Hello! Mr. Billionaire

Epilogue 5

Epilogue 5:

As Rita drifted off to sleep, a smile still lingering on her lips.

Finn stood in front of the bassinet, gazing down at the two tiny bundles of joy. He reached out and gently ran his finger along the little boy’s cheeks, marveling at the softness of his skin, the delicate curve of his nose. He did the same for the little girl, admiring her dainty fingers and her rosebud lips; she looked like her mom while the baby boy looked like the father, Finn.

He carried the little boy since he was awake and playful. He held their son in his arms and sat on the rocking chair next to Rita’s bed. He gazed down at the tiny baby, his heart bursting with love and wonder.

All of Finn’s previous doubts and fears about fatherhood had melted away, replaced by a fierce, all-consuming love for his children. He couldn’t wait to watch them grow and develop, to be a part of their lives every step of the way.

As he rocked his son gently, Finn thought about all the things he wanted to teach his children. He wanted to teach them about kindness and compassion, about the importance of perseverance. And most of all, he wanted to teach them about love.

As Rita slept, Finn took the opportunity to spend some precious moments with his little ones. He gently placed little bouncing baby boy back in the bassinet next to his sister.

While, they are still in the hospital.

One Rita woke up from her deep slumber; family and friends arrived just in time. Finn had already informed them that Rita has put to bed..

The arrival of their friends and families added a joyful bustle, as everyone eagerly waited to see the new additions to the family.

Rita’s parents were the first to enter the room, their eyes wide with awe as they took in the sight of their new grandbabies.

“Oh, my gosh! Look at them! They’re so tiny!” Finn’s mom chuckled as she marveled at the tiny babies in the bassinet.

“Congratulations to you too”

As the grandparents cooed over their grandbabies, Finn and Rita’s friends came in; Adam, Evelyn, Alex and Madison.

“Congratulations, you guys!” exclaimed Alex the warmth of his smile reflecting the genuine happiness he felt for his brother.

“Wow, Finn, you’re a dad now! I knew you could do it, even if you were a bit nervous about it.” Adam winked playfully at him, recalling their conversations before the twins’ arrival.

“Congratulations to you too” Finn responded, referring to Evelyn’s pregnancy.

“So you literally told everyone you are nervous about this” Rita teased, hitting him playfully.

Finn blushed a little, but he laughed in good humor. “Hey, I’m not ashamed of it. Better to admit my fears than pretend I have it all figured out, right?” he joked.

“True that,” Evelyn nodded, adding, “And I’m sure you’re going to be an amazing father. Your kids are so lucky to have you and Rita as parents.”

As the proud friends and visitors made their exit, closing the door softly behind them, the new family was left alone.

Finn placed his arm around Rita’s shoulders, drawing her close. “We did it, babe. They’re here, they’re healthy, and they’re ours,” he said, a wide smile on his face.

Rita snuggled into his embrace, a faint smile on her lips. “Yes, we did. Our little miracles,” she whispered, placing a gentle kiss on Finn’s cheek.

In the weeks following the birth of their children, Rita began to experience a profound change in her mood. She had trouble sleeping, even when the babies were sleeping soundly. She felt anxious and overwhelmed, even when Finn tried to help her. And worst of all, she began to feel detached from her children, as though she couldn’t connect with them emotionally.

At first, Finn assumed that these were simply symptoms of the exhaustion that came with having newborns. But as the weeks passed and Rita’s mood continued to spiral downwards, Finn began to realize that something more serious was happening.

With each passing day, Finn could sense the feeling growing deeper within Rita. She would often stare at the babies, her expression blank, and he could see the conflict in her eyes.

“Rita, are you okay?” he would ask, his concern growing as she struggled to respond.

“I don’t know,” she would whisper, her voice barely audible. “I don’t feel right, Finn. I don’t feel like myself. I can’t seem to… to connect with them.”

Finn’s heart ached as he watched her struggle.

“Rita,” he said, his voice firm but gentle. “I love you, and I’m worried about you. I know you’re going through something right now, something that’s hard for me to understand. But I want to help you, I want to be there for you. We’re in this together, you know? You, me, and our beautiful babies.”

Rita let out a small sob, her shoulders shaking with emotion. “I don’t know if I can do this, Finn,” she said, her voice trembling. “I’m so scared.”

Finn shook his head, his voice filled with compassion. “Rita, listen to me. You are a wonderful, and loving mother, and those babies are lucky to have you. You’re going through a tough time right now, but that doesn’t mean, it’s very normal okay?”

Finn pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly as she sobbed against his chest. “You’re not alone in this, Rita. I’m here for you, and we’re going to get through this together, okay? I’ll help you with the babies, I’ll hold your hand, whatever you need. We’re a team, remember?”

Rita nodded, her sobs slowing as she began to calm down. “Thank you, Finn,” she murmured, her voice muffled against his shirt. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

In the weeks that followed, Finn made it his mission to help Rita through her postpartum depression. He took over many of the daily tasks with the babies, allowing Rita to rest and recover.

Rita began to open up to him more, sharing her fears and her struggles. She started seeing a therapist, the same therapist she saw when she had vaginismus. and Finn would attend some of her sessions with her, offering support and encouragement.

Slowly, the clouds began to lift, and Rita began to feel more like herself again.

As Rita’s recovery progressed, Finn noticed small changes in her. She started to smile more often, to laugh more easily. She began to engage more with the babies, cooing and talking to them as they played on the floor.

Finn was thrilled to see the change in her. He knew that she still had a long way to go, but he was confident that

she would make it through this dark time.
