Chapter 609 Did You Think I Was Flirting With You

It was quite a normal thing for all products of the AJ Group to bear the logo that had the words "An

Jing" on it.

And since the AJ Group was synonymous with high quality, it was only a given for Terence, as its CEO,

to always use products that had been manufactured by the company.

At that moment, Carla and Zora noticed that they were near a tent after walking for a considerable

amount of time.

Suddenly, Zora felt drawn to the tent when she saw so many products inside with the company's logo

on them.

In a second, she turned to Carla and said, "Carla, please wait a moment. I want to go and say 'Hi'."

Then, she looked straight at the tent and the Range Rover Evoque beside it, only a few meters away

from where they were standing.

"Well ... " Carla tried to respond but before she could do so, Zora was already within out of earshot.

Zora thought that the tent owner must be portentous.

When she was abroad, she had been active and outgoing so without an ounce of hesitation, she

walked towards the tent with eagerness and enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, Rainer was about to follow Zora and rush over to the tent when Carla promptly stopped

him.

She then beckoned him not to say anything.

She wanted to see how Zora would "say hi" to Terence.

The curtain of the tent was open to allow more light inside.

Terence was busy typing on his laptop. His work had been piling up as he had been away from his

office for the past few days.

So whenever he had the time, he would do as much work as he could.

In no time, Terence felt that someone was approaching him. At first, he thought that it was Carla.

Because he was aware that she was nearby the area.

However, when he looked up, he found a strange woman with an ardent smile on her face.

Zora was about to greet him, but when she saw his face, she froze and suddenly, she forgot what to

say.

The man in front of her looked like he was so focused on doing his job. But it wasn't what caught her off

guard. His profile was handsome with a defined nose bridge and bushy eyebrows. When he looked at

her, his eyes were as gentle as the stars. So for a moment, Zora was just fascinated by his beautiful

eyes.

Astonished by his handsome features, Zora didn't notice that this man actually looked familiar to her.

But that feeling was over in a second.

Zora greeted, "Hello, Sir! You work for AJ Group, right?"

When she walked in the tent, she noticed that a lot of the devices inside were made by the AJ Group.

The documents on the desk was also emblazoned with "An Jing" on the letterhead.

Terence lifted his eyebrows and replied, "That's right.

Is there anything I can help you with?"

Zora approached him closer and warmly said, "Oh, is that so? You really work for AJ Group as well? So

do I! I'm in the French subsidiary.

Where are you designated?"

Terence replied briefly, "Headquarters."

He then glanced at Carla who was just outside the tent. She had her arms crossed with a small smile

on her face.

Zora said, "Really? It's very hard to get through to the headquarters, though. I've applied several times

but to no avail, I just kept being rejected." She then pointed at the vacant seat and asked, "May I sit

here?"

Before responding, Terence turned to look at Carla with a questioning look. In response, Carla just

shrugged her shoulders. She felt that since Zora was just returning from abroad, she was very brave

and upfront, making it hard for others to say no to her.

Terence then turned to Zora and nodded his head as a response.

After seeing Carla, he figured out that this woman might be Carla's friend.

"Thank you." Zora then smiled and sat down.

Carla also approached the tent and when she was about to sit beside Terence on the folding chair, she

heard Zora's voice.

"This is my friend. I hope you don't mind us being in here."

Terence lifted his eyebrows again, squinted, and looked at Carla with another questioning look.

Carla could only press on her forehead discreetly while she coughed involuntarily.

She meant to sit down naturally, but with an introduction like that, she didn't know what to do next.

Carla looked around and found only two chairs in the tent. Terence had been sitting on the long folding

chair and Zora just sat on the small one.

With this in mind, she sat beside Terence in spite of a little hesitation.

After all, she didn't really want to stand any longer.

It would be really strange and awkward too!

Zora spared Carla one look of disdain when she saw Carla sit on the folding chair.

Because it was impolite to sit on a folding chair, more especially a lounge chair, without the permission

of the owner.

