Got On His Love Pirate Ship

Chapter 11 My Little Bear God

When Ashburn and I returned home, we both had stern faces. My parents tried their best to liven up the atmosphere, but it was still in vain.

My mom pushed me under the Christmas tree and told me to find a gift.

I randomly picked one since Christmas and birthday wishes were not likely to come true anyway.

My parents were delighted, urging me to unwrap the gift quickly. I reluctantly put on a smile, not wanting to reject their kindness.

However, the moment I opened it, I was stunned.

It was a teddy bear, identical to the one Ashburn had given me.

I looked up at Ashburn, and he was looking at me too.

Mom was my Santa Claus, I always knew that she was more reliable than my teddy bear god.

“Melody, press its heart.”

Facing my mom’s expectant gaze, I gently pressed the heart of the teddy bear and felt something hard.

“I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Three “I love you” messages, from Dad, Mom, and Ashburn.

I hugged my parents tightly, but my gaze was fixed on Ashburn in front of me.

“Thank you, I love you.”

Not that I love you all, but that I love you.

These were the true feelings of two timid souls hidden among the crowd.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

After chatting with my parents and eating cake, I wearily returned to my bedroom.

I placed the teddy bear in its usual spot and began writing a letter at my desk.

I know that there is always something blocking between me and Ashburn.

When I was eighteen, I was willing to break through for him. At twenty-one, I lost that courage.

On the contrary, Ashburn, at twenty, was a coward, but at twenty-three, he wanted to be brave.

We, the timing wasn’t right.

It’s okay. In five days, I would leave this Ashburn-filled world.
