Her, To Home

Chapter 28

Of course, that was a lie. He had actually taken 5-month course of hair styling and nail painting this year. Since he knew he would be going back sooner or later, he started taking classed from one of his members sister who taught these things. Since he was paying extra, she had actually given him private lessons four times a week. He actually had some styled wigs somewhere in his office.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

He liked dark shades on O’Brian so he selected the electric blue nail color and took back his seat beside her feet. Pulling her feet to his lap, he carefully and slowly started painting her nails. O’Brian had raised herself to watch how he would be doing and her gaze on him assured him that he was forgiven.

Being done with her last toe, he leaned down and kiss her feet, patting them softly.

“All done.”

He watched as she leaned down to actually look at his work and then nod in satisfaction, a grin brightening up her face.

“Good job, now my hands.” She pushed her hands in front of him while giving him that breathtaking cheeky grin while he replied with a smile as he grabbed her hands and kissed them and started painting them as well.

He took his time while painting her fingers, trying to lengthen what little he had left with her for the day. He didn’t want to leave and he knew he couldn’t stay. Last week had been torture enough for his body and he didn’t trust himself to stay sane. And this was something he had promised himself when he was coming back. If the time comes when he didn’t trust himself, he will turn his head. And that meant in every way, whether it was his gaze which was too loud for her to bear or her touch which was too rough for her to feel. He took no compromises when it came to how she felt about him, he was ready to give her all the time she needed to insanely fall in love with him.

But also accept his love, his way of being intimate. Though he was going insane with lust for her, he held her with the highest respect that meant her words were god to him. If she said no, he wasn’t allowed to ask why and if she said yes, he had no reason to doubt her.

He was already dreading going back in the room where the dead body of that spider still existed because knowing Drake, that asshole would never go near any insect, period. That mere fact that he had left them for dead while holding a gun should explain everything about the kind of chicken he was. And now, just imagining sleeping without her was pure punishment so he miserably clings to the little time he had before her brother kicked him out of her room.

He felt her fingers brush his hair which made him pause his actions and look at her. She had her head placed over her knees as she watched him with eyes molded in adorned. It startled him for a second, taking away the air from his lungs as he watched such raw love in her eyes from him. His throat tighten he actually believed that he might cry watching something he believed could only be possible in a dream or far reality which still had years to come.

Watching as her eyes twirled in almost worship as she gazes at him, he was week to his knees and was actually glad he was sitting down because he felt the numbness took over his whole body. He knew he worshiped her, with his every action, every word he believed her to be his god, his religion but watching her reflect the same eyes, the same depth was overwhelming. Though he doubts it was like his, which was filled with jealousy, possessiveness and obsession, he believed hers was much pure almost innocent.

If his love for her was dark and black, she loved him in brighten shimmer.

“What are you looking at?” He finally choked out.

She smiled softly and said, “Just think how much I am in love with the you who is in love with me.”

He laughed and replied, “But baby, I was always in love with you.”

“I know, this is why I promise you my love till you cease to exist in any form and shape.”

The smile from his face vanished as his throat once again chocked up, this time he eyes actually watered he furiously blinked to dry the tears which were warning to fall. His pride which he carried over his head about how he would make her his, about how confident he was about how she will belong to him was crumbling down in pieces, had been in pieces since forever. He knew the kind of man he was, knew his wrongs, accepted his ugly but he knew that the day Sara O’Brian became his, he would be grateful. He had never asked for her in his dreams, never begged to some mighty being to have ownership over his heart but he knew, he knew how discouraged he had been. Those two years he had stayed away have been painful, almost hopeless. He had been so afraid that she would fall in love with someone. Though he could stop other from approaching her, falling in love with her- he couldn’t stop her from falling in love with someone else. He had feared that he wouldn’t have wanted to live if O’Brian had fallen for someone else.

“I love you, O’ Brian. Thank you for becoming mine.” He choked out, refusing to meet her eyes in case she sees him crying.

His head was pushed up by her hands which were holding his head preciously in their embrace. A brush of lips landed on his as she whispered, “Thank you for loving me as much as you do.”
