Loved by the twin alphas (Alexia Miles and Michael)

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

It was finally the end of school for the day, and Alexia slowly trudged behind the crowd rushing down the hallway. She could understand why anyone would want to leave this hellhole disguised as a school, but what she could not understand, is why they all seemed so eager to go home.

Her home was another nightmare. She was constantly reminded of what a failure she was, but then again, everyone was not

her.

Sighing softly, she shrank deeper into her hoodie, clutching her bag tighter as she moved forward. A group of jocks barreled from behind, headed for the parking lot where most of the students were heading to as well, yelling and being as loud as possible.

“Fuck it, we’re going to miss the games!”

“Hell no, not on my watch! Fucking get out of our way!”

They were shoving their way through the crowd to get outside the building as fast as possible. Alexia instinctively moved away from their voices, trying to give as much space as possible so they could pass through.

But it was worthless. One of the jocks grabbed her arm and shoved her to the side so hard, she lost her balance and slammed into the wall sideways. And so hard, her breath left her instantly. She gasped in pain, almost tripping to the floor.

“Are you deaf, freak? Get out of the fucking way!”

A male voice yelled at her, making her flinch.

Another voice added spitefully,

“You should have pushed her harder, breaking a bone or two. Wonder why she fucking attends the same school as us when she can’t even protect herself. Weak little bitch.”

Alexia was too scared to look up at them, she just stayed trembling against the wall, staring at her feet. Thankfully, another one of the jocks who sounded like he could not waste a second on her, called out,

“There’s no fucking time for that now, guys. Let’s go or I’m fucking taking the car leaving your asses!”

“Yo, wait up, man!”

They turned and hurried off, leaving Alexia sagging with deepfelt relief. When their pounding footsteps retreated, she straightened back up and massaged her arm which took the hit against the wall. It throbbed slightly, but it was something that would stop to hurt in an hour or so.

She continued on her way till she was outside. As if her troubles were not enough, she came face to face with Kayla and a group of three girls while they chattered and sashayed towards the parking lot. Her and her sister’s eyes met, and they all went quiet.

Alexia tried to turn away and walk in another direction, but Kayla stepped in front of her, titling her head sideways with a taunting smile,

“Are you done crying yet, Alexia? Or do you need me to give you something more to cry about?”

Her voice was timid when she responded,

“Just leave me alone, Kayla.”

Kayla’s friends sniggered among themselves, exchanging comments on how weak, miserable and pathetic Alexia sounded.

She ignored them and try to walk away again, but Kayla blocked her.

The smile on her face grew bigger,

“Sure, I’ll leave you alone to walk home as usual, sister. I know you have always smelled hard, but I do hope your hair does not smell even worse from the soda.”

Kayla giggled and walked away, followed by her laughing minions. Alexia closed her eyes, sucked in a deep breath, and continued walking. She had not even gone five steps when there was a screech of tires behind her, and Kayla’s car zoomed past, in a cloud of dust and almost running her over.

In a surge of fear, Alexia skidded sideways, gasping, while laughter echoed from the car. Kayla stuck her head out, hair flying in the wind while she yelled, Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“I could have smashed your legs, freak! You might not get so lucky next time!”

Her head went back in and she stepped up on the accelerator, making the tires spin and lurch the car forward. Leaving Alexia standing and coughing in a cloud of dust and white tire smoke.

She waved her hand in front of her face, walking forward till the dust cleared up and she could breathe clearly again. This was not the first time of her being left stranded at school by her sister, so she had eventually fashioned out a route which she could take home.

And that was the route she was taking now. It would take her longer to get home, than if she was in a car, but at least it was quiet, and she could have enough time to her own thoughts without

interruptions from anyone.

As she turned into a path that led through the woods, she inhaled the scent of nature, smiling slightly to herself, but then, she heard a rustle come from somewhere behind her.

Her peaceful walk was ruined by sudden fear when she looked back at the deserted path and did not see anything. Only the huge, dark woods loomed at either side of her. Her green eyes looked around, but after finding nothing, she assumed that it was nothing.

So she turned back forward and continued on her way, only to hear a deep, dark and dangerous growl that seemed to rip through the heart of the woods to strike terror into the most hidden part of her soul.

Alexia froze, eyes going wide in shock and fear. What in the world was that, She panicked, as more rustles came from behind her.

The growl got even more deadly, and she stumbled around, only to see a large, monstrous looking wolf with glistening dark fur stepping out of the woods with it’s devilish fangs beared at her. Her mouth dropped, as it stalked closer, it’s strong, muscled form rippling as it got closer, silver eyes filled with every intention of attacking.

Her mind was wiped clean of all sanity, as primal fear rippling through her. And she screamed, turning around to run down the path. Running away from such a large wolf was a bad idea, but she had no other option, anywhere was safe from something like that.

Especially if she had no way of defending herself.

She heard the bloodthirsty growls getting closer and closer from behind her as it chased after her. It was so close behind that she could almost feel it’s sharp fangs in her neck.

She was screaming, running and glancing back so much, that she almost didn’t see the tall, broad and dark figure that suddenly stepped out of the woods to block the path in front of her. The sudden and calculative appearance of the figure startled the hell out of her, and she let out a screech and tried to change directions, but tripped against a fallen log.

She crashed into the tangle of leaves and plants on the side of the path, and the large black wolf pounced on her, ready to maul her to death.

“No, please! Help! Someone help!”

She shrieked at the top of her lungs, desperately trying to get away, but the wolf had pinned her down with it’s large, sharp claws almost digging into her neck. But then, in her haze of fear, she had realized that the wolf had paused.

Even it’s terrifying growls had ceased.

It’s weight was pressing her down, and now that it was right on top of her, she had realized just how massive the wolf was. The biggest wolf she had ever seen in her life. And now, it was about to kill her.

Only, she should be dead by now if it really wanted to kill her, like it wanted a few seconds ago.

But now, as she panted heavily, trembling in fright, she could see the silver eyes staring intently at her from that mass of glistening black fur. Then, the most unexpected thing happened.

The wolf moved back, away from her. It still loomed threateningly by her, but her frightened eyes flew to the left when she heard strong footsteps pounding towards her.

“Why the fuck did you stop. Miles? Kill that rogue. Or fuck it, I’ll end her myself.”

It was a male voice, that was so deep that it gave Alexia shivers right there. Asides from the danger, ruthlessness and raw masculinity in that voice, her heart dropped in abject dread, because she knew that whoever it was… he was coming to kill her.

He sounded so bloodthirsty that she could feel her own pulse almost explode in fear.

She scrambled up to her elbows, trying to get into a kneeling position to beg for her life, but a growl from the wolf froze her in place. That was when her desperate eyes fell on the man approaching her with every intention to end her life.

He was like a tower of flesh and muscle, broad and stallion–like, messy dark hair, bronze skin, and a ruthless expression on his chiselled face. An archangel of death. But what scared her the most?

His beautiful golden eyes, that struck primal fear right into her soul.
