Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 16

After packing up the documents and turning off the computer, Nancy quickly grabbed her bag and stood up.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, the electric light suddenly went out, the space was engulfed in black.

She quickly searched for her phone, but couldn’t find it.

There were very close footsteps walking down the hallway, the light from that direction was enough for Nancy to recognize a tall figure.

She was scared and quickly groped back into the room. Unfortunately, she couldn’t see anything so she bumped into the edge of the desk and fell.

A few seconds later, the light from the phone shined directly on her scared and painful face.

“Are you okay?”

Dylan quickly ran to Nancy’s side and helped her up, his face showing concern.

She clung to him, trying to get up, her left wrist and leg were both in pain, seemingly unable to walk anymore.

At this moment, the building suddenly lit up again, causing her to shyly let go of Dylan and step back slightly.

He bent down to pick up her bag and suddenly lifted her in his arms.

“Mr. Dylan, what are you doing?” She widened her eyes in surprise.

“Your leg must be sprained, let me help.”

He carried her to the elevator door. She understood and reached out to press the button.

Looking at the girl’s face, which was now contorted in pain, he felt that she was extremely adorable, and he was also heartbroken. This girl looks a lot fatter compared to seven years ago.

The car drove straight to a specialized clinic, the doctor adjusted her arms and legs, and after bandaging, turned to Dylan to give instructions.

“Your wife’s arms and legs are all sprained, so she will have to limit her movements for the next few days.”

“I know, thank you, doctor.”

Nancy intended to explain, but the way Dylan responded was like tacitly admitting to the doctor that she was his wife.

So she ignored it, thinking that she didn’t know him at all, so even if he misunderstood, it wouldn’t matter.

“Let’s go somewhere for dinner.” Dylan turned to Nancy and suggested as soon as he finished fastening his seat belt.

“Okay.” She smiled and agreed.

Both of them continued towards the main road. While driving past the huge mansion located right in the center, Dylan conveniently pointed out to Nancy that it was the home of star Daniel, who played the main role in the script she edited herself.

Inside the mansion, the man was swinging on a swing under the canopy of an Indian oak tree when he suddenly sneezed several times.

Daniel silently cursed and wondered who mentioned his name at this hour. He is the heir of Emery, the banking tycoon.

Although he was passionate about acting, because he followed his father’s wishes, he studied at two universities at the same time.

The day he held a master’s degree in banking and finance, Emery agreed to let him enter the entertainment industry to satisfy his passion.

But Emery said that one year before he leaves the chairmanship, Daniel must return to take over the bank.

During the years studying together at the Academy of Theater and Cinema, he fell in love with the beauty Rosalind and has always been like that until now.

When the two of them worked together in the movie Bright Moonlight, it was the happiest time for him because he could see and be close to Rosalind more.

Everyone in the film crew speculated that they loved each other because their acting was so compatible.

However, when the movie just finished filming, even having a dinner date together was extremely difficult.

Thinking for a long time, his fingers found the number he had memorized and pressed the call button.

“Rosalind, it’s me, let’s meet tomorrow and have a meal together.”

“I have to shoot a commercial tomorrow, I’m very busy.” Rosalind’s voice seemed uncomfortable.

“What about the day after tomorrow?”

“My schedule this month is full.”

“Rosalind, you shouldn’t refuse me forever like that, what happened before…”

“Daniel, are you threatening me?”

“No, but I also have my limits.”

“Then please text me the address tomorrow when you arrive.”

Rosalind’s thin, white hand gripped the phone tightly, and soon blue veins appeared. Daniel used old stories to threaten her again.

If she knew it wouldn’t change anything, she wouldn’t have done it. Over the years, the shadow of sin still surrounds her every night.

Rushing to the wine cabinet, she took out a bottle of wine. Her hand trembled, causing the red liquid to flow into the glass and scatter all over the table.

She drank half a bottle of wine in a row, tears falling from her eyes. That black mark she never wants anyone else to know about.

Alisa came home late again today because she was busy negotiating advertising contracts. In the large and luxurious house, there was only the sound of Rosalind’s cries.

The darkness is sometimes the obsession of one person but brings happiness to another, and that happy person is Dylan.

Today, he continued to eat at the same table with Nancy, so he was very happy.

When the car arrived at the gate of the house, Dylan stopped and turned to look at Nancy, who was already dozing off.

Just now, after eating, she took the medicine that Stephen bought for her at noon and took it, so she fell asleep, and Dylan deliberately drove around to make the road farther.

Looking at her chubby face like the moonlight on a full moon night, he couldn’t control his emotions, so he gently approached her and kissed her on her forehead. His lovesick eyes sparkled with a happy smile.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Mr. Dylan.” Nancy suddenly woke up. She was surprised to see the man’s face at a close distance.

“Ah, I wanted to wake you up, but you were sleeping too soundly.” Dylan was a little confused.

“Probably because of the cold medicine.” Nancy shyly blamed cold medicine.

“Give me the key.” He put his hand out in front of her and said gently.
