I Died in The Deep Sea for My Sister's Dream Novel by Summer Firefly

Chapter 6

Even in tough times, my sister couldn’t change her extravagant nature; she would steal things. and then find a way to sell them.

I had exposed her before, but as soon as she shed a few tears, Mom would lose all rationality, only knowing how to dote on her precious daughter.

But Mother, am I not your daughter too?

Perhaps it was a fleeting glimpse before death; I sat there alone, listening to Mom’s familiar curses, while many things rushed past my eyes.

The once blurred memories gradually sharpened.

That day, it seemed I wasn’t the one who was sick!

However, many details still needed to be refined, and I could never reveal the truth to Mom.

“This little brat thinks that after stealing so much, she can spread her wings and fly away!”NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Mom exclaimed, unhesitatingly picking up her phone and dialing the police with the shattered screen.

By the time she finished voicing all her demands, Evie’s face had paled considerably.

She knew that once the police got involved, the truth would inevitably come to light!

“Mom, maybe Sister was just momentarily blinded by greed. How can you call the police? Aren’t we family?”

Evie no longer cared about pretending to be lovey–dovey with Eric; she tugged at Mother, hoping she would reconsider this reckless decision.

“If this brat won’t come out, we’ll make her! Don’t worry, I have a plan. I’ll make sure she comes to you and apologizes!”

But Mother tightened her grip on Evie’s hand, resolutely spitting out those words.

Such a stance left Evie with no excuses to argue, her gaze darting anxiously toward the distance, her concern evident.

With Mother providing detailed leads, the investigation progressed quickly, faster than we had anticipated.

By the next day, someone had come knocking.

The police held a string of surveillance videos. A woman, carefully obscured by a wide–brimmed hat, cautiously exited the hotel and made her way to a secondhand resale market.

Her golden hair, though only faintly visible, still shone dazzlingly in the sunlight.

This had once been Evie’s greatest pride, but now it became the most damning evidence against her!

“How could it be you?” Mother aged visibly in an instant, her face etched with heartbreak as she looked at Evie.

Meanwhile, the video continued to play, showing Evie intimately leaning toward another man and giving him a passionate kiss. The two entered a nearby hotel, and what was likely to happen next was all too obvious.
