Chapter 18 Marriage Was Not Child's Play
Chapter 18 Marriage Was Not Child's Play
"Liam, it's not safe like this. Don't do this in the future, okay?" Seeing that half of his body was sticking
out of the car window, Eva was a little scared and rushed to stop him.
Caleb just sat in the car. He had no intention of stopping William.
Seeing Eva, William seemed to be a different person. He was quiet and obedient. There was nothing
strange about him. Eva smiled and greeted Caleb, "Hello, Mr. Livingstone. Thank you for coming and
picking me up. Actually, I can go back myself."
Caleb looked at Eva, who was dressed in a dress and had exquisite makeup. There was a trace of
amazement in his eyes. He had seen Eva in all kinds of states before, but he had never seen her so
radiant. If she wanted to, she would definitely become a calamitous beauty like Cleopatra.
"You're welcome" Caleb nodded gently.
"Hmm!" Seeing the two of them chatting and completely ignoring him, William stretched out his hand
and made a soft sound, indicating that Eva should hug him.
Eva's mouth was faster than her brain. She directly said, "Liam, have you lost your voice?"
Caleb looked at Eva silently.
"Uh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." Eva quickly apologized.
"Nathan didn't tell you? Liam just doesn't want to speak. It's not that he can't speak." Caleb explained.
Eva quickly responded, "He told me. It's just that I have a bad memory and forgot it."
"You do have a bad memory." Caleb nodded seriously.
It made Eva, who was originally looking for an excuse to change the topic, a little confused! Her
memory was clearly very good, okay!
Eva forcibly changed the topic to chat with William, trying to shield herself from Caleb, the big
refrigerator.
Because of William's relationship, the person Eva had seen the most in the past two days was Caleb.
Slowly, she was no longer so afraid of Caleb. She could allow herself to ignore Caleb, who had been
unleashing his indifference, and chat with William easily and comfortably.
Eva had been thinking about what Caleb had said last night. She had thought that they would not meet
again so soon, so she still had the mentality of letting things go. But now, William was making a fuss
about coming to her from time to time, leaving her no way to escape Caleb and the questions he
raised.
Because she was the one who saved William in the dark storage room of the bar, William relied on her
extraordinarily. Before William completely came out of that shock, she probably had to see Caleb many
times. Just thinking about it gave her a headache.
The car quickly arrived at Rosenfeld Hill. Eva carried William into the living room with a calm look on
her face, despite the strange looks of the servants. Because of William's specialty, there were only five
servants on Rosenfeld Hill's side. Other than when they had to appear, they would hide in their own
rooms to lower their presence.
In this family, other than the two brothers, Caleb and Nathan, only Graham could hold William. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
The housekeeper who went out to welcome William was a little surprised to see William obediently
lying in Eva's arms.
The person who was even more surprised was Graham. His mouth was so wide open that it could have
fit an egg.
"Mr. Livingstone, who is this?" Graham had been waiting for them in the villa. Nathan had not finished
work yet, so no one came to help him answer his questions.
"Hello, I am Eva Sommers." Eva introduced herself.
"Hello, I am Liam's psychologist, Graham Bexley." Graham responded politely. He just looked at Eva
thoughtfully, especially when William was nestled in Eva's arms and did not let Graham hug him.
"Doctor Bexley, you can go back first. I will take Liam there personally next week." Caleb nodded to
Graham.
Graham suppressed the raging waves in his heart and bid farewell to the crowd without revealing
anything.
William liked quiet, and Eva also had things to do. So the two of them held a book each and looked at it
in the living room. They did not disturb each other. Caleb looked at such a warm scene and returned to
the study to continue working.
After dinner, Eva coaxed William to sleep and asked Caleb to leave.
"Miss Sommers, have you still not considered my proposal?" Caleb sat behind the desk and looked up
slightly at Eva. But even so, the pressure around him was still very strong and did not weaken.
Eva looked distressed. "Mr. Livingstone, I know you love Liam very much, but marriage is no child's
play."
"Of course, I am very serious."
"Then do you know me, Mr. Livingstone? We have only known each other for a few days." Eva
continued to persuade him.
Caleb closed the document and replied, "We have a lifetime to get to know each other."
Eva did not expect that Caleb, the famous big gay rumored in the community, would actually say such
things so eloquently. It simply overturned her world view!
Helplessly, she took out her trump card. "I don't believe in feelings. I'm not getting married."
"Miss Sommers, please stay here now. After a while, you will change your mind." Caleb said with
certainty.
"I will not change my mind. Why don't you give me five million now? I want money." Eva said angrily.
Caleb did not even frown. "I will let Luke transfer the money to you tomorrow. But now, Liam needs
your company because you saved him in the bar storage room. He is very dependent on you now, so I
hope you can think about it carefully."
"Even if he needs me badly, I can't marry you like this." Eva was angry.
"Then stay here first. When Liam gets better, I'll respect your choice if you still stick to your current
one." Caleb said.
If Nathan were here, he would definitely admire his brother from the bottom of his heart. He shouldn't
have laughed at his brother before for not being able to flirt with girls. Now it seemed that his brother
was clearly good at it.
After that, no matter what Eva said, Caleb didn't listen. His response was extremely perfunctory. When
Eva was thirsty, the butler came over and knocked on the door of the study.
"Young Master, the guest room is ready." The butler reported respectfully.
Only then did Caleb look up from the document again and say, "Bring Miss Sommers over. If you need
anything, you can tell the butler."
Eva, who failed to resist, could only stay in Rosenfeld Hill. Fortunately, the crew had not started filming
in the last few days. She did not have to run around. Therefore, she stayed at home and read her
books with William. At night, she waited for Caleb to go home and have dinner with him.
Nathan came back once but was driven away by Caleb. So he moved back to the old house.
Eva lived a leisurely life in Rosenfeld Hill. She was isolated from the world, and did not know what
happened outside at all.
