Let’s Rewrite Our Love Story, Ms Summer Frost

CHAPTER 16

CHAPTER 16

Summer Frost POV

“Are you ok, ma’am?” I looked back and saw Chloe who had just walked into the balcony of my room.

“I knocked on your door and came in when you didn’t answer me.” She explained to me as she came to stand in front of me after I turned to face her.

“Hmm… I’m here, getting fresh air,” I replied to her briefly, and she nodded.

“Mr. Hunter is here to see you,” My jaw dropped to the ground when she broke the news to me, and I bit my bottom lip. My mind had been messed up and Hunter was the last person I wanted to see.

“I’ll join him shortly. You may leave now,” She bowed slightly then turned and walked away. I breathed out sadly. I had been living in my house for two days as I needed some time alone, but that jerk had to find me here. Gosh! It’s so annoying. NôvelDrama.Org © content.

His familiar cologne welcomed me into the living room minutes later, and there he was, seated gracefully on my couch. He looked at me and smiled as

soon as I walked inside.

“Hi!” He rose to his feet and smiled again.

“Hmm… Hi!” I sat on the couch in front of him.

“You didn’t tell me you were coming here. Is there a problem?” Even though I knew I was being rude, I couldn’t still control it. I felt so homble just at the thought of us getting married in the future. That doesn’t make any sense, but who am I to make decisions for myself?

“Not really. I wanted to surprise you,” He shrugged.

“I don’t like surprises,” Well, that’s a lie. A big one at that. I’ve always been a freak when it comes to surprises. Xander had surprised me several times while we were still together then, and I loved it each time he did that. It always made me feel loved, maybe I felt this way because it was coming from a man I had no feelings for.

“Why the fuck are you thinking about Xander?” I scolded myself mentally as I quickly pushed the thoughts oft

“How are the kids?” I found his question dumb because it’s obvious that they’ve gone to school, so?

“They’re in school,” I replied to him, regardless.

“I was busy inside when you came. If there is no actual reason you came by, I think we should see each other some other time. I still have something to do inside,” I stood up and adjusted my clothes.

“Are you avoiding me, Summer?” He stood up too and tucked his hands inside his pockets

“You can’t keep doing this to me, please. It’s been three days since I last saw you. Why are you discarding me…

“I’m not discarding you, Hunter. I’m busy…”

“No, you’re not. You don’t just want to see me. I think it’s fair enough to say that,” His voice sounded hurt, but who cares? Definitely not me.

“Excuse me,” ignored him and was going to leave quietly, but he held my hand and pulled me back.

“I love you, Summer. Give us a chance to make, this work. You will learn to love me, and it’s fine even if you don’t. My love is enough for us. I will treat you

입니다

right,” His voice was filled with emotions, but sadly, I felt nothing for him. I wasn’t moved an Inch.

“I don’t love you, Hunter. Nothing is ever going to happen between us. I won’t ever love you…” I yanked his hand off and stepped away from him.

“Do not show up at my house uninvited in the future, I won’t hesitate to take it out on you if this happens again,” I was harsh on him, but what other waju was I supposed to handle this? Dad would be mad at me if he found out about the way I treated Hunter, but it was difficult to deal with. The thought the chance of us getting married in the future was killing me.

I left him in the living room and left for my room afterward.

My phone beeped as soon as I walked inside my room, and I checked to see a text from Miguel.

“Ma’am, are you coming to check out the site, or should I go alone?‘

‘Send me a video of the place when you get there. I don’t think I’ll be able to make it there I tossed my phone on the bed after I replied to his text, and sank into my bed.

My eyes brimmed with tears as I stared up at the ceiling, many thoughts running through my mind. This whole thing would’ve been avoided if Xander hadn’t thrown me out that night. My life wouldn’t have turned out this messy if he hadn’t accused me of cheating

The sound of my ringing phone disrupted my thoughts. I wiped my tears and hesitantly swiped the answer button as it was a strange number that had called me.

“Who is this?” I held the phone to my ear, waiting for whoever the caller was to say something

“I’m at your house. Meet me outside,” Xander’s familiar voice sounded from the other end, and I had to check my phone to be sure, forgetting that his number wasn’t saved on my phone.

“Are you there?” His voice came on again, and i huffed. What makes him think that I will go meet him?

“I’m coming inside if you are not going to say something.”

“Summ…” I disconnected the call and dropped my phone on the bed.

I was going to ignore him, but something kept pushing me to go see him. Why? Maybe I just missed him and wanted to see him. Maybe it make me feel better if I see him, who knows?

I was stunned when I got to the living room and saw Hunter still sitting there.

“Hunter?” I called surprisingly as I slowed my pace until I stopped on my track. Why is he still here?
