42• My Selfless Kiddo
When he felt her arms loosen around him, he looked at her over his shoulder and saw she was sleeping. He gripped her hands tightly with one hand while riding the bike with the other. He couldn’t take any risks because he was overprotective of his kiddo and would do anything to keep her safe.
No one had ever shown her the kind of love he did, and he cared deeply for her.
He turned his head and gave a quick kiss on her forehead before returning his attention to the road. She was sleeping peacefully, hugging him without fear of falling, because she knew he was there to protect her always.

In the evening, she woke up and saw Cole doing something on the phone, sitting beside her. She sat up and rested her head on his shoulder with a beatific smile on her face.
“Good evening, my love.” He leaned down and kissed her hair.
“What’s the time?” She raised her head from his shoulder and asked, rubbing her eyes like an adorable baby.
He beamed at her and kissed her cheek. “Seven.” As he told her, her eyes widened in shock.
“What! Did I sleep for two hours? Ethan would be worried about me. Why didn’t you wake me up, Cole?” She freaked out.
“Relax! Like always, I messaged Ethan from your phone that you would be late. And how could I disturb the beauty sleep of my kiddo?” He answered her, clasping her face and gazing deep into her eyes.
“You’re the best boyfriend, Cole. No, no, you’re my perfect boyfriend.” She sat on his lap and hugged him, burying her face in his chest. He smiled broadly, embracing the whole world in his warm arms.
As they pulled away from each other, he cupped her face and captured her lips. She kissed him passionately, playing with his eyebrow ring and running her fingers through his hair.
He held the hem of her top and hastily took it off after breaking the kiss for a second. He squeezed her tits over the fabric of her bra while devouring her lips. She moaned in his mouth, gripping his hair in her fists. He caressed her bare back, and when he was about to unclasp her bra, her phone rang up and disturbed them.
She pushed him away and said, “Cole, it must be Ethan. I have to pick it up.”
“For the first time, I do not like Ethan. Why did he have to call you now?” He whined adorably, and she chuckled, picking up her phone from the table.
“Yes, Ethan.” She answered.
“When are you coming home?”
“I’ll reach home in an hour.”
“Okay, take care.”
“Love you, Ethan.” She disconnected the call.
He wore his shoes and stood up, “come, I’ll drop you.”
She nodded and slipped on her top.
Then he dropped her a few kilometres away from her home and left after giving her a quick goodbye kiss.
She stepped inside and her brows furrowed as she saw Diana sitting in the hall. She was going to her room after ignoring her but stopped after listening to Ethan’s words.
“Where are you going? Diana is waiting for you in the hall.”
“Ask her to come into my room.” She said and dashed to her room.
“What do you want from me now, Diana?” She asked Diana in an angry tone as she entered her room.
“I want to apologise, Reyna, I have realised my mistake.” She uttered, looking at her with her eyes filled with guilt.
“I forgive you, now go.” She averted her eyes, folding her arms across her chest.
“Please, ask Cole also to forgive me because no company is hiring me because of him, and I need the job urgently.” She begged, holding her hands.
“So now I understand, why did you come here? You didn’t come here to apologise, you came here because you needed the job. I still can’t believe that once a girl like you was my friend.” As Reyna rebuked Diana, her eyelashes moved down in shame.
“Don’t worry, I’ll ask Cole not to bother you more because I’m not like you, Diana.” As Reyna said, Diana stared at her in disbelief because she didn’t expect that she would forgive her so easily for her deeds.
“Thank you, Reyna, and I’m so sorry.”
“I don’t want to see your face, Diana. Just go.” She yelled and stood, facing her back to Diana, fuming in anger.
As she left, Reyna called Cole.

“Could you come to meet me?” She directly asked him to meet her.
“I just left you, and you have already started missing me, Baby.” He asked, grinning.
“I want to talk to you.” As he heard her serious tone, his smile disappeared.
“Okay, I’m just coming.”
After reaching her place in no time, he entered her room through the window and found her roaming across the room.
“What happened, Kiddo?” He asked her concernedly after coming in front of her.
“Diana came to meet me.” As she told him, a frown appeared on his face.
“That bitch.” He muttered under his breath.
“She told me that no company is hiring her because of you. Why are you doing this, Cole?”
“Seriously, you have no idea why I’m doing this? You’ve been through so much because of her; she deserved this.” As he spoke, his eyes and voice filled with venom for Diana.
“But we’re nobody to punish her, Cole. She did wrong to us, and if we also do wrong to her, then we’ll also become like her. Please don’t punish her more.” She explained to him, and he stared at her in disbelief.
“How can a person be so selfless?” How come you always put others before yourself?” Incredulously, he inquired. He’d never met a selfless woman like her in his life; she was unique, and that’s why he adored her the most.
“I just don’t want anybody to get hurt because of me, Cole. Please, for me, forgive her.” She requested, and he felt so blessed to have a woman with such a pure soul in her life.
“Okay, anything for you, Reyna.” He clasped her face and kissed her forehead.
“I love you.” She confessed before standing on her toes and kissing him chastely and lovingly. He kissed her back with equal love, grabbing her waist and pulling her closer. They were pouring their hearts out with this kiss. For both of them, their lips were heaven on earth.
