After laying down the rules, the candidates drew lots to split into groups.
Holding the lot, Yanko came to Fade with a smile and said, "Brother Chen, I'm in the first group. Which group are you in?"
Fade said, "Group three."
Yank chuckled. "That's great. Good thing we aren't in the same group. That way we both get a chance to get in."
"The first group of contestants, prepare to step onto the stage. The competition will begin immediately."

Six people stepped into the ring and the competition began.

Finally, it was time for group three to go up. Fade got ready.
He took a deep breath and entered the ring. He briefly gauged the strength of the other opponents in the ring. Three of the five were Stage 8 of the Soul Refine Realm, while the other two were Stage 9, same as him.
They were all pretty good martial artists, but it was near impossible to defeat Fade. After all, Fade's true combat power could easily win over a Stage 4 Fetus Refine Realm cultivator.
