CHAPTER 7- BRINING BACK THE DEAD TO LIFE
CHAPTER 7- BRINING BACK THE DEAD TO LIFE
Ryan's eyes broke open as he sat up straight, looking around he found himself in his bedroom. The
wound was already band aid, he was put on head. Due to being unconscious for too long his visions
and memories were still blur and slowly regaining their stability.
It was 14th of February, the Valentine's day when every soul out there would be cherishing their
memories with their loved ones but for Ryan it was the day of utmost pain and heartbreak. It was that
one day of the year when he would be the saddest; with this day approaching he would become more
silent and finally would hide away from everyone. He would most probably be drunk, passed out
somewhere on the street or sobbing in solitude. Sadly, it has been like this for the past three years.
At the initial days everyone in his clan tried to talk to him but what he lost was something more precious
than his own life, there was no word which could heal or make him feel better.
Every other day of the year he would be loaded with arms and his bodyguards will be everywhere. It
was that one day when he will be all alone and this time some rival found this opportunity to strike at
him.
He was in an abandoned parking lot, drinking his heart out when two men came and assaulted him. He
was both sad and intoxicated yet he tried to fight his life. He did manage to dodge but the men were
stronger than his current state and managed to stab him. Wounded Ryan found it not wise to fight, left
with no other way he abandoned dodging and escaped from them.
He was already unstable and with the tear on his body oozing out with his life Ryan stumbled on the
streets before seeing a slim figure hoping her way to the garbage can. Ryan had no idea what he was
thinking when he went up to her and fell on her unable to stabilize himself.
At first he wanted to ask her to help him but when she saw her scared white face Ryan was rendered
speechless.
She... She reminded him of her!
The snippets of that day came back to his mind... A girl with a yet to mature sweet voice was sitting on
her knees next to him, crying.
"R... Ryan... Wake up... I... I am scared! They are coming at us, wake up... Please..."
Her pitiful cries echoed in his ears as he looked at Bee. Hanging between dream and reality Ryan was
confused where he was at; it was like a Deja Vu... It was same as that day.
Ryan was scared and for a second believed that he was pulled back to that damned day. Believing that
the girl in front of him was her he urged her to leave like he did that day. He couldn't afford to loose her
again.
The last thing he remembers was the sight of her panicked and confused.
W... What happened after that?
Now thinking calmly he was able to make out that she was not her but a whole different girl. Her
features, hairs and looks were totally different from hers.
Ryan looked outside the window with his eyes clouding with agony and nostalgia. He had already
accepted the fact that she was no more but his foolish heart was still trying to find her.
When he was lying on the floor seemingly taking his last breath how badly he hoped that the girl he
stumbled upon was her; he in his daze foolishly believed that she had came back to him...
But alas, there was no way dead could be brought back to life, right! Neither was she her nor was she
coming back to him.
Ryan closed his eyes and pushed away all his thoughts aside.
"She is f*cling dead, Ryan! Stop hoping for her to come back..." He screamed in his mind. Within
seconds he opened his eyes, there was no speck of sadness in them. They were lifeless as his face,
detached of human emotions and de-voided of feelings.
The door was pushed open and entered the same spectacled man from basement. He had his right
hand shoved in his pocket, standing beside the bed he asked, "You are up?"
Ryan silently nodded and pulled out the IV drip. The man stopped him, "Stay... The doctor will come
and check up on you!"
"I am fine, there is no need of a check up." Ryan spat, coldly.
The spectacled man moved away allowing Ryan to get off the bed, from the way he spoke it was easy
for him to say that he was in a really bad mood. The man was called Jake, he was Ryan's right hand
guy, more like a super personal assistant. He had been with him since the time Ryan took charge of the
clan four years ago.
Due to Ryan's special identity it was dangerous for him to go on public exposure so it was always Jake
who used to represent him.
Ryan walked down the hallway with Jake, he asked, "What happened last night..."
Jake reported, "You were found wounded and unconscious in an old park in Brooklyn street when we
came for rescue. When we came there the place was empty indicating that the assassins had ran
away."
"But we looked into the identity of the men who were arranged for the assassination, they are Gomez's
men..."
Ryan grunted as they reached the end of the hallway, before them was a wooden door. Pushing it open Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
the two men went in the dark room; Ryan's lifted his gaze to meet with the terrified eyes of those three
assassins who were beaten up to pulp and we're hanging upside down.
Ryan showed no expression to the men and observed them for a good few seconds. Even though the
man was young and silent the dangerous and terrifying aura he emitted was undeniable. The
temperature of the whole room dropped by a good few temperatures and all of a sudden it started to
suffocate.
Ignoring the three men's pleas to be let free Ryan open his mouth to spat his verdict for which Jake has
been waiting the whole day.
"Kill all three of them..."
Eyeing the guy who stabbed him he said, "Cut away his arms!"
Eyeing the one who kicked him, "Cut his legs!"
And the one who cussed him, "Cut his tongue... And gift wrap them to Gomez!"
He looked up at the ceiling unhearing the begging of the three men. He announced in his usual cold
tone, "This should be done by today. At the day break I want the whole Gomez clan to be removed
from the face of Earth..."
