CHAPTER 21

The drive home with Ridwan was a very quiet one as I looked out the window through the whole ride. I

could I have been stupid to think things changed in a few days. I had actually really thought he

changed but he was still the same. We were on our way home and I was also missing my friend's

birthday because my husband is insecure about several things I don't still understand.

He pulled over by the driveway and I got down immediately without even waiting for him. He walked

behind me with speed and as I was going up to the room angrily. His voice made me stop on the

staircase.

"Are we really not going to talk about this" he said and I looked back walking down from the stairs. I

moved closer to were he was standing with confusion about what he really even felt we needed to talk

"What is it exactly you want us to talk about Ridwan, The fact that you're treating me like a child that

can't take care of herself or the fact that you just embarrassed me in front of a whole crowd and

punched my friend or the fact that you are making me miss my friend's birthday because of reasons I

will never understand" I explained angrily as I stared into his eyes.

"The fact that I saw you with that man" Ridwan suddenly and I got even more irritated and angry.

"So, you're just going to ignore the fact that all the other things I mentioned matter too right?" I said.

"You tracked me Ridwan!!! You freaking have a tracker on your phone monitoring anywhere that I am

and you don't think that's ridiculous!!! Why did you get married to me when you don't even trust me!!! I

can freaking take care of myself and until you understand that, things won't change!!" I exclaimed.

"You still haven't answered my questions!!" Ridwan said

"You know what, I am done with this" I said turning to leave then I looked back for a moment.

"The guy you punched was a classmate. I met him at the mall and he decided to show me to where

to get a gift for Hawa. Do with that what you want. I am out of here" I said, then walked upstairs angrily.

I layed on the bed tired with my head faced up, I stared into the ceiling with my hands supporting my

head behind.

I didn't know what to think about, I was furious at Ridwan for everything. I wondered if he knew how

much he hurt me or he was just oblivious to all that is happening around because I really didn't seem to

understand why he was acting so unbothered.

I was still lost in my thought then I felt my phone vibrate on the bed. I looked to the side to catch of

glimpse of who was calling then I realized it was Hawa. I really didn't know what to do at first as I just

stared at the phone on the bed.
