath and heartbeat.
“If Denisse is also behind the shortcomings in our company, then I have to speed up the search. I can’t let her destroy what my family worked hard to build for years,” Kelleon spoke.
I looked up at him with thoughts circling in my mind.
“What made it difficult to seize her is that there’s someone protecting her,” I said.
I cupped his face. “You can’t kill a warior without destroying his armor first. Denisse is untouchable because Alejandro is there to protect her.”
He looked at me in awe. “Are you saying…”
“Yes,” I answered. “If you want to capture Denisse faster, you have to destroy Alejandro first.”