Zora thought that if Carla really wanted to sit there, she should at least ask Terence first.

But then Zora thought of something, pulled out her business card, placed that card on the desk and

said, "Well, here is my card. My name is Zora Yu. What a surprise that we work for the same company.

Maybe in the future, there would be an opportunity for us to meet again."

At this moment, Rainer entered the tent with a cup of tea on each of his hands.

He gave one cup to Zora.

Zora took that cup gratefully and said, "Thank you very much for this tea."

Then, Rainer gave the other cup to Carla.

Carla looked at Rainer and wondered whether she should say thanks as well.

She was too familiar with Rainer and had gotten used to his service to say thanks.

After all, that was primarily Rainer's everyday work, so if she said "thanks" every single time, she would

have to say a dozen thanks to Rainer every day.

Even if she would be willing to do just that, she knew that Rainer would get a little annoyed.

So she just silently took the tea.

Zora shook her head again and thought that Carla was being so impolite and rude.

She started to regret introducing Carla as her friend. She thought that her improper behavior would

also be a reflection of her and therefore affect her.

Carla noticed Zora's expression and wondered whether Zora was a little disappointed in her. She was

so preoccupied that she didn't notice that the tea was hot.

She took one sip of the tea and spat it out immediately.

Carla then thought to herself, 'Oh my god! What am I doing? This is so humiliating!'

Zora placed her hand across her face and felt extremely ashamed for Carla.

Terence immediately took a napkin and wiped Carla's face. He then said, "Be careful. Didn't you notice

that the tea was hot?"

Carla smiled in embarrassment and said, "Sorry about your shirt." She then attempted to wipe his shirt

with her bare hands.

Terence responded in a low voice, "It doesn't matter."

Suddenly, Carla's wrist was held and pulled, forcing her to stand up away from Terence. Zora said,

'Carla, we'd better leave now. We shouldn't disturb him any further."

Zora felt that they couldn't stay in the tent any longer. She thought to herself, 'What the hell is wrong

with Carla? Didn't I tell her to wait for me outside the tent? Why did she come in just like that?

She even dared to flirt with this gentleman! Did she forget that she's married and has a daughter?'

"Disturb him? No, we're not disturbing him.

Zora, let me explain it to you."

Carla calmly tried to clarify. Even if Terrence was bothered, it was Zora who entered his tent in the first

place.

But before Carla could say anything more, she was roughly pulled out of the tent by Zora.

When they were a few feet away from the tent, Zora turned to Carla and exclaimed, "Carla Ji, how

could you do that? Your father was a teacher but why are you so impolite?"

Carla pointed at herself in confusion. She wondered if Zora was really talking to her. She was quite

speechless for a few moments before she could say, "What are you talking about, Zora? What did I

do?"

Zora quickly replied, "I told you to wait outside. Why did you follow me and enter the tent? And you

didn't say thanks when you were clearly supposed to. Even though you didn't know what to do, you Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

could have learned from me at that moment and just followed what I did. Why didn't you?"

"I..."

Zora gave her no chance to speak and continued, "Besides, you're married and have a child. Why did

you flirt with that guy? Have you forgotten that you're someone's wife already?"

Zora shook her head and looked at Carla with so much disappointment.

In fact, Zora had just wanted to leave a good impression on "that guy". After all, in her knowledge, they

just simply worked for the same company and she might need his help in the future.

When she heard those words, Carla couldn't take it anymore and she started to laugh really loud.

She said, "Zora, you have it all wrong. I meant to explain this to you earlier but you didn't give me the

chance."

Carla then turned to Rainer and asked, "Rainer, did you think I was being impolite to you?"

Rainer immediately shook his head and responded, "No, Mrs. Carla. Not at all."

He thought that Carla had always been nice and polite to him.

He too thought that it was unnecessary to say thanks for a simple cup of tea.

Carla then nodded to Rainer. In an attempt to further prove her point, she turned towards the direction

of the tent and called out, "Dear husband, did you think I was flirting with you?"
