Mated In Chaos: The Broken Mate

Chapter 43

Elara

I can’t fucking stand River. Her voice, face, and everything about her. River doesn’t seem like prey as she makes it out to Zuriel. Rather, she looks like a predator. A low-life cunning predator ready to do what it takes to get a meal. That meal being my husband! I glare at her on the table. Our eyes meet, and she gives me a polite smile. I don’t reciprocate. It is time to listen to my gut and look into River’s story. I want to know which hospital she was in before she came here and just who found her at the border beaten. I smirk inwardly. I would find out.

After dinner, I get up. I need to go for a walk to clear my head.

‘I’ll take a walk,’ I mumble to Zuriel. He holds my hand,

‘No, it’s late,’ he says. My gaze goes to the arm holding me. I glare at his eyes.

‘I’m not asking you,’ I sneer, yanking my arm out of his grip.

‘I’ll come with you then. I want to get fresh air, too,’

‘Don’t talk to me then,’ I sigh. We head for the door when River skips towards us happily.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

‘Are we going for a night walk? It’s lovely,’ she beams

‘No, you’re not joining us on the walk,’ Zuriel answers harshly. I gape at him. I wasn’t expecting him to say it. Zuriel realizes how harsh he is towards her and closes his eyes momentarily. River’s lips are trembling, ready to cry. I hold Zuriel’s hand and drag him to the elevator with me before he feels guilty for the way he spoke to her. I’m pleased he doesn’t fight me but walks.

‘Serves her right!’ Ara says. We get off the elevator and go out of the building. The air is delightful. I inhale and start to walk. Zuriel is following me silently. We are both at peace with each other.

I don’t know how long we walked but only stopped when his phone rang.

He stops to answer the call. However, no one speaks, only heavy breathing at the end of the line.

‘Hello,’ Zuriel doesn’t show his emotions. The call ends, and he checks the number again.

‘Who called you?’ I ask, concerned. I thought he wouldn’t answer, but does.

‘I don’t know,’ something is worrying in his tone.

‘You’ve got enough air. We should go back now,’ he says suddenly.

‘No, I haven’t-‘

Before I finish my words, he carries me on his shoulder. A yelp of surprise leaves my mouth. Zuriel turns on his heels and heads to the apartment building.

‘We are being watched,’ Ara whispers.

Zuriel’s body goes rigid.

‘Put me down,’ I demand. He walks into the lobby. Once we were there, he put me down.

‘What did you say?’

‘I felt like we were being watched,’ I tell him. He exhales and glances back to the glass door.

‘I didn’t feel anything,’ he murmurs, ‘It must have been your imagination.’

I frown, looking at the elevator. Once we enter and go home. I will see River there. Gosh, she angers me. Zuriel suddenly throws me on his shoulder again. I find myself giggling. He enters the elevator with me still on his shoulder.

‘What are you doing?’ I chuckle.

‘We are from our honeymoon. It is tradition for the husband to carry his wife to the bedroom.’ his voice is so sexy.

‘Bridal style, not like this, barbarian!’

‘Well, as you know, I’m coarser,’ he reminds me. I kiss and bite his shoulder.

‘Teeth!’ he smacks my butt.

The elevator stops, and he steps out. I see River standing by the staircase, and my mood dulls. Zuriel tightened his hold on me and went past her.

River’s mouth is left hanging open. She is shocked. I smirk at her,

‘Oops,’ I giggle. River doesn’t hide her anger as she watches us disappear. I enjoyed seeing the look on her face.

Reaching the bedroom, Zuriel throws me on the bed. I gasp and balance myself on my elbows as I watch him. His eyes are dark. I lick my lips. He hovers over me and leans in to suck my neck. Feeling his closeness makes butterflies bounce in my stomach.

‘Are you mad at me, little Princess?’

‘Boundaries. Have some boundaries with River,’ he doesn’t even protest. He nods and continues to kiss me. His hands roam on my body most sensually.

Zuriel tears the fabric on my body swiftly. My hands rest on his shoulder. At this moment, I feel so connected with my husband. I want more from him. Why do I feel this connection with her when I have a mate? Connor is my mate, yet my feelings for Zuriel are stronger than ever. I tangle my fingers in his long silk hair.

‘I love your hair,’ I whisper, patting it. He is stroking my clit with his fingers, making me wetter for him. His eyes find mine.

‘I like yours,’

He enters my pussy with his finger, and I let out a moan. He continues to finger fuck me. I clutch onto his arms. My hips roll against his fingers fucking me.

‘Fuck, yes,’ I moan.

‘You are a horny pretty little thing, aren’t you?’ he muses.

A smile appears on my lips. I nod proudly.

He enters in and out of me at a quick pace. I’m lamenting his name until I squirt all over his fingers. He gets on his feet and pulls down his pants. His stiff erection is standing tall. He grabs my ankles and pulls me closer to him. His knees are on the bed, and puts my legs over his shoulders. Zuriel enters me slowly and then thrusts deeply into me.
